I'd maybe start a new thread or edit the title of this one buddy. I don't know about the OTA but you could download the full 1.3 firmware from the Nvidia download centre. https://developer.nvidia.com/gameworksdownload

Big issues with my mytouch please help

ok let me start by saying i think I was rip off. I brought a mytouch off of craigslist today and it has software problems. That don't sound to bad right?? Its is when I can't install a new rom to fix the issues. The problems that I have is that the camera keeps force closing and i cant download anything from the market. I click download and get an error to forceclose. All I need is to get a file manager on it and I think I should be able to root it and install a new rom. Before you ask yes I hard reset it twice and still have the same problems. Is there a way to install the file manager on the sd and install it? Please help Im new to this Android thing.
Edit: My post was of no help! Lol *sigh* sorry.
I find it weird though that your phone isn't working even with a factory reset...
You did that with home+power right?

Yes I hard reset twice with home+power.
Give this a try, assuming you know how to use adb.
adb install PathOfApkFile\filename.apk
for example: adb install C:\apkfiles\AndExplorer.apk
Just grab andexplorer. I've used it and it's fine

Hope this helps
Nop never used adb before but i'm doing some reading and i think that i can do it with no issues. I'm at work right now so i cant do anything because of the enternet proxy. Do anyone have a appinstaller.apk and a file manager.apk file that they could up load? From what i've read think its the only files i need load on my mytouch so I can root it. Thanks for all of your help....

MY TPT broken, help plz

I made stupid mistake by updating my TPT to ICS by CWR, now I can not get in CWR and system anymore. What should I do?
How do I get my CWR back?
Can you still see the device in ADB shell? I'm not but I would search some of the ICS update threads in this section, I think someone else did what you did.

Thank you for your reply.
I will try to find the answer then.
PLZ Let me know if you got something
You should be able to access the recovery via adb, and push file to the system, but be careful read up on it before do it it will save you later.

You maybe use APX/NVFlash Mode, It is a micro code than in NVIDIA Tegra CPU ROM,
1. connect use micro USB line to computer,
2. Press POWER and Screen rotation lock togther,
3. a new device "APX Device" is apper at Device management
4. Update APX Driver
5. Use nvflash command line write booloader(Lenovo, ClockWorkMod,etc)
you can find a thread at 51nb forum
i'm curious if this got resolved.
I'm in the same predicament and trying to use the apx nvflash utility without any luck
After losing recovery and root on my tpt, I spent hours trying to fix it with no success. I had no recovery, no adb shell, and no root access so I couldn't change anything. I couldn't use nvflash(locked bootloader--that was my last resort). Ended up sending it to Lenovo and it supposed to be in process of getting repaired now

There has been a thousand threads posted on this issue.
I will give you a hint.

I'm on the latest twrp and I tried to install the SDK files on my windows computer from one guide then I tried to install the SDK files again via qbkings YouTube guide. I was only able to install the platform tools but not the tools in SDK manager. I don't think I needed the tools installed but maybe I do? I was trying to use the adb side load via twrp but it didn't show any devices connected.. Tried to stop server then restart server unplug and plug back in device with no luck..
I found a thread about it but just to confirm I just download wugs toolkit and flash the stock image correct? Then I would have to root again , please correct me if I'm wrong .
no....you dont need any toolkit. all you need is adb, your device, and a freaking rom zip
adb push nameofrom.zip /sdcard/ or /data/media/0
its really simple
doesnt work. if you could be kind enough to elaborate for a minute id appreciate it.. tried adb push, doesnt work.

If you can't figure out how to push the file, or the device will not let you, flash a factory image back to the device and start over from scratch.
Once you root and install your custom recovery, just restore from your nandroid that I'm sure you made and moved to your computer for safe keeping
What do you mean when you say adb push doesn't work? What error do you get?

[Q] Bricked, PC doesn't recognize Download Mode and TWRP sideload doesn't start

Hey guys, it's 4am where I live and I'm becoming desperate now... Hope someone find a solution for my problem and is willing to help me.
I was using the latest CM12 nightly on my new d805 and decided to try the new CloudyG2 3.1. I was told the easiest way to do this is flashing a Lollipop bootstack (which I found here https://github.com/lg-devs/bootstack...master/d802/lp) followed by the Cloudy ROM itself.
I did it through TWRP, and then things started to cramble. On reboot the LG logo briefly appeared followed by a black screen. I've found this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2432476, downloaded the appropriated .kdz but my device isn't recognized by my PC. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and using the universal ones, but my computer just doesn't care about the phone being connected or not.
I tried to start sideload on TWRP so I could push a CM12 .zip back to the phone, but the sideload doesn't start, so I essentially can't send any file to the phone. Is there any hope for me? I'd be so happy if someone gave me a solution for this... I really can't afford to buy another phone right now and this is my only method of contact with some relatives.
Huge thanks in advance, this community rocks.

If you can go in recovery mode you could use the usb-otg to flash a rom and reboot the phone

So I need a specific cable to do this? Is this the only way?
You need a normal usb-otg that can find in every electronics shop

HTC 816 single SIM European - how to unroot

Hi guys,
I need your help because I'm a complete newbie in this field. 2 yrs ago I rooted my HTC 816 with CWM and unlocked the bootloader (my current system is 4.4.2, htc sense 6.0, ver. 1.60.401.1, htc sdk api 6.21, cwm-based recovery v6.0.4.7) ). I would like to upgrade my system but cant do it without unrooting the device. Unfortunately I dont know how to, coz the option with fastboot doesnt work. I can only manually get to hboot option. Can you guys plz tell me what to do to get to factory settings and be able to upgrade my software the official way? Thanks in advance for a "for dummies" explanation. Best regards!

If your version is the single sim a5_ul version( verify in your bootloader or in about phone in your settings first) here's a tutorial with links for restoring stock recovery and rom. Obviously your still on your stock rom so just unroot through your SuperSU or Superuser apps settings then flash back your stock recovery over your custom recovery. Relock your bootloader then upgrade your stock rom through OTA . You can't flash a higher rom from this tutorial without your phone having S off. Just unroot then flash back your stock recovery , lock bootloader then do OTA update. Good luck.

thanks a lot for a quick response, my version is a5_ul with S-ON so i will try the procedure You gave me and inform soon
ADB doesnt see my device <i downloaded sdk manager, updated, also htc sync manager>; i also tried to do it directly from FASTBOOT USB option in my bootloader but also no effect <neither can see it>; should I try the step 3.b then? I'm not sure coz I never had lollipop on my htc

Do you have USB debugging ticked on in your phone's developers settings?
Do you have Java on your computer?
Either of these 2 things could be the reason it's not recognizing your phone because it should be able to.

No don't try step 3b. You'll need to get your device recognized through ADB first but really you should unroot the phone first then get it recognized 2nd then flash back the stock recovery file from that tutorial then relock your bootloader and then you should be able to just update through your stock system or HTC sync manager. If that fails for whatever reason then and only then should you try to flash the stock image from this tutorial. First though you've got to get your device recognized or nothing is going to work so just keep trying on that front.
uffff, I finally managed to do this but it took me many hours Thanks a lot for your help!! It seems <although I aint sure> that the problem was with the java version installed on my notebook. I installed 64-bit and after removing it I installed 32 bit, reinstalled apk and htc drivers, and adb saw my device! I then used supersu to unroot, locked the bootloader and got stuck. But then I copied the zip file into my sd card <another problem was that - I dont know why - but I couldnt copy the 1.2 gb zip file into my sd card so I changed the extension to .txt, copied and changed back to .zip; another another problem was that the file downloaded from the above mentioned tutorial was corrupted. I tried 2 times but it didn't work so I googled another file with the same name and it worked>. All in all, now I have a stock android 6.0 and Im very glad. Thank you very much for your help once again, best regards!
