[6045*] [6039*] info about OTA UPDATES - Onetouch Idol 3 General

I decided to make this thread since there are lot of versions of this device and when someone are rooted, he can easy check here what is the latest update.
Please post allways date, your model number, your country and the firmware update you recieved. I will then update the OP.
The firmware numbering is not same for all regions.
They have divided the world into regions (also europe) and for each region a team starts build a firmware, they take the latest source from TCL and give it their own number (yes their own). So My 6045Y is for Germany,Slovakia,Czech. We got update to 010 03 and then another one (stagefright update) and gues what..the build number was also 010 03. Now when they star selling the device (for example) in Tasmania they will start to build a firmware from latest source (for lot of you 010 07) but they name it 010 01! I think you now understand that when in some region they have 010 07 doesnt mean that 010 03 in our region is older! :-/ Confusing isnt it? :-/

update 5.0.2 010 04
The model K is the dual sim one!!!
I don't really know the date since I only bought it two days ago and the update was already there for dowload

6045K Portugal
Current Firmware is 5.0.2-010 03

any news about the stagefright fixing update? It should start rolling in US from yesterday...

6045Y (French)
Current Firmware is 5.0.2-010 03

no update for now

People have started getting it. I'm hoping someone will upload a twrp-flashable version for us 6045i folks soon...

Sorry but I find the OP a little misleading; It makes it sound as though we are lost and left unknowing about updates. I am rooted and can check for updates available just fine using the Alcatel system update app. As I posted a few weeks ago anyone would simply need to hide their root binary using apps found in the Play market. Now installing the updates is a whole nother thread...

Still no update here, French version

Current Build: 5.0.2 010 04 (received one update).
Does anybody know which devices that July update reached? I'm talking about the "010.01.20150713.17" update that promised camera and performance improvements for the Idol 3 5.5, did the 010 04 update for the 4.7 bring the same improvements? I can't remember the changelog.
A quick update of the list, maybe someone else can double check or fill in the blanks? Is "010 03" for the 6045K and 6045Y the same performance patch that the US models got in July or is it something else?

Hello,
I'm a french user (6045y) and my build reads 010 06.
It's said to be up to date by Alcatel.
I think it's almost the same as the 010 03 but slightly altered by the operator (Orange).
I bought the phone at the end of July and had no update since.

10 06? do you have some orange apps or so?
ok i can confirm that orange phones are 10 06 with just some orange apps, dunno if it changes something

I dunno neither. I've uninstalled Orange apps anyway☺
I suspect it might just be longer to receive updates...
I plan to move to 10.03 eventually.

can you make a full backup for our database?

Ok I'll try but I don't know when as I haven't started all the twrp/root process yet.
I don't wanna root for now as there's no rom available and chances to get OTA are pretty high.
I've red it was possible to use twrp without flashing it so I'm gonna give it a try.

I'm still with version 5.0.2-010 01 here in Finland. Why I can't OTA update even into 5.0.2-010 03? Maybe some day I can download newer firmware from Alcatel?

[Q] new UK note 4 update

Hi
I have a o2 note 4 unlocked. Just got a 134mb update. But nothing seems to be updated after
I didn't remember to take build nor kernel versions but it's still on 4.4.4
Did any one else get this and know what's changed. I was expecting android 5 as the next update tbh.
Cheers

Help needed about updating software

Hello!
So I'm not a professional in updating android softwares, so I need some help.
I bought my P8Lite in December from a Vodafone Romania shop with the following software
Model num: ALE-L21
Build num: ALE-L21C02B140
Kernel:3.10.61-ge512ab7
[email protected] #2
Wed Aug 26 11:36:20 CST 2015
This bugged me a lot since most of my friends having identical devices had newer software:
Model num: ALE-L21
Build num: ALE-L21C432B171
Kernel:3.10.61-ga9763c9
[email protected] #2
Fri Oct 9 15:12:01 CST 2015
I was searching for an official update on Huawei Romania Suppor page, found nothing, yet had "more luck" on Huawei Hungaria's Support page, they've got an ALE-L21C432B170 (dual SIM, Global Europe) and anALE-L21C432B171 (single-SIM, Global Europe) firmware ready to download.
I don't recall which one I downloaded and installed, but since then I have the following on the device's info menu:
Model num: hi6210sft
Build num: BalongC50B311
Kernel:3.10.61-ga9763c9
[email protected] #2
Wed Sep 30 03:09:13 CST 2015
I am totally unsure and not pleased at all with the wrong infos, mostly because some apps do not even work correspondingly. Even the browser pop-up ads recognize my device as a Honor 4x. This bugs me a lot.
My main question is:
Is my warrianty voided?
Can someone link me an official update for my device, so I can install it manually or should I send it back to the local vodafone service and wait a month for it, have all my data wiped and all?
I'd mention, that I found the recent ALE-L21C432B551 (single SIM, Android 6.0, EU Global) and ALE-L21C432B550 (dual SIM, Android 6.0, Eu Global) firmwares on Huawei Hungaria's Support site, yet I do not want to risk anything, that's why I ask you, professionals.

True they are bad with software updates, but an official AODService by Samsung app was uploaded on Samfirmware website, and it said compatible with S7 & S6 specifically, leading us to believe that AOD is in the works for the S6, considering the new Galaxy A8 has the same chipset as our S6 but also has AOD.

yes i know that but if we think logical it has never been done yet that samsung is releasing new featers of one newer model to the previous model or am i wrong? and i still cant understand samsung they can give the a8 (midrange) the features of the s7 but not the flagship s6
i'm really fed up with samsung

Thank for upload, flash of firmware doesn't work for me. Anyone has same problem ?
Which odin version should I use?
Does anyone have a mega link for the BTU version of this?
Thanks in advance
The Russian build of G920FXXU4DPJN fails after applying hidden.img. Using an older version now instead as Russian seems to be the only one with 2016-11-01 security updates.

Yes, flashing the Russian build via Odin fails at ~90%, on hidden.img. I was afraid it would brick the device, but it didn't. I used flashed another build over the existing one, it worked just fine.

Extract hidden.img and rename it to hidden.img.tar, then flash with AP option in Odin.
