[TUTORIAL] Enable Softkey for CM7 ROMS

hy all I will announce on how to activate Softkey in CM7 rom but please note that this framework-res his or her system should be deodexed

Requirements :
Apktool
Notepad++

Step 1
Open this Apktool/cmd.exe
Step 2
Decompile file framework-res.apk
Step 3
go to folder framework-res.apk/res/value/bools.xml open with notepad++
and select
"cm_default_tablet">true</bool>
"cm_default_has_soft_buttons">true</bools
Step 4
Decompile as framework-res.apk
Finnaly
open the framework-res.apk file using 7-zip
then go to the folder framework-res/build/apk
There disamna resource, arc
nah this file then drag the framework-res.apk
using 7-zip

I think that there is an option for enabling the soft keys in the "Tablet Tweaks" in cyanogenmod settings..

I would like to alert all GingerZaraki users (and any other ROM which has the statusbar bug like mine) NOT to use this mod. You will loose all icons on the statusbar. No, launching Terminal Emulator and Rebooting WON'T work. Just a note.

and do not know its deodexed or ODEX system
but if its ODEX file ...

its perfect because after delete android-res.apk everything works awesome in all themes u can try that

restore it from the stock rom

Before I try this: anyone any idea what this android-res file does actually? Why is it there in the first place?

If i delete this file , maybe the DPI restore to stock
Because i change DPI by edit this file

2. Delete SamsungIME.odex (ignore if you're deodexed)
3 . Download zip from the above mentioned link
4. Reboot device into recovery
5. Install zip option and navigate to downloaded zip file DONE
NOTE : THIS MOD WILL WORKS ANOTHER TOUCHWIZ KITKAT ROM DEVICES TOO

i did try everything in the settings but it does not work.....the predective text bar shows up but there are no words showing and when i swipe nothing comes...the conitinious input thing is cheked

I think you've read installation method,
INSTALLATION

see step 1 i.e Backup SamsungIME.odex and SamsungIME.apk ( both files comes under system/app/).
To Restore
delete current SamsungIME.apk in system/app/ and replace SamsungIME.odex and SamsungIME.apk to system/app/
Note : if your ROM is de-Odexed then no need to copy SamsungIME.odex

I tried by replacing old files but didnt get any solutn

Use only one sim and let the other sim card off. Then no sim switcher in notif panel.

Use root explorer /system/build.prop then copy save. Rw-r-r is the right permission. Reboot then your done.

So tell me if u know i should use both sim..but the switch should be removed !!
i used samsung grand duos and i can able to remove it with some mods... in lollipop i cant remove it...if i remove it, i will have much notification space...
just kidding... dont take it serious....

Dear my friend please read it carefully. You did not mention that you activate both sim right? And if your a real developer maybe you dont need to ask any opinions from a noob like us right, coz u can manage it by your self and you can cut your head all by your self and let it boil. Lol. ✌

I have been trying so hard to get this feature but have failed so far!
I'm trying to enable the Quick Settings Toggles Switcher in the status bar.
In picture 1, the button is missing; it's in Galaxy Grand Prime Lollipop firmware.

What version of Android? I think this mod only works on TouchWiz Lollipop.​
