Hello!
I'm asking myself how to disable Fast Dormancy on my phone? My carrier doesn't support it, and I remember when I disabled FD on my last SGS3, my battery was increased by 20%. Can I do it only with a built prop editor?

Apparently so yes. You need root like you did on the galaxy s3 as well.

Was happy to see it was disabled but not so happy when I saw about 30 min of fast dormancy wakelocks. And yes I did reboot.

yes I did. Maybe Samsung changed the way to toggle it and that app doesn't do anything.

My Note 2 Battery drains in one day!!! I need to change it atleast twice a day if I use it for long time and even thought I don't use it much, battery drains very quickly. Please suggest some options to improve battery life
Turn off location service when nt in use
Gps nfc n all that
Use greenify to hibernet apps..
Disable the app which u dnt use frequently

Install betterbatterystats or wakelock detector app to investigate the reason.

I have bought galqxy s5 3 days ago. But from the last night the battery was draing very fast. So i restart my phone. It fix it. But today morning it has drain 30% of battery in standby mode with wifi off abd battery saver was also on plz tell me how to fix it.

Try disabling all motion gestures, do not use gps, disable NFC etc. Do not put AUTO mode on brightness, set it to 20%ish. Do not install apps that disable and enable data or gps, they do not work.
I get 5hours onscreen time with that setting. try it

I've tried several roms even without recover data but my battery keeps last very low.
I suspect could be the battery itself.
Can someone please help me to understand what is causing this?

Hi,
As far as I can see your main wakelock is " fast dormancy " try to disable it and see if it help , the other one MSM_hsic_host may be related to the fast dormancy.

I cannot found a way to disable fast dormancy because Kitkat s4 is not compatible with the app "fast dormancy toggle" and my career seems not to support dialer code *#9900#.
EDIT: currently I have slimsaberkat which is AOSP so it's impossible to disable fast dormancy.
But I seem to be the only one (reading from the relative thread) who has battery problem with that ROM.

Solved moving to TW Rom and disabling fast dormancy.
When my phone is in the standby mode, the battery consumes 1% in 10 hours, but when i use it, the battery consumes 1% in 2 minutes
Why? It is there a solutions for the battery?

Can you show the battery usage screen?
And also use Wakelock Detector app to check which apps eat your juice.

Can I suggest you get 'greenify' from Xposed.
Then use greenify to freeze all background tasks.
Perhaps there is something running while your phone is awake, just a suggestion. Probably not your battery if you get a good life when the screen is off.
Are you using any custom kernel, in case of increased voltage or high frequencies or an aggressive governor.
I use the kernel from omega v23. Can i find the default kernel from note III to flash to my rom?

on me too.. if i play a game for a example battery drain so fast..i use stock rom for n900k .. but i have a question..i have a s4 charger 5v/1A and battery discarge if i play..or look on phone..internet etc.. i need a 2A charger? ..
as i can see android "android system " drains a lot of battery .... so if you are rooted you can you app master ( i have used it its a very nice app ) unistall some google apps you dont need or you dont use that much ( you can replace them with similar apps from the market ) also use greenify and any other app that can "clear" your ram i also use gsam battery monitor to check how much battery my phone drains in 1 hour
