!!!! Hey Y'all Fill Your Signature With Your Device Info Before Post Please!!!!!

Hi all!!!
Fist of all Im Not insulting anybody... This is for our BENEFIT.
After some post and time, in XDA general forum Im exposing this problem:
We have too much BRICKED Devices in wizard forums, cause our devices have too DOC CHIP Flash versions inside and the people dont reads enough information, to know where to go and ask whatever they think. So We suggest a solution... when somebody register on the forum it must be some fill spaces about his device like ours... but it is imposible!!! and they are right, the reason is We cant obligate everybody to do this, even if is an important Info to avoid damages.
So... Flar (MOD) told me that we can get a Stickie Thread to let knows to everybody in wizard forums to fill their signature with the information we need to answer their questions, its a great Idea!!!!
So the hope is the last thing to die....
PLEASE EVERYBODY FILL YOUR SIGNATURE WITH YOUR DEVICE INFO
So let me tell you what Info is important to fill in:
Device Model Provided if not in front cover under the battery in the label that say the IMEI and serial (If you want the name that carriers use, I think is not important but i see some people wit his HTC UNIVERSAL using Roms for wizards!!!) BRICKED PDA!!!
IPL and SPL version, provided by a softreset on the second screen(this info is shown on the second splash screen when device boots)
Radio version provided too in the second splash screen (when the phone starts or boot after the softreset under the name GSM!)
OS Version its shown again in the second splash screen (are just number like 1.0.0.0. or something like that)
The Rom you are currently using, Developer and Windows mobile version too, give to the chefs his fame and reputation too!!! they deserve lots of congrats even the ROM is ugly... cause it costs too much than a bricked device. if you have an original ROM please provide the link to it and all the info.
CID/SIM locked or unlocked SuperCID(G3), softSPL or HardSPL (G4) if you never do the unlock process on tutorial... You Are locked!!!
Its important that you read carefully the wiki Cause it has so much informatino like knowing about your DOC CHIPSET G3 or G4 (IPL, SPL can do it too) there is some Faq Manual if you can read a little too.
IF you got any question or suggest PM me you can found ME around Here.
Thanks To all!!!!! and mods to let me put this Stickie on every Topic in wizard forums.
Thanks to all the new members that recah his limits just for revives his devices or upgrade his devices we are here for help y'all.
Thanks to all Seniors, Administrators and Moderators for support our forum...
Im kinda MISS UNIVERSE????!!!!!
See on the upper lever bar of this web it says... USER CP click it and then on the Left bar see the option Signature... to edit your info
Just if you dont know what am I talking about.

New file structure for the Atrix?

Over on the Motorola Owners' Forum the griping continues regarding the recent 4.1.83 update nuking everyone's online banking apps. But one tidbit which has me curious has emerged: in explaining why we can't just downdate back to 4.1.57, Mark (the forum manager) mentions that "Due to some changes in the file structure with the 4.1.83 update it is not possible to properly downgrade to 4.1.57."
Interesting. Anyone know what he's referring to?
(p.s.: sorry for the lack of a link to the quoted forum post, but as a n00b here the s/w won't let me post any external links. Anyway there's no more info there than I just told you).

1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
2. Member conduct.
2.1 Language: XDA is a worldwide community. As a result what is ‘ok’ to say in your part of the world may not be ok in someone else’s part of the world. Please think about who is reading what you write. Keep in mind that what you think of as acceptable use of language may not be acceptable to others. Conversely, while reading member posts, remember that word you find offensive may not be to the writer. Tolerance is a two way street.
2.2 Nudity: XDA is used by people of all ages, including minors. It's not acceptable to post nude/pornographic imagery, which includes exposure of the male or female genitalia or of female breasts.
2.3 Flaming: XDA was founded as a group of people sharing information about certain mobile phones. Sharing does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) it does involve working together to solve problems in an environment of mutual respect and understanding. Losing your temper and flaming another member, or group of members, is not acceptable behavior.
2.4 Personal attacks, racial, political and/or religious discussions: XDA is a discussion forum about certain mobile phones. Mobile phones are not racial, political, religious or personally offensive, therefore none of these types of discussions are permitted on XDA.
2.5 Courtesy towards other Members: Treat new members the way you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instruction when you can and always with respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.
2.6 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.
3. Post only using a clear subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
4. Use the English language.
We understand that with all the different nationalities not everyone speaks English well, but please try. If you're really unable to post in English use an online translator, You're free to include your original message in your own language below the English translation.
5. Post a message only once.
As a large forum we don't need unnecessary clutter, You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time, it might take a while before you receive an answer.
6. Do not post warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez nor do we permit any member to promote or describe ways in which Warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained. This is a site of developers, i.e. the sort of people who create such software. When you cheat a software developer, you cheat us as a community
7. Do not spam.
If you wish to advertise a product, contact us we provide ads. But do not post it in the forums, it will be removed and you're likely to receive a ban.
You are however allowed to sell used goods like your own device, parts of your device or accessories for your device in the marketplace forum, please read the rules there before posting. (This rule includes signatures, if you use a signature it will appear in your post)
8. Donations.
We appreciate all donations to xda-developers.com, it keeps our forum online and well maintained. As a user you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work. However donations up front are not allowed, this forum is about sharing, not about getting paid to do something, that's what your job is for.
9. Don't get us in trouble.
Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things that will obviously lead to legal trouble. If you wouldn't do it on your own homepage, you probably don't want to do it here either. This does not mean we agree with everything the software piracy lobby try to impose on us, it simply means you cannot break any laws here, since we'll end up dealing with legal hassle caused by you. Please use common sense: respect the forum, its users, and those that write great code.
10. Help others if you can.
If you see posts from others where you can help out, please do. This place exists because people are helping each other, and even if you are relatively new to the matter, there's probably already quite a few people newer than you that would benefit from what you've learned. Don't be shy.
11. Don’t post with the intention of selling something.
Don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar/substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.
Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software, or commercial services. unless you’re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com.
Encouraging members to participate in forum activities on other phone related sites is prohibited.
Off-site downloads are permitted if the site is non-commercial and does not require registration.
Off-site downloads from sites requiring registration are NOT encouraged but may be permitted if the following conditions are met:
A) the site belongs to a member of XDA-Developers with at least 1500 posts and 2 years membership who actively maintains XDA-Developers' support thread(s) / posts, related to the download,
B) the site is a relatively small personal website without commercial advertising/links (i.e. not a competitor forum-based site with purposes and aims similar to those of XDA-Developers.com.)
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails then you may contact a moderator with clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence you created the work then in the spirit of sharing all work will remain posted on the forums.
As an addition, developers have the right to hold exclusivity over their work for as long as it is deemed necessary by the dev or freely share it. However, if the work is claimed as exclusive, it must remain as such. No selective sharing will be allowed (ie allowing certain people to use it and not others). Should the dev decide to start sharing the work with others, the work automatically becomes fair game for all to use.
In regards to permissions, same rules remain for this but if permission was already given, unless there is a very valid reason, it cannot be revoked (same applies to major updates on the work). Under that same premise, permissions cannot be denied unless the work is exclusive or under severe circumstances.
In plain English: If you want to keep your work exclusive, go for it. However, if you are going to share your work, do it fairly.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA (including but not limited to ROMs, RUUs, apps, games, kernels, themes, icons, etc) unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.
13. Advertising and Income Generation
Commercial advertising, advertising referral links, pay per click links and other income generating methods are forbidden. Do not use xda-developers as a means to make money.
14. Create only one User Account
You are allowed one User Account at xda-developers. If you create additional accounts, Moderators will disable them and your original account may also be disabled or infracted.
15. Keep posts/threads on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
16. Bumping Threads (posting simply to force a thread to the top of the thread queue)
Do not "bump" a thread more than once per 24 hours.

Are you sure that you have lost your root ?
Have you make a backup from your root before the JB update ?
If yes, normally you can restore it without problem. The backup of your root doesn't made automaticaly
If not, I think that it lost.
Thanks for the reply.I actually had a backup that i had with the OTA root keeper, however for some reason the update wiped all my data, incl. my personal files inside the tablet.SO as a result, everything is gone.(btw i updated from the download version from ASUS site, not OTA update, and my device is unlocked)
Hi, thanks for this thread "Tiger"....we needed it
To answer the root problem, you'll need to do the root over again....its not that bad though.
I had to do it....so follow the links at the top of this thread and do as they say, I used the method for the TF300T and the CWM Touch recovery.....worked like a charm.
I am only wondering if I can put back on the tablet EZ-Overclock?....heard they had issues on the TF300T JB
Thank you.

I also have a rooted TF300TG and would like to do the JB thing. I can not find a clear way of doing it on the 300TG though.
I also have a backup of the current ICS root. Currently sh.. scared of rendering the tablet useless as I use it for trading.
Okay now that the firmware is up on Asus's website I can update too (can't OTA) so any comment on the update itself for tg users? I saw this thread & people has reported many issues: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1857288
so since our update came long after 300t how's this update for us? are those issue fixed, anything to report? as someone who has just bought his tf300tg and is perfectly happy with ICS should I go on & update or wait for later updates from Asus?

TF300TG - Got OTA ...
Hi' all.
I also have TF300TG which is rooted. I got OTA message from ASUS.
For now i've posponed install. But i'm wondering. Does any one know if it's ok to do OTA update and will it be posible to use Voodoo OTA RootKeeper to recover root, or will i have to go with the whole procedure shown in this topic?
Please, help
Backup the root via Voodoo, and normally it will be good. That's what I have done for my 300TF.
After the update, just restored and updated SuperSu or Superuser

This worked for me and you follow this at your own risk!!! I wont take responsibility for Bricked or Broken Tablets!!!

Dear Asus Transformer TF300TG users,
Asus released the Jellybean update. Here is a guide which will let you:
- Prepare your tablet for the Jellybean update
- Update your tablet to Jellybean software
- Install recovery and give you root acces
== Part 1 - Prepare the tablet ==
First we need to install the .V9.4.4.40 update to be able to upgrade to the Jellybean software, then we will do the actual upgrade to Jellybean.
1) Download the V9.4.4.40 update: Asus support site
2) Got to recovery and make a backup
3) In recovery do to a factory reset and wipe dalvik cache
- TWRP recovery: Wipe => Dalvik Cache and Wipe => Factory reset
- CWM recovery: Factory reset and Advanced => Wipe Dalvik Cache
4) Flash the Asus recovery "Here I had to change the way I did this as it would not flash for me in recovery mode, I unzipped the ICS zip and unzipped it again to receive the BLOB file, place this file with the fastboot file in the adb folder
4.1) Open a command prompt in the same folder of the adb and fastboot files (Shift + Right mouse)
4.2) Reboot into the bootloader of your tablet, type: adb reboot bootloader
4.3) When your tablet has reached the bootloader navigate with volume down to the usb icon and press volume up to confirm.
4.4) To flash the recovery type:
- fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery blob
5) Then reboot the tablet holding down the power button or using fastboot.
The Jellybean update will only be automatically launched with stock recovery
== Part 2 - Upgrade to Jellybean ==
This will upgrade your tablet to Jellybean (Android 4.1)
6) Here I unzipped the V10.4.3.7 file I download from the Asus website for my Tablet to receive another zip.....again make sure its the correct SKU!!! and place that zip file onto the internal sdcard of the tablet using the cable and computer.....once I had done this I then unplugged the tablet from the computer and checked the notification area on the tablet, now automatically it said there is an upgrade available and when clicking on it the process will start.
== Part 3 - Install recovery and rooting ==
Follow this part on the attached thread (Part 3)
This should do the same for you, but if you are having trouble I will try help you best I can, or you are more than welcome to try it the OP way on his thread.
If I have helped you please hit THANKS button....its free and I appreciate it
Also thank the Members below....please
== credits ==
- krabappel2548 for linked / coppied thread (Hope I dont get into trouble)
- eyeballer for TWRP recovery
- untermensch for CWM recovery

Thank you.
Update worked like a charm, root restore did too.
BUT...
during JB update i've left SDCard in TF300 microSD slot and ... tablet can't see this one particular sd card!!!!
1. card works perfectly in every other device (htc phone, laptop etc)
2. card reader in tf300 works perfectly - other cards work
3. even this card works in tablet when i connected it through dock usb (via phone) - didn't test it via docks sdcard reader (i don't have adpater with me).
4. (new) - tested with adapter to full SD in sd card reader in dock station and this card works!!!, in Tablets microSdCardReader still doesn't.
It seems, like JB update remembered this card in some way, and doesn't want to mount it again.
(card was reformated, and even wiped (zeroed) totaly, partitioned and formated again....)
still doesn't work...
Any Ideas? Where JB can keep this information? card S/N? Did any one had this problem??

second is removable/microSD
If you use EsFile explorer with rights of root, you will see in "Favorites"

It will be cool to write thanks, but it will be better to click on "THANKS" button just left down.

Hi there,
I have a Tf300tg and it was rooted before the update. Unfortunately I didn't see any problem in update to JB, so I just updated the firmware. The problem it's that when I tried to install titanium backup it says that I don't have the root on the tablet and I don't have a backup of the root. Can I root again? I have the superUser installed yet. Can anyone help me with that?
Thanks!

Have you installed and backuped your root with Vodoo Rootkeeper ?
If not, you have lost your root and that's why TB says you din't have root.
Use Root checker from Google play for be sure of that.

New Head Unit MCU MTCC-KLD6-V2.91 Android 5.1.1

Hi everyone, I just purchased a head unit for my 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander and when I hooked it up on the bench last night I discovered that the MCU Version is MTCC-KLD6-V2.91
I'm new to Android Auto, just started reading about MTCB and MTCD MCUs but couldn't find a single link or article about the MTCC. What did I get myself into here?
Btw. Unit looks and works great (bench test only) all apps except for Sygic work awesome (bench test only)
Hello rafy, hello neo,
I got the same unit with the same firmware etc.
I wanted to install TomTomGo, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Other User posted their solution here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcb-software-development/solution-tomtom-connection-to-internet-t3368026
So that's why I wanted to install Xposed Phone Id Changer. For that I need my device rooted. Could you already rooted your device?
Where can I find the guidance to root a device, or is this depend from the Type?
Thanks for your feedback
Hello all,
are you able to help me. Finally I could rooted my device. But I'm not able to install the XPosed Framework. Do you have any advice for me? In recovery menu there is no option to install anything,- only updating / install a MCU. In different MTCD threads they mentioned, that a backup (for example Nandroid) doesn't help because we will not be able to recover the backup.
How could you install XPosed Framework on Lollipop?
Hello all,
I got the confirmation from seller that this is NOT a new unit. Only the MCU version jumped from MTCB to MTCC.
So that's why I installed Android 4.4.4 from Malaysk Rom. And all is working very well ... including TOMTOM.
But please notice I do not give any warranty. If you flash your device, you will do that on your own risk.
I can only confirm that I could successfully install Malaysk Rom on my unit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9#post67280169
Have a nice weekend.

@Enemy004 I was also looking at that solution. But not tried yet.
I did spent a lot of time to get it working, but finally gave up and sent TomTom an email.
They told me a bs story that the chip-set is not compatible, (rt3188) just find that a little hard to beleave.
Also i contacted the seller and the factory reset password is "126". Its looking to be the same as this unit. :

You're right all listed passwords working fine for my device. So this is another indicator that we have the same unit.
neoatomic said:
(There is also a code to root the unit in the above description.) How did you root the unit.?
Also how can you enter the recovery menu in the unit.? (i only have 4 buttons. power/home/navi. And a hidden reset button)
Hope @Malaysk is willing to take a quick look at the photos, and is able to tell us what unit/rom we have. And if we can use any of his custom Rom's.

You don't need to root your device if you want to use Malaysk's Rom. I rooted my device with hope to install the XPosed Framework on Lollipop (Android 5.1.1). But it seems that nobody could to that till now. But if you want to root your device because you will keep your rom:
Factory settings> *#hct#root#
Install King Root latest version from their website
took few minutes after being stock on 90% and succeeded
You can enter the recovery menu if you press the reset and the power button at the same time for somy seconds. Release first the reset button. After that your Unit will restart in Recovery Mode.

Just to be 100% sure, your device had identical (1:1) information as shown in the first post pictures.?
And the flashing of the Malaysk's Rom went smooth.? No issues.? Or not working buttons etc.?
Just a little hesitant because the device is brand new.

Please check.
For me Malaysk rom is a well-conceived rom. A lot of settings are can be found more easily than in the original rom. Moreover I love the look from this rom. At the moment I try to use a nice Icon Pack.
But my main intention to buy this radio/unit was TomTom.
It's important to read the thread from Malaysk. There are a lot of instructions. If Malaysk found a solution regarding XPosedFramework on 5.1.1 Android. I will install this.
And yes, all buttons from the Unit will work. Moreover all buttons from your wheering steel will still work. For safety you may note down (or make screenshots) from all factory settings.
While flashing the rom, having patience is an important attribute.
Have a nice sunday. If you want another picture. Let me know.
@Enemy004, +1 to all the thanks. I ordered a unit a couple weeks ago that has an MTCC MCU. I very much appreciate your efforts to determine what MTCC is.

Hello all,
I got the confirmation from seller that this is NOT a new unit.

Could you please give me the link to the ROM you used for your device. Link in your previous post is dead.
I also have MTCC _KLD6 head unit. Thanks in advance

Did some one install Android auto on this 5.1.1 radio? Does it work?
I don't understand your question? Did you read all posts in this thread?
Short:
I installed Malaysk ROM (Android 4.4.4) on my 5.1.1 radio. And my radio work very well. Malaysk provides ROMs for 51.1, too. I decided for 4.4.4 because of XPosed Framework.
Xposed works on 5.1.1 Malaysk
xposed works on 5.1.1 look for update_5_1_1_FUSE_1024X600_RK3188_03_MAL_25_07_2016_MTCB.rar

Check the "Lollipop for MTCB" thread, @dsa8310 has a solution.
Could a Mod move this to the MTCB forums and rename them "MTCB/MTCC" forums ?
If it is possible to flash Malaysk's android 5.1 ROM, then why not move it into the MTCD forums, because I would rather flash the new version than the old one...

Because its NOT an MTCD unit, its an MTCC unit. Malaysk does ROMs for MTCB/MTCC and MTCD.
It is NOT possible to flash Malyask's MTCD ROM (I never said it was), it is only possible to flash Malaysk's MTCB/MTCC ROM.
Hi !
You seem to have almost the same unit for Mazda 6.
Which ROM have you used? Isn't is slower than the original which was already terribly sluggish for me?
Could you give me a link to the flashing tutorial ?
I have never done this before and wooldt like to brick my unit .
Thanks !
Kind regards . Tomasz

ALL these units are the same inside, for whatever car and including the universal ones. Flashing is the same for all versions as well.
Please read the thread I told you about yesterday for more info and ask questions there, this thread is useless because ALL units are the same for software purposes !!
To update, put update.img on sd card put sd card in slot (in the GPS slot if you have 2) and go to settings/update, it will update automatically. Alternatively hold down power and reset, release reset then power and you will boot into recovery, then install from there.

Hi!
I remember this, but the links in the post you quoted were already expired yesterday.
It was of no use, except giving me information someone got the solution, without possibility to use it.
Thus I continued the search, not willing to make use of your time...
For now, I still have no solution for me. I found a user that successfully rooted himself the unit with Kingo Root.
I didn't work for me.
So, still looking for the solution. I also have written a priv to the author of the ROM you suggested.
Kind regards,
Tomasz

Its just a simple case of looking in the forums to find the thread - ALL your "problems" were solved months ago, they are not problems anymore, just read the thread entitled "Lollipop for MTCB/C Head units" :

With all due respect, but you've sent me the same link as in your first message to me and as I've writted - it is not working. It says:
Nothing found
The owner may have deleted the file or restricted access to it.
Or you might have received a link with a typo.
It's easy to send Yandex.Disk links to your friends. Even large photos and videos can be sent in one link.
Don't judge me 'from the above', as I have spent more time seeking the XDA (time I don't have when working 2 jobs) that you obviously think, and found no clear and obvious solution.
Please note that XDA is not indexed by google, what you can fin when googling is useless HuiFei Wiki (USELESS!!!!).
On XDA you may only find single threads, which is still useless, as there is no simple way to swich to some usefull information.
FAQ?
Those are only marked threads.
Seeking my problem among this is a disaster.
I would expect a direct link on XDA: "ROOTING the device" -> choice of devices using "MTTC-KDA6", etc. codes, and then full tutorial how to make this work.
For now, there are only opinions of people that report to succeed, but without a solution for me.
So please...
Any real solutions available?
Kind regards,
Tomasz

Well something is wrong then because I checked the link after I posted it and I ve just clicked on it now and it goes straight to the correct place . . .
Nevertheless you can easily google it, thats how I found the link anyway as I did not have the thread open at the time, google is the quickest way to find stuff on xda. Another method id to look in the "Android Auto" section of xda, theres a general section and FOUR MTCB/C sections, a Q&A, a general section, a software section and a hardware section, I m surprised you have not been able to find them.
The wiki is not "useless" it has lots of useful stuff in it, just because it doesnt happen to cover your problem does not make it useless.
The rooting method is in the wiki, if it does not work then the thread I keep mentioning has all the solutions and help you could wish for and many many people with the knowledge and experience to help you, all you need to do is read it and post in it.
The MCU is irrelevant to rooting so you will not find any links that will help you mentioning the MCU.

I don't have this device and I did notice that the developer (@Allooosh98) had closed the thread due to time constraints but, I did notice that there's other developers who had also released their own flavors of the ENIGMA ROM's.
Here's just a handful of them and also some others that may, hopefully, be helpful.

If your unable to obtain any guidance or similar, i would recommend that you post your question within the following thread that's specific to your device and you should be able to obtain some member guidance from there.
