Fonts reset after some time, Apps take too long to install - YU Yureka Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm on Exodus ROM, 1707 build.
Lightning SBTC kernel.
Pico CyanogenMod gapps.
My issue is that apps download normally but some (most of them) take way too longer than normal to install.
I tried Installing apps from apks and the same issue arises.
I reflashed the to, went back to kk and upgraded. Then flashed this ROM again. But no luck
Also After flashing CMOS 12 apps, I had 2 theme store. I had to remove one (the one without cyanogen logo).
But the issue is that after I apply a theme, the messenger, whatsapp and some other apps' fonts reset to default after sometime.
Please help to solve these issues!

About your issue of slow install, that has been quite the normal case with Lollipop in general, if you feel that apps are being installed at a slower rate then try some other ROM if same continues with other ROM then you'd have found that it's not the ROM's fault else its got something to do with the ROM, post a query to the OP of that ROM's thread.
There maybe some conflict in the theme manager due to you flashing COS12 apps. I'd recommend that you flash the ROM again and see if this issue persists without you flashing COS12 apps.

OP2 kernel problems, considering H2OS?

Hi all, I am new here. I was referred by a friend who knows more about this than I do. I think I understand how to get fastboot and TWRP, so that is taken care of already. Now the problem with my OP2 running OxygenOS latest version, everything stock, is that it freezes up after unlocking, and the whole phone is just terribly throttled at this slow speed for a long time. All inputs are extremely delayed, and touchscreen is nearly unusable after the lag begins. There are so far two temporary fixes I found: 1) reboot phone 2)wait it out/keep unlocking until it doesn't lag. I also have been unable to make a copy of my internal storage via USB, as it gives unspecified error during copying. And lastly, the screen dims on its own sometimes at random while anything related to auto-brightness should be off. Fortunately, I was able to make a hard copy of my internal storage thru some wifi file manager apps. Now my friend pointed out that my phone's issues could be related to a bad kernel. To remedy this, he told me it would be good to flash a new kernel onto my phone. I considered changing roms to CM, but apparently a lot of functionality is lost when doing this. He told me that I could retain Oxygen OS while flashing a new kernel, but I am not sure how to do this. I came across a post in the android dev section regarding hydrogen os, and I read that it performs better than Oxygen OS, but has minor issues of its own. I am interested in flashing this rom/kernel (I am not sure which is which). Here is the link in that section of the forum I found http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/development/rom-h2os-hydrogen-os-ota-clean-stable-t3195636. I see it says that it is working on Indian OP2, and running stock rom and stock kernel. Does this mean that my north american OP2 won't be able to get this rom? Also if it is the stock kernel, does that mean it is the same kernel as the one currently installed on my phone? Anyways, if anyone knows about my phone's problems, or has a way to fix it let me hear it please. Thank you!

I had the same issue with O2. I changed kernels and the problems persisted. A also word the device and started from scratch through fastboot and the issues persisted. I ended up on hydrogen and I've never looked back. There is a flashable zip in that thread for the newest full version .11. Follow the steps wipe everything besides internal storage, flash the full v11 zip and boot the phone. After this reboot to recovery (power and volume down). Flash the gapps and super su zip if you want root. After this you should be able to add your Google account and be good to go. One thing I did was remove all Chinese apps and the stock launcher. I use trebuchet launcher from cm 12.1. Phone runs incredibly smooth now. I recently started running AK kernel as well. The oxygen version works with hydrogen. I have been averaging between 5 and 7 hours of SOT for battery with up to 8 if I'm just watching videos. Hope this helps. The ROM is a little simpler and the notifications settings are different. But you can set apps to have priority notifications and they function similar to oxygens notifications at that point. Everything is in the thread if you have any questions I'll try to help you.

All apps stop constantly and in random way -SM-N910F

Hello.
At first, I am new in the forum, so hi to everybody and thanks for the job in this site.
I have a very big problem with Note 4 ( I can't use it right now). Since I rooted the phone and changed the rom (to Cyanogenmod 12) all apps stop constantly and in random way. I have tried everything (I think so), return to the stock rom (android 5.0.1), make wipes (cache, data...) and reinstall the rom from Samsung switch.
I don't know what to do.
More info: All apps stop but the gapps stop with more frequency. I sent the device to the technical service but they take it back because I have modified the software (knox 0x1).
Sorry for my english. I am from Spain.
Thanks.

All of them
No, I don't believe in those apps. The only thing that I did for imrpoving the performance was to intall CM12 (It works fine at first)
I thought that CM12 doesn't work well with the Fast Charging... Could it be?
Thanks.
It seems like you might've flashed a gApps package for an earlier version of Android than what Cm12 is (5.1.1).
Try a full device wipe, reflashing CM12 & a gapps for 5.1.1

I tried that and It didn't solve the problem. I also reflashed the stock rom (with Odin). Without effect, the problem was not resolved...
Thanks for your help.

Specific apps missing after reboot (BasicPlus 2)

Hi,
I use BasicPlus 2 rom by t-shock (http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/rom-basicplus-1-t3402601).
When I reboot my device, specific apps are complety missing and I have to restore them with TB to go on.
This is reproducible with these certain apps, for example Swiftkey, Es Explorer and Google Calendar.
I had this issue before and I fixed it by deleting the 'Android' folder on my external microsd (128GB Samsung Evo Plus), since the missing apps always create an empty folder there. Now this seems not to be working anymore, therefore I'm asking for a permanent solution in this thread.
Unfortunatelly I'm not able to post in the rom's thread since my account is locked for the development section, but I hope I will get some help here.
Thanks!
Did you dirty flash?
If you did, I highly recommend clean wiping after every update to a custom ROM.

Yes I dirty flashed from 1.1.1 to 2.0, since this was supported by the developer and he provided a fix to have a stable rom.
I also tried a clean install, but for any reason battery life wasn't that good compared to the dirty flash from 1.1.1.
It seems that no one else has such an issue, that would mean no one else did a dirty flash from 1.1.1, otherwise there would be more reports!?
In the meanwhile I made a clean install in each case of 2.0 and 2.1, but the issue still exists. I also wiped all caches after rom install, but there is no change. All apps survive several restarts but all of a sudden some apps disappeared after restart. I will try now with 3.1 and Prometheus kernel, too bad I cannot post to the main thread of the rom, since the developer doesn't see this thread I think

OnePlus 5 Slowy, Lags..

Hi, I'm here to ask for your help because I don't know what to do.
Since the update to xXx 9.6 no limits my Oneplus 5 runs in slow motion, the applications take a lot of time to open it is unusable. Even the startup animation is slow.
I've already reformatted everything, flash with unbrick tool but it's the same.
I have the impression that only when I format in F2FS it works normally but I can't find a compatible Rom. Thank for your help.
Have you tried another aosp rom or just the stock rom some tweaks of the xxx might be causing some issues

That's weird do you have any heavy syncing apps ?? When did you start noticing the problem ? immediately after 9.6xxx update or after installing a certain app ? Have you tried changing the kernels ? Try decrypting and then Omni since it's a stable 8.1 rom

I start notice when i install the new Snapchat.
I'm gonna try thanks
You formatted the data (which wipes everything on your device ) or just wiped the partitions? If you completely formatted and are experiencing the exact same issue on LOS and xXx there are several possibilities -- 1) You have a hardware issue; 2) You are using corrupt or mismatched firmware; 3) A third party app is causing the issue. The last one is very easy to check--just boot your OP5 into Safe Mode and see if the issue persists. If you encountered the issue on stock OOS and did a clean install after formatting your data then it shouldn't be a firmware issue.
It's very important that you completely format all the data on your phone--not wipe the partitions or format them individually because you need a fresh start in case it's just an issue with corrupted data. My guess based on everything you wrote is that you have a hardware problem and need to have your phone serviced.

Messaging not working after flashing custom roms

After successfully flashing both the latest Pixel Experience and Evolution X roms I was unable to use the messaging app, making my phone unusable (especially in regard to any form of SMS verification). I tried using a 3rd party app (Textra) but the problem persisted. I am coming from the global rom with android 9 but flashed the Chinese firmware required prior to the custom roms. When setting up the phone I would also get pop up error messages every 1-2 seconds (android.process.media and android.process.acore stopped working) though I am not 100% certain that these two are linked in the messaging issue. When reverting back to stock, it fixed itself. There appears to be no other documented instances that I could. If anyone has some insight on the matter, it would be very much appreciated if you could share it with me
You have issue with Google apps - did you dirty flashed roms?
Make a clean install with proper gapps and stick to ROM instructions
