[Q] After seeing poor performance, I tried rooting - massive fail! Help. :( - Android Drones General & Development

Context:
I bought a Phantom 3 quadcopter/drone and I needed a tablet to run DJI Pilot App. I saw Tab Pro 8.4 on sale at Best Buy and it has a good outdoor bright screen so that's what I got. But the tablet lags video terribly. It's like watching a stop-motion video. Terrible.
To speed things up, I installed Google Now Launcher and disabled or uninstalled anything and everything I could (and was allowed to disable). I turned on developer options and got rid of any animations, and I turned on "Force GPU rendering."
All this helped quite a bit, but the video on my DJI App still stutters. It is a lot better, but still stutters.
The downfall:
And this is where I get greedy. Everyone keeps saying that rooting is easy and it helps to get rid of bloatware. Sounds like this will be my solution to my problem. If I can trash the Samsung bloatware, my DJI App will likely work well.
kingoapp.com seemed to be highly regarded and it looked simple enough. I started everything up, things started to happen. And then, Kingoapp said that it failed. The app will no longer connect to my device. Nothing is happening anymore.
Current situation:
My Galaxy Tab shows this:

I would greatly appreciate any help and direction on how to proceed. :crying:
Update 1: I tried doing a hard reset (hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-t320-galaxy-tabpro-84-wifi) per instructions here, but nothing happens.
Update 2: I also tried connecting via Samsung Kies 3 to do recovery, but it does not recognize my device. It knows something is plugged in, but doesn't recognize it.
This is how my device looks right now: :crying:
Any help would be sincerely appreciated. I have never rooted any device.

Update:
FIXED
I found Odin and XDA instructions and tips on Odin... everything is almost back to normal.
The only issue is that my HTTPS connections from the phone seem to get blocked now. To fix the NET ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID error, all I had to do is set the proper date and time for the tablet.

Can you post the link to what you found that helped fix your error? Also, were you able to address the HTTPS issue?
Thanks!

I pretty much can't buy/move anything without this happening so it's rendered the game practically unplayable. Hopefully a dev here can tell us what we need to tweak.
I think the above poster is trying to promote a site, its not even fully up and running, and i see nothing as to a fix for anything on the site, unless someone else see's something I dont

The one thing i have done is every-time i buy something, or move something i save my game, for me it usually happens if it try to buy 3 things in a row, so i now buy, save and buy,save...and when it crashes at-least my last save has the prior thing i bought. Its not a great way to play, but its all i can figure out until someone smarter than me comes up with a fix.
I haven't event installed the game yet so sorry I am of no help. Though I still find it funny that they promote a game that does not work.

Major issues: Gamestreaming is officially Broken for me

Few problems that have been occuring so far
1. Cannot add games onto GFE properly. If I add a PC game or even an emulator, it replaces Steam.
This is what it normally looks like with no games added onto GFE

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This is what it looks like if I add a game onto GFE.
2. When I launch steam through streaming , I keep coming across this stupid message. I only have one steam account, and only using one computer. Yet when I launch steam, it comes up with this message every time.
When I close or minimize it and try to launch a game through Steam, It doesn't work. It doesnt launch my game at all. i either have to reboot my tablet or pc to get it working, and even then the dumb message still appears eventually
Notes:- I've uninstalled and reinstalled Geforece Experience multiple times. Rolled back to different versions. Uninstalled+reinstalled drivers. Rolled back to previous GFE and drivers
Restarted my laptop multiple times.
None of those seemed to work at all.
For #2: Even had to uninstall steam, and it works for a good while. But then the SAME ISSUE persists shortly after.
On another note. I did a complete reinstall on my laptop. Decided to add a game as via GFE and...
And it STILL replaced Steam. Now this is dumb. Despite factory installs. Despite a complete reinstall of my laptop. Despite going back to more stable geforce. despite uninstalling and reinstalling steam. despite upgrading to lolipop
I STILL GET DUMB ISSUES LIKE THIS.
http://i.imgur.com/wGGqGo7.jpg?
This is my biggest problem out of all of them. And it doesn't make sense? I used to be able to add games via GFE. Now I can't no longer I just don't get it?
any ideas or suggestions? Posted this on the Geforce forums, and no help there either

So, I just got an update notification on my Boost Aquos Crystal

Is this a stage fright patch? Or a lollipop update? I rather stay on kitkat since lollipop was a mess. I use it as a wifi device and its never been connected to Boost.
Here's the end result
The update hangs quite a bit around 77%-90% (phase 1) then it goes into phase 2 and finishes the update.
strange I can't find info about this patch ..
are you seen something new after update?

me neither. if you can tell by the timestamps on my screenshots i was looking all over the place. it is snappier but that could be a placebo. also, i don't know about call quality or mobile data since i basically use it as an iPod.

I search in sharp and sprint webpages but there still show s4081 as last update.. for now I will not update my phone bcs I don't want to waste my chances to unlock bootloader or root if some one find a way...
Maybe???
I just got it too my phone won't install it cause me battery is to low but, I'm pretty sure its a patch to fix the multimedia message problems . too small of a file to be lollipop .or maybe it's a straight to SD patch idk probably one of the two..lol.
Just updated. Touch feels more responsive but it usually does after an update. Here's to hoping it doesn't crap out again.
Compared to the last build it has a new kernel. So far the only thing I've noticed, is that instagram doesn't auto play video with sound, (finally!) like it should. Before it would blast the speakers whether you tapped on the video to turn off/on sound.
It fixed my MMS problems.

Fresh Nougat install very laggy

Hey guys
I installed Nougat the other day and it was extremely laggy, for example it would take about 5+ seconds to unlock the screen after a successful fingerprint read. This evening I decided to do a completely fresh install to see if it could have been some old files from 6.0 causing it. Unfortunately not. The lag has returned again.
Even pulling down the notification drawer is very laggy. It's almost as if the phone is trying really hard to do something and doesn't have enough resources to do what I'm asking.
So my question is, what should I do? Is this a known problem? I don't really want to downgrade back to Marshmallow.
I did try and search around on these forums and a general Google search but nothing really came up.
Thanks!
This seems to be getting worse. Feels like the CPU is constantly maxed out.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I really don't want to wipe my phone again to downgrade back to Marshmallow but I might have to because it's rendering the phone almost unusable.
For reference I'm on NRD90U
Here is a screenshot of the battery stats:

Hi !
Actually i have the same issue with my 6P on a clean install too and i'm very regarding concerning the smoothness of a phone (and that why I sell my galaxy s6 for the 6P).
Before nougat, i had the jgcaap CM rom, and it was always buttery smooth !
Now with nougat, just pulling down the notification drawer struggle too, and don't feel like before. I can definitely feel some lag in scrolling in instagram or even the app drawer..
I think i'm going to roll back to CM 13, and wait for CM 14
Mine is smooth. No lag at all.
Maybe a rogue app ?
Any way to easily see what app could be causing it other than removing all third party apps?
You could try Cool Tool and have all displayed labels: CPU usage, frequency, Ram and Most Ressource-intensive process checked.
If it's CPU bound then you might find the process. If it's IO bound then you won't find the process.
If rooted, you could also check logcat, dmesg.
Or reboot in safe mode.
Last would be to factory reset to make sure it's not a hardware fault. And do not restore apps immediately..
Try rebooting to safe mode to see if the problem goes away...

I've been on Nougat about a week and it's been very smooth for more with the exception of a few apps that I had to clear data for to get working properly. I restored some of them with Titanium Backup so I'm sure that caused the issue. Nougat itself has been very smooth and responsive though.
So it turns out that Tune In Pro radio app was the culprit. I used to use it as an alarm, but I noticed that as soon as I set the alarm on it, the phone started lagging. Thanks for everyone's help! Much appreciated!

Mms video only coming through as a photo with audio file seperate

Forgive me if its posted somewhere else but I can't find anything about it.
Galaxy S5, rooted, BL unlocked, latest Resurrection remix ROM (android 7.1.2)
Twrp recovery.
Worked fine with current setup, phone screen broke about a month ago, had to use a Motorola RAZR Maxx in the meantime. Fixed my GS5 screen and started using it again. Ican't remember if I'd recieved successful videos via MMS since then but the last couple days they only show up as a picture, like the first frame of the video being Sent, and also the audio is received from the video, but the video is not there. What the heck is wrong? I have looked through my settings and everything seems to be OK, its not like I changed something that I know of. Even sending a video to myself, sends as a video but received as a photo with a separate audio file.
Google doesn't help me. I searched the site and am not pulling up anything similar. Any help?
Noticed as well that trying to play sent video from conversation to myself, first one will crash messaging, second one plays. Not sure what's going on.
There seems to be a bug in the new RR ROM update I can't find anything about, the stock camera app, as well as others from play store, will occasionally freeze and reboot phone immediately after opening camera. Not every time, but often.
I don't know if the 2 issues are related, I dont think so, but I first noticed MMS video issue after installing 'Open camera' from the market to see if that would fix the camera issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Any luck with this? I am experiencing a similar issue on a different phone with a Nougat ROM.
