[Q] Poor screen on time on Android 5.0.1 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I am a proud new owner of an LG G2 F320S variant, the one from corea with an sd card slot. The phone in general is prety solid and i like it. First thing i did is to upgrade it with the PC suite to Android 5 then 5.0.1.
The phone is super fast an smooth, and the stand by battery time with Wifi ON and loads of apps in the back ground is very respectable. But my major issue here is the screen on time, its absolutely horrible! I get almost 1% for every minute of usage. I also notice that the screen heats up after a couple minutes.
After my research i've seen that this is a very common problem.
Is there any fix that could help ? Including a kernel. I am on stock 5.0.1
Here are my battery stats after a 100% charge

My screen on time is about 2 hours
Any ideas ? ( Sorry my screenshots are in French)
Thank you in advance

I have a vs980, the stock LG rom had battery issues, some say it was google play store related.
If you have root, try greenify. It didn't work for me, so I flashed cloudy G3.
There are always custom roms
I have Dorimanx Kernel on g2, i get decent battery backup.. try this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/kernel-llama-sweet-kernel-t3123623/page26
may be this would help. But be sure to have a backup.
I hope you know how to recover from soft brick & boot loops.
Cheers.

try battery calibration
This is common problem on the galaxy tabs. Dont worry just yet. I had the same problem on the stock rom but as soon as I flashed task650's rom the problem dissapeared. Try just using the tab a couple of charge cycles(charge all the way, then let die completly). There also some apps on the market that will reset battery stats but I think you might have to root to do that. If you havent already, I would try to root/install custom recovery, because this gives you many more ways to troubleshoot your problem.

[Q] LG L7 (LG-P705g) restart loop

Okay, this is my first post so I'll try to give as much info as I can about the issue and how I got to this point.
In the past I've installed custom ROMs, But I am having a LOT of problems with this L7. As of right now, it will turn on for about 30 seconds to 3 minutes and restarts. I was trying to install a custom ROM on (CM 10). So, I came one here looking for info on it. found out that the main L7 people use here is the P700 and there isn't much on the P705g.
First I rooted using this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906133
Then I downloaded ROM Manager from the play store and got it to install CWM. It wouldn't load up for me at all, and it would just constantly flash the back and menu touch lights when holding vol down and power. At this point I downloaded CM10 for this phone (from what I understand the P700 is basically the same as mine) but I couldn't get CWM to flash up. Found out about the bootloader being locked..
followed this to unlock the bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38231332&postcount=2230
Before I go on, yes, I did hook it up to the computer using debugging mode and installed the drivers. However I cannot get the V10K firmware that everyone seems to like for KDZ (and truthfully I don't fully understand it), my version is V10E
So I used to reboot2recovery.bat in the 2nd link like it said. Excellent! CWM came up! Wouldn't install CM10, said it was "Bad". So I reset it and restarted the phone, and now it wont stay on.
Looked around one last time before posting, and I found this link that had a download for V10K, but I need my phone to stay on to do this! ahaha
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26341025&postcount=1
Anyone got any ideas? thanks! sorry for the length, I just wanted to cover the bases.
EDIT: Self resolved. The phone is stable once again after I installed V10K Following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31828740&postcount=1191
hopefully this helps anyone else with this issue if they come across it. Now, to try to get CM10 on it.
EDIT 2: CM10 installed. Buggy, but that's what you get with an unstable version works great otherwise! Noticed when I downgraded to V10K my phones model changed from lg-p705g to lg-p700 as well, which made the whole thing much easier! Picture came out red like this because the screenshot app doesn't like the phone or something. Thank you to everyone who made this possible through your tutorials

Battery drain problem

Hi guys, as I wrote in the title I have a really awful battery life with my Nexus 4 and I don't think it is related to the rom/kernel I'm using because lots of people with the same configuration have no problem. I'm currently using PA 3.99 RC2 with Semaphore kernel, but I've tried also franco and I have the same result. I started from stock rom and then i did a full wipe before installing PA, but I keep having problems. This is my situation:

I'm unable to post a log because the apps don't show it to me (I can't understand why) but it seems like the problem is related to the app I use, anyway these are very popular apps and I find absurd that to have a decent battery life I have to uninstall them because in this case I would only use the phone to call and send texts, many people are using these apps and they have a great battery life so I can't understand.
which recovery are u using? u need maybe to update it or try another recovery. I had problems with some roms, after switching to another recovery everything was fine.
maybe u give it a try:good:

I'm using TWRP, it seems strange but i'll try with CWM!
Try detecting what's using resources and keeping the device woken up with WakeLockDetector.
@mods: can't we just sticky the Battery Impressions Thread adding a 'post your battery issues here' to it's title? We're getting overloaded with battery drain threads, and the issues are common enough to have them a sticky. Thx.

I used it, in fact I posted a screen with the result and it seems that google+, facebook messenger and whatsapp are causing the issue but this apps are used by many people and they don't have problems, it just doesn't make any sense to uninstall these because I mostly use the phone for these apps :s

Wrong Kernel Showing on Pardus HDC 7.7

Hello i correctly flashed Pardus HD Rom Classic 7.7 i followed all the instructions well. But i seem to find a problem as i know it has a dorimanx kernel but its not showing there. Here's mine:

They're just showing the extended kernel info. If you have the st tweaks app, then your on dorimanx.

These roms also have location set to high accuracy by default. That's a huge drainer. Roms also need a bit of time to settle after you flash them before they start to perform more efficiently and finally dorimanx is not the most economic kernel on its default settings imho. Try bruce or simple kernel if your not into tweaking it.

It seems at LG they take really their time to do things
Yesterday my tab has got an update to 5.0.2 over the LG PC Suite. It runs fine I like it!
Lollipop
I received the OTA two days ago, i'm from Brazil
What about battery drain? After update, I left the tablet in airplane mode this morning with 70% battery, and found it in the afternoon with 30% ?
Hoping in better performance in the future...

No issues here, did u do a factory reset?
No I didn't, at this point i guess I should.
Here's a screenshot for battery usage. 6% drop in 3 hours is in airplane mode.

U should definitely factory reset. Use helium to backup ur mandatory app data (no root needed)
I took @C4SCA's advice about factory resetting and I'm getting better battery than I did on kitkat with m v700. It helps a ton as it rids the system of any lingering kitkat files. I'm loving the lollipop rom much more than I did kitkat.
All right now, after factory reset my gpad works fine
Factory Reset before or after the update? How about flashing a factory image, wouldn't that be the best solution?
Oh, BTW: Is LG browser still there on Lollipop? I really won't miss that.
I did it after the update, it basically wipes data: flashing a factory image would have been my B plan, just in case factory reset would never fix my problem.
And yes, unluckly lg browser still here...

I confirm that good behaviour, after quite an hour of screen working I'm still with 100% battery, just hope it's not kidding me... ? I just don't like notification panel so tight, wider was better in many ways.
