[Q] Unable to register to Network (SM-G530FZ) - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have rooted my device SM-G530FZ. SE for Android status shows permissive and no code is appearing whereas when I have checked the other rooted device of the same model it shows "Enforcing SEPF_SM-G530FZ_4.4.4_0033 Fri Jan 23 17:06:33 2015. I don't understand why my device shows permissive without any other details. Can someone help me out to enable SE for Android on my device. Thanks

I have rooted my device, SM-G530FZ. Now I am unable to register to the Network provider and also the device shows "SE for Android has been turnedoff." Can anyone help me out to resolve this issue? Thanks

Hello, this is herna from XDA Assist.
Normally when you root your device this kind of problems are not normal. I don´t know the process you used, but seems that you changed the kernel, and this is one of the reasons of why it´s not working correctly.
My suggestion is to do a factory reset on your phone or flash an official firmware trough any Samsung installer, if there is, or manually.
If you want to get any better answer to problems like this one you should do in the section below, which is the Galaxy Grand Prime official help thread:

That would be because developers buy the real official phones and not these fake ones. You will not find custom ROM's for fakes on XDA for this reason.

There won't be a custom rom for a chinese copy, they don't have sources available or anything to work with.
Maybe the phone is defective? If it's not rooted then it's quite difficult to diagnose the source of the reboot (last_kmsg would help).
What country did you get these in?
So aliens have landed on xda.

[Q] SM-G900S (klteskt)

Model # SM-G900
Android version 4.4.2
baseband version G900SKSU1ANCD
kernel version 3.4.5 [email protected] #1
build # KOT49H.G900SKSU1AND3
I want to start by saying THANKS to all the xda community.
I never posted a thread because usually I can take care of everything after reading all the good posts that I need.
Do not consider myself a "newbie" but I have a problem that I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help.
I purchased an international version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 that CPU-Z shows the Model to be SM-G900S (klteskt) and for the life of me I can not get it to communicate with ODIN or KIES. PS: I can access the storage.
I tried every samsung driver, every trick for all windows versions every thread for MT64xx loaders and still no comm with kies or ODIN.
Samsung support mentioned they can not help because support is only for US devices. The phone is currently on the ATT network.
Any Help is greatly appreciated- Many Thanks

Did you find the answer?
Odin should work fine if you have a proper USB driver for your phone.
You said that you had tried every driver. That seems unlikely. Did you try searching the Korean site for a driver? Or downloading the latest version of Kies and using it to install a driver. Also look for the 900S support thread on this forum for more targeted information.
As a last resort contact Samsung Korea, in Korean and request the driver. I'd bet though that you could find it on the Korean site yourself if you try.
.
Look here http://androidxda.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s5-sm-g900s, step 1 is for the usb driver.
Hi there , I have the same problem , but I can go in dowload mode ! I try it in every way ! Keep pop up a korean thing !

What do you mean by MT64xx? Is it a MediaTek? If so, you may have a fake device?
Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Refurbishment Check' and see what is the result?

Password being asked after installing ROM on Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hey everyone
I am facing a problem on my sister's Samsung Galaxy Note 3. She was facing a problem with the phone and what I did was installed a new rom on the phone. Earlier on it was Android 4.3 or 4.4.2 I think but I installed Android 5.0. I was told that the data has to remain on the device. Also the Developer option is not available. So after installing the rom when I switched on the phone, it is asking for a password whereas earlier on it used to ask for a Pin. I tried Google account password, I tried Samsung account password, I tried random passwords also like Samsung123 or [email protected] and such but nothing worked.
I tried different ROMs from different countries but to no avail. I tried installing 4.4.2 again but even that didnt help.
Any way anyone can help me with this? I am not permitted to format the device as she wants the data on the phone but then if nothing works it is the last resort and I have to do it soon as she lives in Germany and is going back in about 10 to 12 days so do also tell me if I need to take this to Samsung Service center or not.
Thanks in advance for helping.
Hi !
A good start to search is this forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/help
Keep in mind to provide some more information in your thread like , the exact model version , ( NEO , t-mobile ...etc ) , the place where the password kicks in , the exact rom you tried to install
Now I will move your thread to the dedicated forum , let`s wait for more users with a similar device to reply , thank you !
Good luck !

Same thing happened to me a few days ago. To solve the problem I flashed stock firmware, applied root using ODIN, and patch IMEI and certificates using Z3X Box. According to the guy who helped me with the Z3X, there's no way you can make the phone work again without patching IMEI and cert. When fixed, you won't be able to update nor factory reset the phone. If you do so, you'll have the same problem again. It's a matter of KNOX security on the S7 Edge.

Hi Zeth...!
Can you explain why this happens and how to do the job in Z3X ?
I think I need at least version 24.8 (suppport for S7)... can you point where I can get it with no-card loader ? (I was unable to get it).
Thanks...!
Javier.
Well, as far as I know this issue happens because of the new security features on the phone. It has to do with the certificate written on the phone. Once you change it, it triggers an "alert" that is impossible to turn off, unless you patch it again. Unfortunately, according to some flashing sites, it can't be done over Nougat, hence your phone will remain on Marshmallow until a new method is found. I didn't do the flashing with Z3X. I payed a guy to make the process. I've been looking for a card-less Z3X but I only found an older version which doesn't support S7.

Unfortunately there is no solution to this issue yet but if you stay on 6.0.1 you can just use a cert patch and it works 100%, for android 7.0 we must just wait for an update from z3x

Samsung Pay (India) not working

So i tried setting up Samsung pay, went through the process of verification through fingerprint and the next screen asks to input a Samsung pin and the keyboard doesn't work and it sits there. Either i have to go back or just stop the application, i cannot do anything else. Also, my phone is not rooted and Knox also works perfectly.
G935FD Indian variant with Baseband version-G935FXXU1DQB1 and build number ending with- DQB0. Can anyone suggest something?
Issue was resolved from Samsung's side. Please delete the thread, Thank you

It was an issue with the Samsung members app. When a new update to the members app came, it just started working again.
