NC4 PIT file - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Will anyone please give me a working link for an ORIGINAL PIT file please? Or maybe upload yours right here? Please!!! Please don't keep moving along if you have this PIT file. I jerked my phone, and I need to re-partition.

I've got the pit file on my computer at home and will upload it to a Dropbox link for you when I get home in a couple of hours unless someone gets it to you quicker.

@Sleepycloud
Good news. I discovered that XDA Recognized Contributor/Developer hsbadr has a copy of the pit file in his Downloads section on his Jasmine ROM thread. You can grab the pit file by clicking on this link: Verizon NOTE 3 pit file
Make sure to hit the thanks button for hsbadr for providing a copy for us.

Thank you so much! My phone is jacked up from not knowing who to use safe-strap properly. I hate verizon bootloaders. I can't believe as old as this device is that nobody has cracked that open yet. Thank you again!

[Q] anyone mind extracting the rfs files from JMA firmware?

I dont have access to a linux box and I think in order to flash the latest JMA firmware from samfirmware i need to extract the rfs files in order to load them up via odin...if im completely off please disregard or point me to the correct path..
if any helpful souls out there that wouldnt mind extracting the files and uploading them here?
thanks
Im just a noob trying to flash the latest JMA firmware on my JM6 tab
thanks again..
EDIT - Thank you all for explaining it:
For anyone else presented with the same issue; use the zipped JMA file in odin in the PDA box and the pit file located at the bottom of the samfirm page when flashing the latest JMA firmware.

Extract them yourself by opening the file with 7Zip or WinZip. They're just archives.
Also - Should be in the General section.

thanks for the tips. I just installed both winzip and 7zip and could not extract the factory.rfs file with either.....
im guessing I have to extract the factory.rfs file and zip as a tar file for odin right?

The file you download is a zip file. Unzip it. There should be a tar file in there, tar is an archive format (similar to the way zip is, only it's uncompressed), so use 7zip or other unarchiving software to untar the file. There will be all of the JMA files including the RFS images contained in the tar file.

I see, so i downloaded a ziped file from samfirmware with the JMA firmware, unziped it down and got the pit file but there were no tar files in there for me to use in odin under the PDA box.
when flashing JMA what file do i put in PDA box? i pressume thats the only file i will use besides the pit file given that i dont want to replace the modem (phone) file...
I'm sorry if this is not making any sense

Use the JMA file here on XDA. Extra JMA.tar. Select that file ALONE as PDA. No repartition, PIT, Phone or CSC. It'll update PDA, Phone and CSC automatically.
If it doesn't reboot on its own after flash is complete, reboot into recovery.
You should be upgrading to JMA from JM6.
If you still need to extract/unpackage RFS->
Reffer to my guide here
Cheers

Pit file

During flashing this happened. Please someone help me to fix pit file of Samsung galaxy S4 I9505.
PIT file can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2272237
i tried to post the acutal link from within this forum however due to being a new member restrictions wouldn't allow me. but scroll towards the bottom and you'll see a link to the pit file on another forum.

Does anyone have the PIT file for a Sprint s5 sport G860p?

I need the PIT file and can't find one anywhere. Does anyone have one or know where I can find one for the G860p?
Is your phone operating as normal?
Are you rooted?
If the answers to both the above are yes, you can extract the pit from your own device.....
Edit......your pit *may* be included somewhere in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737448
It also explains the method used to extract the pit from your device...
It would probably be a better place to ask for your pit file too......

Help.. again lol
Not sure what's going on.. but odin sits at.. file analysis.. Not sure why.. i think it's the user data file.. after I load all 5 blocks in odin it stays on file analysis.. also unzipping userdata.. gives me a tar.rar file.. so I guess you remove the (rar) at the end.. so it's just tar?

Do not remove .tar, just unzip once more to md5. Analyzing files takes up to 5 min sometimes
On Edge of Galaxy
After the first unzip of user data I get tar.rar
If I try to unzip the tar.rar I get an error
No archives found
If I double click the tar.rar it says it's archive is unknown or damaged. .... I downloaded it many times and still the same

As stated above you can find it in the CSC part of the firmware.
