I've tested it - it works. Multilanguage (look at screenshot - not all languages), GAPPS, no chinese bloatware. NO ROOT.
SD card must be removed during flashing!
Flashing procedure:
1. Download:
- Miflash: Miflash_140509.zip
- firmware version S118: Z90a40_USR_S118_1505272046_Q2020131.4_ROW_qpst.7z
- update to version S208: Z90a40_USR_S208_1507141216_Q2020131.4_ROW_OTAFull.zip

2. Disable driver signature enforcement:
Windows 8: http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-disable-driver-signature-verification-on-64-bit-windows-8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
Windows 7: http://www.sabrent.com/support/knowledgebase.php?article=14
3. Install Miflash program.
4. Flash new ROM:
- unzip downloaded file with the firmware
- turn off the phone
- hit VOL + and plug USB cable (phone will vibrate once)
- in Device Manager (Control Panel) new COM port should appear: Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
- run Miflash, you should see appropriate COM port
- browse folder with downloaded firmware
- click 'flash' and wait (about 180s)
- disconnect USB cable, hit POWER key for about 10s (phone will vibrate)
- phone will restart and load new system. It takes some time - and if it hangs, please hit POWER again for 10s, it will reboot again and it should proceed
5. Update to version S208:
- download file Z90a40_USR_S208_1507141216_Q2020131.4_ROW_OTAFull.zip, rename it to 'update.zip'
- copy to phone memory or SD card
- reboot to recovery (turn off the phone, hit vol +- and hit power)
- install update package (it will take some time), reboot (first start will take few minutes)
6. (Optional) Reflash or return to chinese version:
- in ROW version it is impossible to enter download mode with VOL+ and plug USB cable - you can do this only with ADB command
- turn on the phone, let the system start
- plug USB cable, make sure ADB Debugging is ON
- execute ADB command: 'adb reboot edl'
- phone will restart in download mode
- now you can run Miflash

But you can flash this ROM anyway.

"the system cannot find the file specified.(0x80070002. Open serial port "\\.\COM10")"

That must be the issue. MIflash tool only works with 32 bit windows.

GT540 doesn't boot

Helo,
I've got a big proplem, my GT540 doesn't boot anymore it always freezes when the LG sign appears. I have this proplem since I'd tried to change the statusbar font into whiteby changing the services.jar. Hardreset and KDZ Updater aren't working. And I also tried to change the new services.jar to the old with adb but I don't get root permissions.
My phone runs with 2.1 Eclair.
Thanks for your help,
Lucas
Wait, arent the status bar white by defoult ?
No i don't mean the bar I mean the clock, but do you have any ideas to solve my proplem?
Do The Hard Reset With Press The
Vol Up + Search Key (on the right side of the phome) + home button
When I Trie to do the hardreset it Happens nothing! Is there no other possibillity to reset?
You could try fresh install with KDZ updater, that worked for me when I broked the radio and my network didn't worked. If you have troubles geting in to download mode you could try removing the battery and press volume up + camera + power button Just be carefull! Good luck
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
I tried this too, but it crashed always after I choose the kdz file
Here is the log file of KDZ Updater, rename it to Fail.log

OK, you could try this :
If you have problems with KDZ_FW_UPD - Download and install from Microsoft two files "MSXML 4.0 SP3 Parser" and "VisualC Redist"
1 LG_Android_Driver Ver 1.0 must be installed
2 In the Device Manager disable LGE Android USB Modem
3 Run Windows Enabler (on Windows 7 as administrator) and left click on the icon in System tray ( it should be ON )
4 Run "KDZ_FW_UPD.exe" (on Windows 7 as administrator)
5 In the "Type" select "3GQCT", then choose the firmware file
6 Expand the window of the KZD flasher ( more options will emerge )
7 In the "PhoneMode" section choose "CS_EMERGENCY"
DIAG - standard flashing mode of ON state
EMERGENCY - in extreme cases!
CS_EMERGENCY - the same thing, CS - crash systems
8 Click "Start update" will process the firmware
You could also disable your anti virus and use only the back USB ports of your PC. Good luck !
Oh THANKS! I love you guy, I thought I killed my brand new mobile!

Very GOOD now it did it like this.
Start your phone in recovery. Volume down+camera+power, see if the pc sees the device. Start the update tool max it and select emergency and flash again.
This fixed...
Now I need to add spanish to it. Do you know how??

Solution: 50% when unlocking bootloader

EDIT: SOLUTION (Not a fix)
For those who are stuck at "50% saying current account is different from the a/c info of device"
It is due to the database miss-match in their server ,the possible sollution are :
Remember: for MediaTek devices you will have to first flash a China Dev ROM onlu then you can get the unlock successful.
But this is not a recommendation for Qualcomm Devices.
1. Go to i.mi.com and look weather your device shows up in the find device (this is required only to be sure as to your device is connected to their server and they have updated the info on your Device too).
2. Reset your Phone sign in and turn on find device. turn on usb debug and oem unlock connect to pc allow whatever is asked on your phone also check always trust, then open adb folder and open cmd there and type adb devices your phone will ask for authorisation allow it and check always trust.
3. Mail your concern with user ID and also the snapshot of the error as they will ask for it,to your regional service (I am an indian so i had to mail it at [email protected])(just google contact xiaomi) wait for their reply.
You can PM these persons on MIUI forum regarding the 50% stuck issue.
{ EDIT 2:
You may contact these person in MIUI forum:
1) vincent_khoo
2) PatrickXi
( @bravonova gave me these names you may try I haven't cross checked as mailing will most probably solve) }
The last method should Work for everyone as it's a db miss-match which should be fixed after this.
PS: This a solution and not a fix so it will take time.
PPS: Don't blame me for all the trouble Blame Xiaomi.

Ok, so I have been trying to move to miui 8 global beta version now for a long time and haven't succeeded, the updater app says could not verify update package.
I have a pretty good net connection so that's not an issue.
Also If I try download latest rom it says "Can't download update, wait a minute or two" and this it has been saying for about a week now (ironic).
So, I requested for unlocking the bootloader got the confirmation messages after 3 days tried to unlock now stuck at 50% saying "account is different from the account in the phone info"
I don't want to use the fast boot edl method of flashing rom as my lappy keeps getting sudden shutdown, so I don't want it to shutdown in between and get hard bricked.
I have tried MiPc suit but since it cannot do a backup(again app bug) so cannot flash through it.
I have looked in to the mi cloud and my phone does gets located.(possible solution given for unlock bootloader but even that didn't work).
Can anyone please help me on this or will I have to be on this ****ty unrooted Rom forever.
Currently on miui 7.5.3.0 global stable rom.
Any suggestions will be appreciated ty

Now boot into recovery mode :- turn off device and hold volume up + power button.w8 for the drivers to get installed.
I was stuck at the same 50% error..one of d xda member told me to boot into recovery mode and let the drivers get installed and taddaa...bootloader unlocked
Make sure u r logged in to the same account in ur phone u r using to unlock the bootloader
I fixed this by updating to latest version in miui app in fastboot mode.
Same problem for me. I tried using the MIUI PC Suite, it tells me my phone isnt up to date even though it is. Recovery mode drivers fail. Requested unlock over 2 weeks ago and got the SMS 9 day ago... still stuck at 50% error. Its driving me nuts.

connect your device to your pc and let the drivers get installed...and if u are using a desktop pc do not use the usb port which is at the front of the cpu..use the one which are at the back of the cpu...the image i am attaching shows which drivers get installed.
after drivers get installed remove usb cable and again boot into fastboot mode (power + volume down ) and try again to unlock bootloader

For Kenzo / SD / Snapdragon only.
1. Install Mi PC Suite, plug your phone in and install the app on the phone when it prompts (then close mi pc suite) - this provides all the drivers needed for the next step
http://en.miui.com/thread-92720-1-1.html < Mi PC Suite
2. reboot the phone to recovery mode ( Vol UP + Power ), let drivers install on pc - wait, then reboot again to fastboot mode (VOL Down + Power) let drivers install on pc - wait - it might take a few minutes to install the drivers don't unplug the phone during this time.
3. download and install the unlock tool - log into your account, after it checks you have permission press unlock
http://en.miui.com/unlock/ < unlock tool

(if it still fails proceed to next step)
4. use xiao mi flash beta and install the latest kenzo global fast boot image (I have heard some people needed to use the Chinese dev firmware- the global stable worked for me though), use the clean all option selected at the bottom of mi flash. (this will erase ALL data on the phone)- backup before doing this.

2. Set the USB to 'File Transfer Mode.'
3. Open LGUP and select the LG G Pad X 8.0

5. Wait about 15 minutes and it will finish. The process will hang for a bit at 99% or 100%, this is normal
6. Update SuperSU binary if necessary. (Optional)
You can also revert to stock or unroot when desired
1. Use LGUP and flash the stock .dz
Special thanks to @tungkick for making the rooted .dz file. @mingkee, copy these newer instructions into your post, if desired, by quoting it and removing the quote tags.
It took me only 3 to 4 minutes for the whole root process, also with battery lower than 50%.
I'm seeing Model Unknown or No Handset Found even after putting the DLL in that location. Please tell me if I'm missing something.

I installed v4.0.4 from the main thread. I'll try this on another computer. I have bootloader unlocked and USB Debugging enabled.
Check in the device manager on your computer and you should see lg device under COM ports if drivers are installed correctly.

Change to file transfer is required for and command to work. Maybe this can be added to the instructions in the OP too.

Boot loop
Could use some help - followed the OP instructs, the DZ seemed to update successfully with LGUP. Hit 100%, then tablet rebooted, and now it is flashing every two seconds saying
Boot Verification Fail!!!
- cause : MISMATCH_SIG_LEN
Cannot even power off, holding down the power button indefinitely does nothing.

Under this situation, you have to pry open the back cover. Open from USB OTG port. The battery connector is on the right side (not on the cam side).
Do not turn the tablet on. Press and hold volume up button and connect to host computer and run LGUP, and install this kdz instead.

Thanks! So what is different about that kdz, and what do I have going on? Downloading now.
In desperation I was button pushing and with a lot of praying I found that with the USB connected, Vol Up with the reader mode button broke the looping and got me to a download mode! I tried the original kdz again, with the same result. I tried the LG Mobile Support Tool, and attempted to do an "Update Recovery" under Options, but it did a quick scan and then seemed like it was downloading an entire load so I canceled it.
At the moment, both LGUP and the Mobile Support Tool recognize my existing load version as 10b, while when running LGUP the download mode screen on the tablet is saying I am upgrading from 10c to 10c.

HUAWEI P9 lite (VNS-L21)-ROOT PROBLEMS

Hi!
First of all, I'm sorry for my English...
I have unlocked and rooted my device (Huawei P9 lite).
I have install the TWRP bootloader and I tried to install a new costum ROM, but my device was turned off and never opened again. (Maybe: Low battery).
I try to charge my device but it didn't recognize the charger. So, I removed the battery from device (with the help of a technician) and charging it.
After all, I tried again to root and install TWRP but the device doesn't open or recognized of my PC...the only thing to do is to be recognized by the PC in fastboot mode but not allowing me to do something in the command window.
What am I doing?
First of all....
What exactly did you try to flash? Which "custom ROM" are you talking about?

I download the costum ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/dev-cyanogenmod-13-huawei-p9-lite-t3465612
Use <[DEV] VNS-L21-L22-L31 [EUROPE] Toolkit [0.0.0.8] Bootloader/Recovery/Root/Dual-Sim> and try again to da all from begining...
- check bootloader - lock/unlock
- flash stock recovery/twrp
- root it if is necessary
- copy update.app to SDcard into dload folder and try to reflash device.
I tired... but it didn't recognized my device!

Okay so that is interesting.
Have you followed the exact instruction on the Website of Meticulus?
The CM Rom is HIGHLY alpha and cannot be flashed without a strict preparation.
Are you able to boot your phone into fastboot mode?

Hi,
I just received my Mi A2 6Gb 128GB device (EU-Device). Followed your guide (Windows) and on the command "fastboot oem unlock" I get the response "FAILED (command write failed (no such file or directory)) Finished. Total time : 0.002s". On the devices screen just comes the message "Press any key to shutdown".
The device runs on August Security Patch.
Do you have any idea what could be the problem? Do I have to unlock with the official Xiaomi tool?

Yes, I enabled OEM Unlock and USB debugging. Fastboot devices just shows the device number (just like with my Nexus 5). ADB devices first showed "unauthenticated" but I fixed that.
Never had an error like this unlocking/flashing my Nexus 5

Try the "fastboot -w" command while booted into fastboot. It will wipe all data but you'll get back into the OS.
