WiFi unable to turn on - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So this morning my WiFi was working just as usual. But after that I went out so I turned it off and when I return home, my WiFi isnt working anymore. Its not that it wont work completely, but it keeps connect and disconnect. I just can't use it. After an hour I'm going out again so I turned off the WiFi. I was so annoyed by what happened so I decided to play with the WiFi toggle. Guess what, it wont turn on. When I tapped on the toggle it slides to the right remained greyed out, and stucks there. It will not turn on. I rebooted it many times, it worked for about a second then it stops working again. I tried to find out if it was software problem or what, I rebooted several times, disabled root, reflashed ROM, cleared cache, but it still wont work. I even factory reset it by clearing data and caches and reflashed my ROM but it still wont turn on.
Then just now I did a few Google and found out it may be hardware problem and many solved the issue by whacking it at the back. I tried it it worked for a second and the problem comes back again. Then I suddenly remembered that I heard some shaky sound from the upper part of the phone when I shake it. I noticed the sound long time ago but I didnt bother. And I did some sports this morning with my phone in my pocket so I think its the wifi antenna contacts.
Okay assuming it wasn't a hardware problem, is there anything I can try to be more sure that it's a software fault? I did factory reset from recovery. And is that shaky sound a hardware bug or it's normal?
Update: I can't turn on Bluetooth too so it's definitely a hardware problem since they share the same antenna. More over I saw this line in logcat thus making me more sure it's the antenna

Yes it's hardware.

MAJOR problem - phone restarting every 10 seconds!

Hi guys,
this is my first time using these forums and I wouldn't have done that if the problem was easily solvable. However, this is a major problem for me and I couldn't find a thread nor a solution to it, so I'll post it here.
I have the i9305 4G version of the S3. I have had it for about a month now, and it worked fine, up until now. The phone suddenly starts to restart itself (not reboot!) for about 10 seconds, then goes back to the dashboard.
The problem seems to be the WiFi. Right after I get the "Connected to ... network" message on the bottom of the screen, the phone vibrates immensely once, then everything freezes for a few seconds, then another 2-3 vibrations, before the Samsung logo comes up with the LED light on. After a few seconds again I'm back in the dashboard until I get the "Connected to ..." message, and so on the process repeats itself.
Turning off WiFi seems to solve the issue, but once I turn it on again the problem reoccurs.
Something else I've noticed is that if I have WiFi turned off and cellular data network (for instance 4G) turned on, the "4G", "H+" etc. logo does not appear, even though I'm connected to cellular data! Don't know if it can be related to my main problem.
I have tried everything I'm aware of. Unplugging the battery, factory reset and back up, hard reset, wipe cache pertition. After the factory reset I can use WiFi again, but only for a few hours until the problem reoccured. I THINK once my battery is fully charged the problem occurs.
Note: I haven't even touched stock ROM, kernel etc. Nothing is flashed. Phone is in the same condition as when it came out of the box. Android version: JB 4.1.1
I would be forever grateful if you could help me out here, I can't have a phone restarting itself and vibrating like crazy every 10-15 seconds.
(Sorry in advance if this was the wrong place for this thread.)

UPDATE:
Seems like my issue isn't just related to Wifi. Cellular data network was actually related to my issue, as I first feared. If Wifi is turned off and cellular data turned on, the same thing happens. Seems like the issue occurs every time I try to use the internet either way.
Anyhow, if I let the phone reboot itself without turning on or off anything at all, it will reboot about 5 times until either Wifi or cellular doesn't work anymore even though the status bar tells me that it is turned on!
This seems to be a serious connectivity issue and for the first time I'm suspecting interference with the phone's wireless network hardware. If none of you are able to provider an answer, I guess I have no choice but to hand it in to get it repaired or replaced.
Still noone who has a solution to my problem?

My solution to your problem would be to just bring it to whoever you bought it from and demand a replacement. That isn't normal behaviour.
you can boot into recovery and do a factory reset and cache wipe
if wiping does not solve your problem, just return your phone.
I don't know if this is related, but, I had this issue once (the cause is not wifi though), and samsung fixed (or replaced) my phone.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I'd wipe the phone and return it. This is not normal behaviour and should fall under warranty... Wiping might fix but this may happen again if there is an inherent problem with your handset....

4.4.2 Starting to become a bit buggy?

I've had the 4.4.2 OTA about 2-3 weeks now, and for the most part its worked fine but as things go on I am noticing it starting to go a bit buggy. I have had issues with my Wifi, like this morning turned the phone on and it would not connect to my wifi, sure it saw it and it had full strenght but it would not connect to it, I went in manually and selected it nope nothing, I forgot network and connected again, nope nothing, restarted the phone nope, after 5 restarts it connected. I've also had issues with wifi connecting when coming out of airplane mode, everything else turns on but I have to mess around with wifi to get it going again.
Also had issues with apps crashing randomly, also had periods of sluggishness for no apparent reasons.
Anyone any ideas?
About the Wifi, try the Wi-Fi fix in this forum, maybe that'll help. For me stock is going absolutely fine. I was on OmniROM, but the updates start becoming a little buggy for me, so I switched back to Stock.

[Q] Wifi isn't turning on/ not working properly

So i remember that i just rebooted my device and next thing i know is, wifi is stuck with 'WiFi is turning on'
Things i have tried to fix it : factory reset, hard reset and when none worked, paid a visit to lg service centre where it started working automatically. Came home, worked just fine but for 2 days.
Now it's been a week. I even flashed stock rom thinking it might be 4.4 rom issue. And nnope. Sane issue. So i guess that means is isnt software issue.
BUT here's what happens. Same modem, mother's galaxy mega2 connects, her laptop connects. I today tried connecting my phone to her phone's hotspot and it connected in first try. Confusion is, i don't know if it's modem that's faulty or phone ( idk if software or hardware )
Also, i noticed when i try to turn on wifi now, it shows no connection available and the wifi icon in drop down menu keeps blinking without being blue. I think it should just turn blue even if there if no wifi to be detected. Sometimes it stops blinking and doesnt turn blue still
It's so confusing
Any help will be much appreciated !
hi, it has almost been two years, did you fix the problem meantime?

[Q] Galaxy Note 3 Wifi stuck on "activating"

Hi guys,
I own a Galaxy Note 3 and in these last months the Wifi connection has been acting strangely, at first the Wifi would deactivate itself and I needed to reactivate it everytime, then it started to not activate normally, it would remain stuck on "Activating" in the settings options. At this moment I can't even turn the WiFi on anymore in any way.
Here a list of the things I already tried:
Reboot the phone
Take out the battery for a couple of minutes and rebooting
Turning off "WiFi Power Save Mode" via the dialer *#0011#
And at last factory reset. (When I reset it the first time the wifi seemed to work again but after some updates and a reboot the wifi won't turn on anymore)
P.S: No carriers and never rooted
A friend of mine had this issue with GS2. He went for a replacement finally.
I see the same on my N9002. I consider this a hardware issue. It started with occasional WiFi shut down. I was able to restore WiFi after opening the device playing around with the connectors or removing the screws. The outages became more frequent. Now WiFi and Bluetooth are both dead.
I did everything software to fix it. Several resets, several different ROMs, updates - with no effect.
I am on the way to a repair store now to see what they come up with.

Bluetooth broken since last software update

After this last weekend, I've noticed that Bluetooth no longer works. Specifically, it is off, and when I tap to turn it on from any menu, it grays out and never turns on. I've tried rebooting several times, turning airplane mode on and off, clearing the cache and data from the Bluetooth app and force stopping it, and even booting into safe mode where it still does the same thing. As of last week Bluetooth was working fine and I used it daily for audio streaming and syncing with my smartwatch.
This issue coincides with a software update a few days ago (G950U1UEU1AQH3). I wonder if it has anything to do with that.
I want to avoid a factory reset if at all possible.
my bluetooth works fine after upgrading to AQH3, probably a bad update, im afraid outside of a factory reset not sure how else you can fix it.
Got a fix - I went to "Reset" in Settings and reset all network information. It reset wifi as well, but right after I did that Bluetooth started working. No idea what happened, but at least I avoided a factory reset...
