Where to buy best usb cover replacement? - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I got an s5 used and the usb cover was damaged and I'm needing a replacement. It's important to me that the phone maintain its water resistance. I have seen several items from many sellers on ebay. I would like some opinions though I want a quality seal and know that I'm getting a good replacement.
Any one know a seller on ebay or a site that sells them that they know is quality product?

[Q] Digitizer that isn't USED?

I bought a digitizer for my HD2 from eBay that was listed as "New". I specifically bought it because every other digitizer listed for $20-something is "Used". Well, I get it only to see that it is USED, has used foam tape on it and the front has several light scratches with one particularly deep one right in the middle. Seller assures me it's brand new (yeah, right), and that damage must have been caused in shipping. Uh, there was no damage to the protective plastic at all and how is a glass screen going to get scratched by a plastic baggie and bubble-wrap?
I now don't trust eBay sellers that claim their digitizers are new that they are really new. Does anyone have experience with a seller who sells T-Mobile variant digitizers that are definitely brand new and no scratches? Cheap price definitely preferred!
Any source for that thick-ish foam double-sided tape for that matter? The 3M adhesives for iPhones and such is much, much thinner.
Used digitized work fine, as long as the seller has OEM somewhere in the listing. Make sure it is sold from US too, because Chinese sellers sometimes sell fake digitized that are "new".
Btw, the thin double sided 3m tapes work fine, but its a long shot from the original adhesive.. it works and I havent had any problems yet

Thanks, but the problem with used digitizers is they have scratches so I'd rather get a brand new one.
Does lack of responses mean all the TMOUS digitizers out there are likely to be used?
Go on eBay and look for the seller "dudu Sales". We get all of ours from them and haven't had a dud yet. Not to mention they package tools and tape, all for under 35$

Battery Cover

Hi all,
I somehow managed to loose my battery cover today on my Desire Z.
If anyone has one laying around or knows a good place to buy one I would appreciate some feedback.
Cheers.

Check out ebay. They have them listed all over. Amazon has them, but they are geared for the G2 and say G2 on them.
Yep, ebay would be your best bet. If you buy the cheap hong kong ones, be ready to wait about 3 weeks for it to get to you.

EBAY, great place for misc stuff like that. I just got mine two or three days ago from New York. Brand new for $10. You could probably get it for cheaper used but why not get it new.
Ebay is your best bet. I got multiple covers from Ebay after scratching the hell out of the original ones. Longer wait, but lower price. Trade-off
ive also found them on ebay, and their really cheap as well

help!

anyoneknw wher i cn get cheap screen kit?
Probably eBay. Or a local phone repair shop.
got eBay but quite expensive
You're probably looking at around £200 give or take, maybe more. Still quite expensive to replace the screens atm, also depends on the extent of the damage I guess.

[Q] Looking for a genuine LCD+Digitizer assembly

Hi.
My touchscreen is broken, so I have to replace it.
I am looking for a genuine part to buy through ebay or similar. I have seen a lot of sellers claiming to sell a genuine part, but since I heard about many cases of the so-called "genuine" screen that turn out to be a good quality fake, I am looking for feedback from people who have bought a screen and received a good item.
My only limitation is that I need to buy from a seller who can ship internationally - I am from Israel.
Thanks a lot.
http://www.spareslg.com/ They seem to sell the real thing, but they're more pricey. Never actually used them, but they claim to sell genuine service packs.
Omg nice prices, i waiting order from aliexpress completly LCD and digitizer and frame 48$
Wysłane z mojego Nexus 5
Buy from LG....only way to be sure.

eBay replacement screen quality

Hello all,
My S4 was dropped and the glass, LCD and digitizer is broken (everything else still works though. I can touch the bottom panel and buttons, sound works, I can ADB and connect via teamviewer, receive calls...etc)
I want to get a new frame,LCD,Digitizer (they have sets made up already) from eBay (probably from China), however, I am concerned about the quality of such a replacement.
The quality of the OEM LCD is quite nice, and I worry that a replacement will be sub-standard.
Moreso, the OEM digitizer is quite advanced (because of airview, which allows a user to hover their finger over the screen to show previews, etc), and I worry that this feature may not work in a cheap replacement from eBay.
Has anyone had any issues ordering replacements off eBay or found any issues with the quality of their replacements?
Thanks, all!
I'd suggest looking at the ratings the seller has. That generally gives a good ideea if he sells crap or not.
If you really need those features to work, I would say you try to find a genuine one from a trusted online dealer.

Click to collapse
Thanks. That is good advice.
I was hoping that someone with experience could answer, though. Anyone?
Look for a seller with Positive feedback more than 90%. Also look if he has sold same product before. So that you can look ratings in his feedback.
That's the best way to know about eBay sellers. I've bought nearly 10 replacement displays for various devices (as I am expert in fixing these)
iFixit site has spares as well but they are too costly!
