Enjoyed your ROM on the Note 2 and am looking forward to running it for the Note 4. I sent you a message on Telegram and I look forward to testing this out. Have a great day!

I'm no tester Brian, but its really good to see you over here! Remember the "post drama" Nebula hangout...good times ....hahaha! Always loved your work and look forward to seeing Alliance for DE! Awesome!
Oh yeah forgot to mention, there's not many of us with these phones compared to other devices or the same device on another carrier so thanks for considering us!

Same here alliance was my note 2 daily driver! I hope this comes to developer editions soon!
Sent from my SM-N910V using XDA Forums Pro.

Unfortunately, there weren't enough testers and there isn't enough interest in the ROM so the developer will not be creating it for our phones.

That's a bummer. I was really looking forward to it.

I loved the theming engine in Alliance. I had my Note 2 looking just like I wanted it. But there's no way I would ever use one of the comic book hero themes.
It's too bad nobody wanted to test for this. I would but I don't have time. My wife's health problems take up all my time.

This Rom would be great to have on the note 4 DE, has there been any update on this one

Ugh lol can't believe I missed that one

Maybe we can donate to the developer to encourage the build?

I would be willing to donate, but I believe we would still need additional testers before the rom could be built.

Testers are a must! There are so few of us with this phone and even fewer that have the ability or time to help. If you look at the download counts of the roms we do have available, they get dozens of downloads instead of hundreds or even thousands of downloads that other roms get. We're pretty lucky to have the devs we have at the moment.

Yes, we certainly are.
I've ran Poprocks (Lollipop) and Firekat (KitKat) as well. They are Tmobile roms that the developer creates Verizon variants for. They are pretty solid!

Well, I'm down for testing and donating if the developer decides to go ahead with a build. I have a KK bootloader phone and In couple of weeks I will have a lollipop bootloader phone so I can test with both.

How is xposed running on MoRom? I found that it was causing a few issues with apps while running Poprocks. Have you had any reboots or freezes?

I'm still on OAF and only running gravity box ...xposed has been stable for me. No troubles whatsoever. I really keep things minimal these days..especially since MoRom is so packed full of goodness...but I better leave it there...this is Alliance thread after all...

OrionOS is a project based on slim. The name Orion was chosen as a representation of the beauty and vastness of the world around us (Too much Philosophy, eh? ). We started this project for Falcon (Moto G), to make a stable Rom, which would include Bitsyko layers and important customization. The Rom is built with Uber toolchain which delivers awesome smoothness and includes a custom kernel built from ground-up to ensure good performance [WIP]. Needless to say, this project is a product of our hobbies and the love we bore for Android.

First!!! This ROM is stable or in beta version? bugs?
It mentions a custom kernel, and based on Slim... Does this Rom finally have a kernel which will let the Storm use CPU hotplugging, or is it still just using the default one?

After a few more days use, I run into this odd bug when setting the brightness to it's lowest setting, where the screen turns completely off but the phone still seems responsive. Restarting it didn't help, the screen turned off again after it finished booting.

Update build - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424964265 Try brightness fix. At now work OTA, and temporarily backported to stock kernel. In next update will be new kernel Foxy + new features.
I just tried that new build - no dice. It works great until I turn brightness to minimum, then the backlight seems to turn off. The phone still vibrates when I tap on the screen, so it's still registering input... Are there any other ways I can help?

I had to reinstall it to get it to turn the screen on, but the logcat file is so big that neither XDA or Pastebin let me upload it.

Thanks, worked much better! I had an error saying google play services force closed on boot up but it worked fine.
The brightness issue seems to be half fixed - I can now get the screen to come back on by moving the slider back in the other direction. From what I can tell it seems the slider goes lower than the screen would normally go, to the point the backlight actually turns off. I can make a video demonstrating this if you want.

2nd screen clock only while screen on?

Is this possible?
In settings you only have two choices: date & time or signature. Until one of the custom roms starts delving into the second screen, this is it.

Yeah that's screen off. I was curious about screen on. But I'm assuming that the answer is no.
Enabling the option under Settings -> Second screen -> "Show time while content is shown" and then hiding the status bar seems to force the clock (actually all status bar icons) into the second screen.
Nova has an option to do this (not root necessary) but it only will stay that way on your home screen and revert back when in an app that doesn't do Fullscreen. I'm not sure there is a way to always force Fullscreen without root + Xposed (which is not yet available for Nougat) for all apps.

So I tried this and it definitely removed the status bar and icons up top in the second screen, but no clock. Just black.

Interesting....I wonder why it is behaving different for me. I do have an older version of Nova though. You don't have any other settings to hide the clock in the notification bar enabled do you? And you are sure you enabled the option at the bottom of the second screen settings called "Show time while content is shown"?

You know what. I have a 3minit mod installed that hides the default clock. I bet that is what it is.

Android Authority: Edge Sense Plus makes the HTC U11 a shortcut machine
XDA-Developers: Edge Sense Plus for HTC U11 Quick Look: Get More Out of Every Squeeze
What is Edge Sense Plus?
You should already be familiar what Edge Sense is. By squeezing your device, it lets you perform some minor actions.
Edge Sense Plus extends those actions and adds some more features for you.
How does Edge Sense Plus work?
It is a simple app you install from playstore, linked at the bottom.
To get it working, you enable Advanced Mode'in the native Edge Sense Settings and select "Launch App" as custom action for both short and long squeeze
and pick the appropriate Edge Sense Plus Activity.
When the app starts the first time you'll get those instructions step by step again.
What can it do?

You can choose from 40+ different actions

Per app actions:
With the per app action, you can define different squeeze actions per app. So the chosen action will be executed dependent in what app you are currently are.
Double Squeeze: (Premium)
If you often accidentally trigger a short squeeze, that won't happen anymore if you map your desired action to the double squeeze gesture.
You can define a double squeeze interval, to ensure you are quick enough to trigger it every time.
G-Sensor usage:
If enabled, will be able to execute different actions depending on the current position of your device, whether it is flat or upright in your hand.
That way you can have six different squeeze gestures: short, long, doublepress in flat or upright device position.
Magisk system mod:
The magisk system mod replaces the native Edge Sense app and allows customizations on lowest level. That makes it possible to:
Execute actions while the screen is off/locked
Have pocket detection (disables edge sense when the proximity sensor is blocked)
Customize the colors of the feedback graphics
Media control:
The media control will override your set squeeze actions while media is playing so you can control your media.
That includes play/pause, increase/decrease volume and skip to next and previous track.
Squeeze sounds:
Ever thought it would be funny if a squeeze of your U11 would make a sound, if it is a *click*, *oink* or whatever you think of?
You can use any .mp3 file to make that happen!
Sidebar:
Remember that image?
We have that for real! Our Sidebar has three different panels, Applications, Recent Apps (Premium), Quicksettings (Premium).
You will also be able to customize the panel color to any color you like.

Wishful thinking, can't say I didn't try. :fingers-crossed:
Would ik be possible to add an option to fully disable pocket detection?
I would like to be able to use edge sense through your awesome app while I am on my motorcycle (full suit gloves and so on).

BUG 1: Substratun gives a message saying- it seems that you are on a supported themeable oreo device. An addon was released to support this.
after that it takes me to ANDROMEDIA page and asks me to purchase the addon.
BUG 2: While installing this ROM, i installed GAPPS both worked. But i was NOT able to install MAGISKS. Gave me the error 1... can somebody help?
BUT 3: I couldnt install SuperSU- patching se policy failure aborting is the error I get.
Can anyone help us to ROOT this Rom.
I hope all the new roms they post are rootedin advance
can i still work with Substrantum??
Question: Once you guys have the official or a new release of this firmware ROM- Would we be able to use the OTA update option?
Hope we dont have to flash the phone again . Im going to give this one a try real quick to see what happens.
I do not care about Camera- but the only thing I care about is - WIRELESS DISPLAY... if the wireless display/cast doesnt work ill have to restore back to Miui.

Please lay out the firmware to another file hosting service.
I love this ROM. Installed it yesterday, so far I didnt find any bug, except for the missing option- LONG PRESS to quit application.
can anyone please enable this feature? Although this feature is there when i search it on settings. But when i click on it- it says that the LINEAGE OS setting feature has stopped working. For now i can ignore this and live with it.
I installed this ROM using the REDWOLF TWRP Recovery. Installed MAGISKS-Cust. (Special Thanks to Morgana:angel
The Magisks works fine. Substrantum Themes also work fine. I just installed substrantum theme engine and it works pretty good, nav bar themes also work.
Im only concerned about the Long Press button to Quit application feature. If you guys can get it to work, it would be more than nice
