Some people have tried that but the only way it's stable enough is to port a full rom from a device that does have it (pro 2,G3,G4)
So if you really want the dual window, take a look at these roms:
Pro 2 port
Pro 2 port with UX 4.0
Or this rom (these developers have ported G4 apps to an existing G2 lollipop rom)
I've had the best experience with the first rom to be honest. You can also wait a few days until cloudyfa releases his G4 port for the G2. That one will probably have dual window and some more good stuff from the G4
edit: just make sure your G2 version is actually available

[Q] Developper&Community Support: G2 vs N5

Hey,
I am going to buy a new phone, however I am still doubting between the G2 or the N5. They are both equally priced, altough the G2 is a little bit cheaper with an LG cashback.
At this moment the G2 has a head start due to the larger battery, better camera (4K?!) and better specs overal (IR blaster) and I am going to use a custom rom anyway ( tips anyone ?).
However I am still in doubt to what the support of the community is.
Thus what I wanted to know is, how is the developper support and the community support of the G2 in comparison to the N5?
At first glance there seems to be much more support, developpers and custom roms for the N5 than the G2, can anyone tell me if this is indeed the case.
Is there btw a custom rom similiar to that of the N5 (with perhaps quickremote support)?
Thanks

The Nexus phones have pretty much the largest development base, so yes that's true. If you want access to the most roms, Nexus wins. Battery life would suffer though, that's why I chose the G2. There are some great roms for the G2 though, you have to do some searching to see if you like them. Cyanogenmod is the closest to the N5, which is just vanilla kitkat. For quickremote I think you need a stock based rom, but there are a few out there that have a dark theme like vanilla kitkat.

Thank you for your reply, I had a S3 where I had CM 11 unofficial on it (loved it).
I however read that the battery life of CM11 on the G2 is pretty bad.
One quick question again, I am from belgium and will thus be getting the international 802 version: I noticed there is a devide between the different versions, does that mean that I won't be able to use roms in the 801 forum ?

There are many roms that will work with all G2 versions, but roms only designed to work on 801 will not work on 802 without being ported (by a developer). The title usually says which version(s) it will work with. Some say "All variants".
I can't comment on CM because I run a customized stock rom. Great battery life and I really like white themes rather than dark.

Okay understandable, but that's kinda dissapointing about not being able to flash 801 on 802 or the other way around,
To my opinion, not a lot of roms will/could be ported to the other version. I believe this is of such a great influence that the N5 would be a wiser choice.
Can you help me out a bit and point me in the right direction as to where I can find these "many" custom roms ?
I have searched in G2 android development and G2 android development (802) section and the amount of custom roms I found was very limited:
Kit Kat baked is unofficial for the 802
Gummy Rom is not available for the 802
Btw:
1. root
2. TWRP
3. CM11/ Pacman/Paradroid ?

Root and TWRP are for sure available. Did you check the original android development section for roms? Probably still not as many as for the N5. I never heard of Gummy rom, but the others I have.

as for threads this one is aosp only http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/orig-development and as long as it says d802 in it you will be able to flash also d802 specific thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development-d802
as for development and different models each devise is different from there sources to their networks so each has to be developed to differently unlike the nexus which is a one for all device also pretty much all the features which are for stock g2 have been ported over and battery life is amazing on both stock and aosp especially compared to the n5

[Q]Nexus 5 stock AOSP port

Hi.
I was trying to find a pure AOSP ROM for three months for my G2, with no results.
This afternoon I saw a guide explaining how to port AOSP based ROMs between devices, so I thought: G2 and N5 have pretty much the same hardware right?
Can I port the stock N5 firmware to G2 using this method (link below)?
If yes, what build of Stock N5 ROM and AOSP G2 ROM do you suggest me to use?

Yes we can but you need to be rooted and have a custom recovery installed. Be reminded that rooting and flasing a custom rom WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY so be cautious when going through the process.
There's a lot of G3 ROM here in the forum and I can't say which is the best since I haven't tried all of them. I'm currently using CloudyG3 and I haven't encountered any major bugs yet.

As for the QuickCircle case, there's no such thing unless you cut the quickwindow to a circular one.
Thanks for replay, it is better to have the lg G2 with the G3 rom or not ? thanks
@piranha007 it all depends on whether you like the g3 rom or more g2. If you like g3 just go ahead and have it but I also suggest you to make a visit to Dorimanx stock kernel thread in the android development forum. I dont know 100% or it works on g3 stock but I believe it works :/.
Enjoy your device
Thanks guys for your help i will go to G3 rom, but i have lot off to reed because i'm a ios user, and it's my first android phone. Thanks again.
@piranha007 yes since you are now an android user you are now free out of prison and you can almost do and customize whatever you want cause its android
Yes i agree, i'm free now , no jailbreak, no desimlock, no baseband problem hhhh
Note: you will NOT have wireless storage by default on G3 ROMs - you will need to install apps such as airdroid.

If you want to run custom ROM, your phone needs to be rooted and gets custom recovery installed.
It's some sorts of jailbreaking.
No baseband problem? Don't set the bar too high. In almost every Android forum, you'll see radio/baseband/ thread. We, Androider do flash different baseband frequently. Why? 'cuz there is problems.

Can LG G3 MM Rom ported to G2?

G3 Mm rom started rolling in Poland. Can it be ported to our phones? Do developers need MM kernel, source?
As far as i know it cant be done...just UI and apps and stuff like that
i remember reading someone saying , do g4/g3 have mm? then no, now that they have it that means it can?
same happened when lollipop was out and we were running kk, the thing is that as far as i understand, devs needs G2 source code from lg and then they will mix g2 mm with g3 mm, until the g2 dont get mm(and release that source code), then there wont be a port of the g3-g4-g28 or whatever
We don't actually get firmware ports. We get "OS" ports, or rather newer files mixed with a base firmware from the G2.

Lg g2 stock camera software on CM13?

HOW ABOUT THIS:
http://d-h.st/gDu
That's only port of stock camera. It doesn't take so good photos as camera in stock rom. The port is worse than snap camera in CM13.

if you want good qulaity stock camer then flash stock rom...
stock rom has frameworkd that aosp or cm doesnt .. thats why camera dont look as good as stock rom..
Use FreeDCam for best experience with non stock/stock based ROMs.
I think there are some works trying to port LG framework to AOSP roms and by that you can install LG apps on AOSP roms
This work is still in progress though so you have to wait a little
PS : you can find the thread in G2 Developer Discussion [Developers Only] section.
You can try this app, i dont know if it work well ( you tell me : p)
