hello my device had a xcuan firmware. i m trying to install a custom stock rom based; all are based on xxuan firmware and the camera doesnt work ..i tried to install the fix for camera (for example bradex rom) but doesnt works... how is it possible?

I was on FoxHound 2.0 (android 4.2.2) and everything was fine, then when I updated to the latest FH 3.0 (4.3) I chose to flash the stock kernel on aroma, booted and set it up, updated the camera firmware and then reflashed the rom choosing audism kernel...
and then I noticed something odd, I can't take pictures with flash on the stock samsung camera!
flash works on video and touch to focus, just not when I actually take a picture :crying:
I thought it could be the rom so I wiped and went to Echoe rom... same issue...
did I do this for trying to update the camera firmware? can I go back?

Hello everybody, i need help! i have a s4 snapdragon version and have encountered a big problem...with original firmware(first 4.4 leaked or last italian no brand version) the camera works fine, but when i flash a custom rom (i use slimkat, but tried also cyanogenmod) the camera stop working, it,s autoclosing every time i open it...tried fix permission,wiping, fresh install...nothing!
Ive tried installing custom roms but both roms stuck at first boot..
Flashed base firmware of M but same issue.....and i noticed that even after flashing the base M firmware the device boots to stock lolipop rom ...
I dont understand this...Im usung latest TWRP 3.0...

1.Resurrection Remix[Stck at first boot]
2.Beastslk rom[stuck at first boot]
3.Deodexed M based stock rom[Worked]~

-First u must update ur phone to android 6.0 (if u was on android 5.0. U must update ur phone lasted fm of 5.0 )

I am also looking for a solution, I tried to flash the rom stock via twrp without success.
Try installing Chinese ROM through Nubia emergency recovery, then you can install the european firmware
I don't have any experience in app porting, but i extracted the camera files from stock rom.
If someone can please port the camera app. Or post a guide how to port stock apps to custom rom.
There are some features that are missing from gcam as compared to stock cam.
I tried installing by placing the files in exact location in custom ROM but not working

I'd like to know it too! I was thinking to make a backup of the stock camera via Titanium Backup, then restoring it after the custom ROM had been installed, but I did not try yet.

you can flash it via magsik ,also remember to. flash addons for portrait mode .
