Hiya
Now, I'd really like to know why searching was so difficult (I mean this in a friendly way - to help others) You see I have placed a sticky called Search XDA..using Google at the top of the messages list.
Now when I just put in SSPL Hermes - guess what, top of the list came the link you were just given by ARC. Took maybe 20 seconds!!
Please tell me how you tried your searches and whether you spotted the google sticky above?? We really need to sort out the searching difficulties some folks are finding.

There hardly is any branding. A startup-picture and some web favourites inside the browser that you can delete, maybe a provider-specific app. No hardware branding at all.
But if you mean the SIM lock to one provider than that's what is discussed in this thread.

I know the difference between a software/hardware branding and a sim unlock. I was specially talking about the provider specific startup picture. Everything else is easy removable Any way to remove that one ?

That was hardware based tool. You need a SPT Box (which cost arround 200EUR).

I am in a similar situation with a phone locked to Three (in the UK).
I have tried SPT but it won't load with a "Smart card resource manager is not running" error.

Oh no.... I also bought an Omnia 7 with 3 Austria lock. Can someone plz tell me how I can can unlock it. It s important i have the phone now but I can´t phone or sms with it, that sucks... Is that Ebay Link only for T-Mobile and At&T ? But in the description is sayed that it s for all european carriers ? So can i unlock my 3 Austria phone with this Ebay Link ? Are t-Mobile an AT&T only Examples ?

I think you will be OK. Reading some of the feedback it would appear that 3 ,Orange and T-Mobile phones can all be unlocked.Why not send him a message and ask him specifically about 3 Austria.
I used this bay seller and i got the code back the same day and it worked fine.
My only problem now is that i can't get the internet to work? Calling and messaging is fine. I understand that MMS doesnt work but i cant open an explorer page or anything. I tried some different APN setting but still no luck.
Does anyone have any tips?

I have seen X10i,a or just X10 .
I went into the menu and found I have an X10a (A for America ?)
Are there specific things I should look for or not do for this model ?
I also realized something about this site today, You don't go to a Speed Shop and ask about changing your air filter or cleaning your dashboard. I understand the purpose of this site to do dive deeper into software and go beyond "Is there an App for that?" conversations.

hello, long time i dont came to this site but here i am again for some help if possible "hope im not breaking any of the foruns rule".
The thing is, i saw someone on the forum talk about Cellphoneunlocker website to unlock the phone, so i went there and paid for the service... they sent me those spam mails to check the imei and such and that S/N thing but since i couldnt type what they asked (To find the KBH (S/N) just press : >*<<*<* (right arrow, star, left arrow, left arrow, star, left arrow, star), so i removed the battery and there it was.
Sent it but im already waiting for 2 weeks, i even tried to contact via online chat but was online on that window for (lol) 9 hours and still nothing, typed on the testimonials thing and they didnt even posted my comment "and no i wasnt using any rude words but i wanted "
Anyway i wanted to know if theres any other website TRUSTABLE for that matter, and if i get a unlock code from that website... does my phone bricks after an update or thats just for bootlock ?

Got the unlock code after like a week or so after i posted here... but man, they take ages atleast for xperia play.
Guess you can trust them, but you will have to wait for it like ages, try to contact them first by email or live chat.
I didn't even know there was a different Chinese version let alone try to buy it. And I bought it a long time ago because I had to find a Chinese person to even set it up so it could be changed to English.
Now EVERYTHING I GOOGLE IS WRONG!
I am desperate. I can't even screenshot, which I do constantly every day for my job. No matter what I Google or Youtube no one shows how to use the Chinese version.
Where can I find information? A manual? I am so sunk. I'll pay for help!
