[Q] Which Version of Galaxy s4 (except Int'l one) has the most development? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

I'm planning to buy a second hand Galaxy s4 from Craigslist. Which one should I buy for use in India? Besides the International version, which version should I get from a development standpoint? (Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile, At&T). I'll be using a GSM network in India but I think any of these will work on GSM network assuming they have been unlocked from their carriers.
Thanks.

why dont you buy an international one?

Selling an European HD2 to an American friend

Hey guys,
I'm thinking about selling my HD2 to an American friend of mine. It's the EU version and I was wondering if it will also work in the U.S. It's not all CDMA over there, isn't it? And what price would you suggest? It's in a really good condition and I was thinking about $200.
He would get me a American Galaxy Nexus (which is now being sold for 400$ directly from Google), which should work over here, I guess?
Thanks guys!

We have gsm as well, but it depends on specifications of the hardware, some phones don't like T-Mobile frequency bands.

So he would be tied to certain carriers? And how do I find out if/how it will work?

There is no reason to by AT&T branded Galaxy S4 off contract is there?

Because you can buy T-Mobile Galaxy S4 off contract, unlock it for free, and use it with AT&T and get LTE. So any other reason to go with AT&T?
Developers edition is coming out for at&t soon.

If going off contract I would buy tmo or Google version no Bs locked bootloader on either.
32GB?

If your willing to spend $600+ then just wait for the developer edition on ATT.
And if you hate touchwiz, then buy the Google edition

Are you saying that the ATT version bought at full retail won't work on T-mobile's 3G/LTE but the T-mobile version bought at full retail will work on ATT's 3G/LTE?

Will both of these variants work on T-mobiles and ATTs 3G / LTE?

Ok, but what if we want 32GB? Will the developer's edition come in 32GB? Buying the T-Mobile version will also not be supported for those of us with ATT insurance.

Just bought a 910T on Swappa

Phone is already rommed and rooted. Hope it is unlocked for ATT. I decided to buy a T mobile device to use on ATT rather than an international device. If it does not work on ATT I can resell it for $675 Won't have a shortage of buyers. I expect it can be used with ATT LTE bands as well
lol

As best I can tell the n910t supports both Tmobile and At&t. But you'll probably need to unlock it.

Anyone using a Canadian Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935W8 (Exynos, Rootable)

Locked bootloader is no go for me for the T-Mobile version. I was thinking about the International version, but then checked out the FCC specs for the Canadian version S7 Edge SM-G935W8 which are for Telus and Bell. The specs show that the Canadian model supports all the T-Mobile and AT&T LTE: Bands (2/4/5/12/13/17/25/30/41) as well as the 4g HSPA frequencies (850/900/1700/1900/2100)
https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=2893552
It has the Exynos , but is bootloader unlocked and rootable. Off contract price in Canada is $1000 CDN which with exchange is approx $780 USD.
People have unlocked this device using internet unlocking services, so I am strongly considering this model. Is anyone here using it?

Not yet but I'm considering the same option.. Looks like everything is compatible
Yes, apparently if you buy through a Samsung experience store rather than a carrier store it comes with factory unlock codes.

So you have to travel to Canada to purchase one of these variants?

You could more then likely purchase them online as well.
Any update on this? I am looking to get one from Canada too but not sure if it's worth it. I know it won't work with Samsung Pay, Volte, and wifi calling. Anything else you know might not work?
Nope, everything else is working. Supports T-Mobile and att lte

Sprint will never activate an international model of any phone, especially if said phone lacks a CDMA antenna.
