All week since I got my new G I was hovering on that page looking for news, and just 3 hours ago the new post was made
Great news!!
I have a tree made for the Titan on my github. You'll need the relevant picks on the cm gerrit for it to build.
Before everyone goes compile crazy, let's actually boot the phone before 30 threads with boot looping "progress" and little advancement are created. I'm not planning on buying this device, only to help as much as I can bring it up. There are talented dev's who will surely take it up later on.

I'm about to go hard on this device, if anyone wants to gimme a hand to get CRdroid or any CAF(hopefully) ROMs on this device that would be awesome. Shoot me a PM...I've never done anything like this before but I've been reading up on it and I'm very computer savvy. More heads are better than one, though!
I just really enjoy this device...

Finally some good news, i really hope for some good ROMs!
I hope so too, but asking on the CyanogenMod group in Google+ kind of dashed my hopes of seeing something soon. Guess no dev has stepped up develop a ROM for G 2014 Users yet, and i'm no good as a dev myself :-/

Hi all,
I'm contacting AT&T and LG Mobile to force them to release the KDZ and TOT for our LG G5.
I had thought about starting a petition for it, what do you guys think about it?
Anyone had luck with getting some answeres that might end up with AT&T releasing these files?
BTW, I used to own a Motorola Milestone in the past, and some forum member succeeded on cracking Motorola's bootloader, maybe he will help us here as well (I had PM him about this topic, let's hope he will give it a shot).

Please, help us spread the word, it's a petition for all LG G5 devices, not only AT&T's one.

Yesterday I spoke with "oneclickroot" support team and tried figuring out if they will try to assist with rooting our LG G5.
The dev support APPROVED that they are working on it and it will take some time (crappy AT&T and Nougat's security).
About the petition, before I'm opening one, anyone else got some other ideas?

Yes, kidnap senior AT&T exec and hold them for ransom. I'll bet we'd have root within 24 hours.

Last year, the LG G5 was released to the market.
Tons of new features, top notch SOC and the first flagship that offered HW modification.
All the community of developers and end users was happy and excited to create ROMs, kernels etc.
But, unfortunately, LG with cooperation with the massive Carriers agreed to lock the bootloader​.*
A year later, only two variets received the unlocked bootloader and all the rest left behind with a dying LG G5 community.
Our demend is that LG will unlock the bootloader and provide a TOT tool. Let us be free of the locked garden chain!

We might can get a bootloader unlock.. But we WONT get a TOT/KDZ directly from LG or AT&T. Remember all those files are only meant INTERNAL use only. LG doesn't publicly post these files.

My big mistake I bought an at&t variant. I was thinking its a USA based model and will be better than others. I was totally wrong. Never ever buy a phone on at&t contract. Worse choice ever I selected.
I am too thinking that It's a big mistake I bought an at&t variant.

I can't stand not having root anymore. I just listed my g5 up for sale, won't make this mistake twice. It's a shame, its not a half bad phone
hi! guys any update?
It was a random guy selling it by the train station where I lived. I was skeptical at first as it could've been stolen but at the end of the day I had my head am filming so I just took video of the transaction. Got it $15 cheaper than what the store was offering it for with a discount with a month of activation. Sounded fair to me.
The screen is what sold me. So much space to it. A Google search later and I was sold on it from the processor, screen size, and internal space. For $35 it wasn't bad.
Tinkering with it these few months has been nice. I've never owned an LG device before this one, can't say I will after though. I'm a Samsung/ZTE kind of guy. Those companies love the developers.
LG released source code like 4-5 months after the phones release, which really sucked development wise. We were pretty much screwed from the getgo.
A year later and there's not much development done for it but we do have the people making the effort still and that is what development is about. The ability to keep trying g no matter how long it takes. Who knows? Maybe we will find something new, or maybe LG will give us a new platform update (mm or n).
In the meantime, I still carry 2 phones as this one is just to tinker on.

This thread is not designated for this discussion you're bringing. This is a discussion on why users have obtained this device, reason why exactly people got it. What they expected from it.
As for your comments, I did not take them personally, I took them personally on behalf of the developers and users of the forum. As a community we must work together, not tear down whatever foundation is existent.
As for your participation, from my knowledge you helped with the as330 model as best as anyone could, but the ms330 model - you copied a couple posts which did more harm than good. Multiple threads of the same information to newcomers confuses them.

I got this phone because I had upgraded from the LG L90 with T-Mobile JUMP. The lady told us it was a better phone in the store. It's really not that much different tho. I still like this phone though.
