I did this design so it can be used on the back screen with ease.

Great idea! What did you use to make it? I assume you mirror it to the EPD?

Yes occasionally. I used total launcher. This can also be done with nova it's best to use black and white icons so it will be clear on the back

Did you try RRO themes? I haven't spent much time yet, but I installed Layer Manager and chose a Black&White theme from the Official MEGA RRO Layers Overlays Collection.

big launcher
the best launcher/home screen i have seen and use for the epd is big launcher with the monochrome light theme (others available) - colours and size are really good on epd
yes i know it's for the more mature / senior person but it works really well
i use this has my 2nd launcher/home screen and switch between main and this
i have tried various launchers on epd with lots of icon packs (b&w are best) but they don't come close for me to the big launcher!!!
now looking for a good web browser for use on epd that works better than stock version - web like a book looked hopeful but only available for 1st gen yota phone - hoping developer may update
hope this is of interest and helps

Is there away to add your own pictures to epd on the new update

At the moment, no. The images are packaged as assets inside the YotaHub apk file. But I did notice that the black and white themes have different pictures if you want more selection.

It works, smooth and different with ICS/Honeycomb tablet style
Realtime pinch to zoom desktops
Nice colored folders
Resizable folders like in spb shell
Different icons choice came with theme
Weather and Note are not worth it, just get the 3 themes and either xhdpi or hdpi, they work the same.
I customized it, so therefore I like it.
Switched from Nova launcher.

Fitting Wallpapers

I'm looking for a good background on the screen, if I open the screen setup I see a square block instead of a rectangle block,
if i use a 1280x800 image is always cuts off a part of the image.
does someone know the resolution of the square box?
of does anyone have a link to a wallpaper pack for the Tab 10.1?
Greetz...
I been struggling with this same issue since day one. I too tried using the same Res wallpapers with the same issue lol. Soo I did some experimenting. For me what worked was a combination of two things. First off I use 1280x1024 wallpapers and I use quickpic to apply them. Here's some screenies to compare gallery and quickpic..

This image I'm sure ur familiar with. Nice n square and not cropped as we want it to be.
Here as you can see the crop toll within quickpic fits the rectangle horizontally quite perfectly and only cutting off the image at the top and the bottom. This is something that has become quite acceptable to me lol. Well I hope this helped

Wallpapers that fit
I too was having this problem. Even using Zedge would render blurry, non-fitting images. After some trial and error, I found PicSpeed wallpapers (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5zcnNkZXYud2FsbHBhcGVycyJd) and everything that I've loaded from there has been cropped and adjusted properly. I did find that I get my best results by picking the default settings, which is the one that allows the wallpaper to scroll. Not my app at all, but it solved this problem for me.
Good luck.
best solution till now for wallpapers i found
i use app in google play called wallpapers bay to get nice looking wallpapers with tablet resolutions and save them as download them then use app in google play called simple image wallpaper to set them i enter the app from from live wallpaper !!! and then find the name of installed app then enter it enter setting and browse image in gallery then set it sooo decent looking

[ZOOPER][CUSTOMIZATION] tb01110100's Zooperlicious Widgets

Hey, all.
I've only been messing around with zooper for a week or so, and it is still absolutely phenonemal. I love it. Here, I will share some widgets that I've created in my own free time. Check back here every once in a while, I may add new ones.

suppose you could use this for your home screen if you want to.

Sweet, question, is it possible to replace the crosshair in the 'where am i'-thingy with a picture or shape, so that I could use a pin like in G-maps f.e.?

I don't know exactly how to to do it, but you might be able to get it to work by removing the 2 progress bars that form the crosshairs, then adding in a bitmap of your choice, and meddling with the x/y offsets in advanced parameters to have its position based on #LLAT# and #LLONG#. Hope this helps.
Thomas
Thnx for the great work! Love the widgets you made!

I alternate between nova and action launcher. I think the sweet spot for grid size on the nexus 10 is 7x9.

[Q] Status bar icons color (How to change)

Hello, I want to change touchwiz kinda grey (ish) status bar icons to white, like CM's (not exactly CM's icons but the color). I've used flatstyle module but the notification icons from other apps and text remain grey. I've looked within SystemUI.apk but didn't find anything that leads me to that, are those .png files, any .xml file I need to dig?
I'm on Norma v15 Note 5 port for Note 3.
I attach images of my rom and CM's.
Thanks in advance.
Yeah, well welcome to the minority world. I mean most people don't even get bothered by a 'small' thing like this, but I don't understand how don't they, because the distinction between grey and white is more than noticeable, even for people with imperfect visions, and as status bar is a narrow and small spaced space, the more noticeable they are, the better. So best of luck for finding an answer to it.
I think it's not grey but a bit transparent. Maybe in color.xml in res/values. I used to adjust it but can't remember exactly.

Well, I've looked into it and changed every #fffafafa (which is the grey) to #ffffffff, but everything remains the same.
Hey buddy, yes, I'm a bit obsessed with that, couldn't use your systemui png files, spent a lot of time yesterday night trying to find the correct xml.
I will not rest until figure this out.

Uniform Icons

Hey guys! So I've been searching for an icon pack that themes all the icons to the same shape. Now I've tried a lot but only the MIUI v5 theme seems to work as I want (see attached pic). Also, Alos and MeeUI do a good job at it, but I always havea few icons that don't fit. Is there a way to fix it? Or do you know an icon pack that does a better job at theming unsupported icons? I ideally, I would want that if an icon is not supported, it is resized to fit the shape of the theme's icons. Or have a matching background mask. Is what I am looking for impossible?

If you are referring to the Icon packs available in the Samsung themer, then this is not possible. My understanding is that Samsung only allows around 20 icons to be themed. At best some packs put the existing icons into the shell like you illustrated there. If you want more fully themed Icons you probably have to switch to a 3rd party launcher like Nova.
Id try using whatever type of icon pack you want that is supposed to give them all a specific shape such as a circle or like samsungs squircle type shape, and then downloading this app called adapticons, it allows you to choose an app and then basically make your own icon for that app. Once youve created the icon you like, you can put the icon straight to your homescreen, export it to your gallery, or export it into a icon pack. some shapes are locked unless you donate $1 but its the best app i have found to get around this issue, it would be extremely worth the $1 to get the extra shapes and other features (or just use lucky patcher maybe)
try adapticons
