Q: How do i find out which exact bootloader version is currently installed? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
My "new to me" LG G2 D802 came with stock KitKat 4.4.2. I updated to stock Lollipop 5.0.2 (30b) using the LG PC Tool and rooted the phone by using this method.
According to the OP of this thread i am now running again a KitKat bootloader and a KitKat "download mode" on lollipop.
I would like to experiment with some other kernels and such and have some noob questions here, which i could not answer by searching the forum. Coming from Samsung and Oneplus, the LG world is rather new to me. Please don't treat me too hard
How do i tell which exact bootloader version i am running now?
What do i have to remember when flashing a different kernel (i.e. Dorimax)?
How does the above procedure affect OTA-"updateability"?
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Was this question too noobish? Or does really nobody know? Any hints would be really appreciated!
TIA,
Tom

Problem with root LG7

hello to everyone.
Thanks to anyone who will help me to solve my problem.
I've searched the forums and tried to follow the guidelines for proper root of my LG L7 whose characteristics are:
Android 4.1.2 V20A
kernel 3.4.0
Although I follow the guidelines and while KDZ root the firmware the phone is removed from the emergency mode and reboots normally.
If you need further information do not hesitate to ask, thanks to the collaboration
If I am not mistaken currently V20* cannot be rooted so you should flash an already rooted ROM. You will find some in the development section. I'm using V20A by Homero .

you must download tot rom file then flash it using flashtool
I'm a complete newb concerning flash/installing software and especially reverting back to 4.2.2.. I have the D802 International version (bought it off Amazon) its the UK edition I believe. I'm trying to find the correct firmware but they are all so cryptic I'm worried I'll download the wrong one ( I have the 32GB version) and brick my phone..
Is there any kind of reliable guide I can use to do this process? Or better yet some kind of automated piece of software?
Or would it be best to just wait for LG to release an update to fix it?
If it wasn't such a big issue ( I use my headphones every day constantly..) I would wait but I don't think I can..
Any information would help.
You can try the steps described in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

Help Installing Cloudyflex 2.4 on D802!?

Hello everyone i recently purchased a LG G2, and then rooted it and flashed the CM 11 rom. After some time of using it, i heard about the cloudy rom and would like to flash it but when i went to the forum i didn't understand how to flash the KK baseband or what that even means? When i opened the thread with all the basebands i didn't know which one to choose, there were multiple basebands with the words d802.So i wondering if anyone might guide me through the process to safely flash the cloudyflex 2.4 rom. I'm using the d802(International) G2. Sorry if the question is noobish.

You'll only need the base band if your coming from a jellybean ROM. Since your not you won't need it. Just follow the instructions in the thread.

I don't have experience with that exact model, but tons of general LG experience and I haven't seen one of their phones that couldn't be downgraded. Google: LG Spirit kdz and find a guide with the instructions and files needed.
For now, there is only stock 5.0.1 for LG Spirit. You cannot downgrade to KitKat or jellybean.
But there are some versions of 5.0.1, for example you can downgrade from 5.0.1 v10c to 5.0.1 v10a but I don't see any point in this.
ok ,thanks for replies.
