MI2 can't enable WIFI - Xiaomi Mi 2

Hi guys, I'm trying to install a custom ROM on a MI2 but I can't seem to get WIFI to work on any ROM other than sMIUI. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what I'm missing?
ROMs I've tried:
-http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/mokee-os-44-2-updated-15-01-2014-mfunz.23028/
What I've done:
-Install CWM 6.0.5.0 via update.zip method
-Cleared system/cache. Factory reset/etc.
-Installed ROMs using CWM in boot partition 1
Much thanks appreciated.

Gave up. Installed CM11 Nightly and called it a day.

maybe you should replace a rom

[Q] Nexus 7 - Stuck in Boot Loop

Device Model: Google Nexus 7 16GB
ROM: PARANOIDANDROID 2.99 PIE3.1 (4.2.1)
Recovery: Clockworkmod Touch Recovery 6.0.1.9
I installed this ROM at the root of my SD card and wiped the dalvic cache. When I try to boot it, I'm stuck at the "X" boot screen. I've already reflashed my device 3 times and this bug is still there. I was just curious if anyone has seen this issue and if there were any workarounds?
I'm able to flash my device back to Stock but I really want to get this ROM working so a little help would be appreciated!!

First of all, that's not a brick. Not at all. You need to read the installation instructions, which would have told you that wiping data is a must.
Re: [Q] PARANOIDANDROID 2.99 - Bricked Device
You don't need a workaround. About a million purple have installed PA. What ROM did you try and flash over and are you sure you had the right file for your android version?

Not a brick. If you can flash something else it's not a brick.

Before I flashed anything, I was using Stock 4.2.1 but once I started flashing ROMs, I've been stuck at a boot loop even though I've wiped the data and dalvik cache. I seriously can't figure out what's going on.
ROMS flashed: CM10, LiquidSmooth, ParanoidAndroid, MIUI, SmoothROM
Recovery Tools: CWM 6.0.1.9, TWRP 2.3.2.1 (I have tried both recovery tools for each ROM when performing installation)
Each time I've been stuck at the boot, I had to reflash the Stock Image to recover. After I flash the stock image, I would try to flash another ROM. It's not like I have any data on here either so wiping the data isn't really helping as suggested...
The steps that I've followed:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Root Device
3. Flash ROM using either CWM or TWRP.
4. Wipe Data + Dalvik Cache
5. Reboot System.
Is there something wrong with the steps I'm using? I've been using the Nexus 7 Toolkit 4.0.0 to make things quicker but it seems like I should just use the adb shell and manually trace it step by step.
Nevermind, I figured it out. I did a factory reset before the flash and then wiped all the other stuff in order for my Nexus 7 to boot properly. Thanks for the feedback!

[Q] Omni Rom on FInd 5 installation fails

Hey Omni Community,
Today i tried to install the Omni Rom (omni-4.4.2-20131219-find5-NIGHTLY) on my Oppo Find 5. First i rooted the device with framaroot and then installed twrp.
Secondly i copied the rom + gapps on the phone. In twrp in cleared the cache + dalvik and tried to install the rom. But in the middle of the progress it stoped and says "fail" .
What is that and why.

We need far more information than this... considering that none of the developers can reproduce this issue.
Also, rooting the device was completely unnecessary since you can just flash TWRP with fastboot.
I got it Fixed
i just changed to cwm and it worked.
Done it without rooting .

No wifi on Find 5 after flashing PAC ROM

Hi everybody!
First of all I flashed CWM onto the phone using fastboot, then I "successfully" flashed from ColorOS to PAC ROM. Everything went nice untill I tried to enable WiFi. It can discover accespoints and allows me to enter my password but it wont connect. It just says "stored". Changing the IP settings manually didn't work either.
So, I was thinking, maybe going from ColorOS to PAC ROM is too much for a newb like me so I tried Paranoid Android... But on that rom I couldn't even enable WiFi! And after that I had the same thing with CyanogenMod. As a final solution I tried to flash it back to ColorOS but now I get a error (status 6). I've done a little searching and it I'm sure that there is a solution for that error but I don't want ColorOS, I want PAC ROM!
This is what I did to flash my phone.
I followed the instructions on the CM website for installing fastboot.
Using fastboot I installed CWM recovery
In recovery I did the following:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik cache
install zip from sdcard (rom +ggapps)
reboot system now
I got my files here
I've done a lot of searching, but I counldn't find any similar issues. I think the problem is with my phone (or my incompetence) and not the rom(s)
If there is anyone that could help me or send me in the right direction it would be highly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Stefan.
Did you flash the right modem?...
All custom roms is modem 4.1 except Cyanogenmod, CM is modem 4.2. Coloros is also 4.2

Thanks a lot! I flashed the rom, ggapps AND the 4.1 modem dropbox.com/sh/m2rt58xjjrlg2p2/kSu4khBxa6 (source)and it works!
I'm thrilled it works, but how come I missed this requirement? It wasn't mentioned on the pages with the instructions for installing custom roms, or is it just me?
Thanks again, I'll buy you a beer!

[Q] [Help] Can't flash a recovery

Hi,
I currently have CWM 6.0.4.4 installed on my d802 but I can't update it.
I have tried flashing using this tool:
CWM 6.0.4.7
TWRP 2.7.0.0
CWM Touch 6.0.4.4
I also tried flashing with ROM Installer.
In every case, the flash seems to work fine, but I reboot to recovery and it's still CWM 6.0.4.4 and nothing has changed. I've tried factory reset, wiping cache (dalvik too), yet it didn't make a difference.
If it matters, I'm currently using CM 10.2-20131110-NIGHTLY-d802.
The point of this is because I get an error when I try to flash a kitkat rom (e.g. CM 11.2) and I assume I need to update recovery.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584938 Try flashing twrp 2.7 this way
OH MY GOD I had Root Access set to Apps Only in Dev options. I feel like an idiot.
Thanks anyway Art, at least Flashify made me realise there was an issue with root.

[Q] Gapps does not install while flashing with cm12.1 - Nexus 4

Hey guys,
Recently I flashed
ClockWorkMod recovery - v 6.0.1.9
Cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly -cm-12.1-20150706-NIGHTLY-mako.zip
It all worked out (with great difficulty) and the phone works fine.
However, I have no google apps. Coming from stock factory setting to a rom with no google apps is quite difficult.
So, i tried flashing the gapps along with the rom but i keep getting a status 7 error message and the installation gets aborted, the result being when i reboot my phone i get a plethora or error messages of all the google apps which stop working (i.e none of the gapps work).
I have tried flashing the following (file names) gapp zip files with no luck.
gapps-5.1-2015-06-02-15-21
gapps-5.1-2015-07-03-13-41
gapps-L-4-21-15
gapps-lp-20150211-signed
BaNkS-dynamic-gapps-L-6-21-15
pa_gapps-modular-mini-5.1-20150315-signed
Even the gapps link on the cyanogenmod wiki page does not work. ( i think i included that filename in the above list)
On reading other forums, members say that the recovery must be updated.
Quite honestly i am quite apprehensive to do anything to the recovery as i got stuck into a bootloop once and it took me a day to get out of it.
P.S i am a complete amatuer in this process, this is the first custom rom i flashed after staying on stock factory images for 2 years.
I really do need help, as no other rom works well except the cm 12.1 and itwould be absoutely brilliant if i have the google apps too!
Thanks in advance.
solution found
Hey there, I have the s4 (GT-i9505)
I had the same problem until today and I have found the solution to it,
I updated my cm12.1 nightly to 20150706,
Downloaded slim gapps 5.1.x mini latest (20150706), [I searched for it on Google]
Tried flashing the cm and then the gapps but it didn't work, and gave me all the errors of apps that have stopped which was very annoying.
So then I did a little research and figured out that I was using twrp v2.6.0.0 which was quite old , so I never gapps after the root. So then I updated it to the latest version by connecting my phone to the PC in download mode and downloaded the twrp v.2.8.0 (latest) and recovery booted my phone.
Factory reseted my phone, installed both the cm12.1 and gapps by selecting the zip files and then flashing them. Wiped the dalvik cache. Finally rebooted my phone.
And to my surprise it actually worked. Thank god that now I have the play store and all the other apps without any annoying popups.
I'm on my phone so I can't seem to be able to upload any links .
I'm sorry you gotta have to search on Google for the download links.
Have fun buddy. Hope it works on your nexus 4. Enjoy !!
Got it working!!
So, followed some forums ( including mehsan23) and updated my custom recovery. The most surprising thing is that you can do this by downloading zip files of the latest cmw recovery and flash them on to your existing recovery and the recovery automatically updates.
Then flashed the gapps on cm12.1 wiki page and it worked! So relieved! However the Google app crashes but its alright I can do without it.
Thanks guys!!
P.s thanks again mehsan23
