Looking for Lollipop ROM/KERNEL that has NTFS Support - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I used to have NTFS support with custom X-Note Kitkat rom with Lean Kernel. I use Paragon NTFS to have R/W access to my 2TB WD external drive formatted on NTFS.
Now I am on DarkLord rom and have tried different kernels but could not get R/w access to NTFS.
Can you help me with this problem?

Same here
Hi!
I'm on AryaMod 5.3 with arterkernel and Paragon and OTG Helper apps don't work for me too.
You can "fix" this problem in this way: install ES File explorer, got to > Locale > USB and mount your HDD!

Not mounting verbatim external hdd otg

Hi, I'm trying to mount a external hdd on my nexus 7 but in es file esplorer the folder is empty.
I'm stock 4.2.2 rooted, using stickmount (tried others app with no success)
Tried ntfs and fat32..
I can mount other drives but the verbatim is not accessible.
The drive has it's own power.
So i want to know if there is a workaround for this
Or not all the drives can work on the nexus 7 ?
Will a kernel or custom rom can make it work?
Tried apps especially for ntfs mounting , one see the drive but will not mount it.
Anyway I have ntsf file for stickmount, it should make it.
As I can see, it is just not mounting, stickmount say it is but not really.
Is there a way to force mount?
Or app that could bring more success?
Oh so now, with nexus media importer i can acess my disk read only mode.
Better than nothing
Still accepting ideas.

F2FS - External SD problem

In Temasek's CM11 Rom he introduced F2FS filesystem in his rom.
I formatted my EXTERNAL SDCARD to F2FS, but now in CM12, F2FS isnt availble yet.
So now im here, with my F2FS which CANT be mounted by my ROM. I can still see the contents within recovery because the recovery can mount f2fs.
But both my Mac OSX and Windows PC cant mount F2FS or i dont know how.
I have really important data on my EXT SDCARD so i really like to know how i can mount the external SDCARD(f2fs) on Windows or mac.
Or better, a converter that converts F2FS to FAT or something else..
Thanks in advance!
METHOD 1
F2fs is included in the Linux kernel.
Download a Linux live disk (e.g. ubuntu or knoppix) and copy all data over to your local hard drive.
Format the SC to fat32 with GParted (its included in ubuntu live disk)
Copy back your files
METHOD 2
Connect a USB flash drive (larger then your extSD) to your n9005 via and USB otg cable.
In cwm chooose custom backup to USB
Choose extSD only
Format your extSD back to ext4 in recovery
Restore your backup (custom restore backup from USB)
Hope this helps.

Ntfs support

What rom have ntfs support for Galaxy A5?
Why this question? NTFS sucks
Why this answer? You tested ntfs on link2sd based? If no , test first

NTFS is (still) the best file system both on security and file recovery, even it is made by Microsoft.
I tried to read NTFS pen drives on USB but I did not succeed. Neither to read/write sdcard formatted NTFS.
Try Paragon NTFS , is a paid app.

sgs4 I9506 exfat read only

I have a galaxy s4 I9506 (lollipop 5.0.1 - original rom), rooted via cf- autoroot. The problem I have is that usb flash drives formatted in exFAT are read-only. (It was the same before root). I tried using stickmount but there was no difference. Is there a way to enable rw on usb flash drives formatted in exFAT (I'm not interested in using Paragon software).
Thanks
fixed it
Took me some time but i found a solution. I used Stickmount, SElinux mode changer and also placed "mount.exfat-fuse" on the USB flash drive.
I used Solid explorer but it may work with other file managers too.

Enable NTFS & exFAT support without Paragon Software.

So here's a quick solution to mount NTFS & exFAT via OTG or microSD without paid Paragon software.
Works without any app and with any file explorer that has otg support hassle-free .
[ROOT REQUIRED]
head over to this - thread.
download the attached file there, named "exfat-ntfs-patch-mtk.zip " and flash it via TWRP, you now have native NTFS & exFAT support.
I tested with 128GB exFAT USB drive and 1TB NTFS external HDD, works flawlessly.
Important : You have to enable init.d support on your rom(I enabled it using Kernel Adiutor app) .
You can find all required files for rooting the Elephone S8 at:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/k1ldc..._root.rar/file
I hope this helps.
