Hi,
Was running CM11 on my GS4. I want to go completely back to stock however I'm hitting issues with it.
Downloaded the 02UK firmware file from Samware, flashed it in Odin, did a wipe before and after. Takes a while to boot in each time, sometimes needs a battery pull etc.
Now, I can load up fine - however no matter what I try, wifi won't turn on, a lot of the time signal will drop/ turn off when I lock the screen. Have tried flashing 4.2.2 as well, exactly the same and on the latest flash noticed as issue with the recovery, won't allow a data wipe/ partition in recovery, just flashes something red and then reboots.
I know this has probably been asked a milion times before. But hoping someone can help me get back to stock without the issues!

Mind giving as More information about this Phone? Such as Model,baseband,Stock roms your were trying to flash and Etc . Cuz we cannot help you If you were like " Help my Phone got No wifi etc." LOL If your asking for help atleast Provide us more Information and such . thank you.

Yep - it's the i9505, baseband is 19505XXUBMEA and build number is JDQ39.I9505XXUBMF8.

Your having a signal issue because you need to flash a diffetent modem mate. And that should fix ur problem on signal issue . Do you mind booting into download mode and check if iy say the entry knox warranty void. Thanks

Currently 4.2.2 as I read the 4.3 update had caused some of these issues (although I want to be on stock 4.3.
I did notice after I posted that the baseband was for German phones (no idea how that got on there). So I flashed the a new modem and baseband is now at I9505XXUEMK8 which is supposed to be the correct one (if not please advise!?). However Wifi still not working. Tried the wifi fix file for the baseband, didn't work, also tried the root /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant rename fix. Didn't work.
Are you able to tell me which Stock Rom/ Modem etc to flash or anything else to try??

Try to find the right Stock rom from here that base in your country mate and flash it via odin . Like i told you if you boot into download mode and check if there is knox void warranty? If you dont have that flash inly 4.2.2 stock rom but if you see that then feel free to flash a stock 4.3
Ok - So I have flashed the UK 4.3 BTU rom (Jss15J.I9505XXUEMKF) and have a baseband of I9505XXUEMK8 (which was the O2 one). Signal is fine no issues etc.
Still Wifi won't turn on though.
What do I need to do for this bit??
EDIT: As per your last post, I have no idea about Knox? I didn't see anything show up on download mode.

Well I told you if you dont have an Entry of Knox Warranty Void when you boot into download mode then flash the 4.2.2 Stock rom :S But you already flashed the 4.3 so you can no longer downgrade to 4.2.2 ... Can you please Dial *#1234# and write it down somewhere . and then Download this Wifi Fix and flash it Via odin and After reboot still did not work then Try to download and extract this file and Flash the .tar Via odin by selecting Phone/CP And if this file did not work after flashing then please feel free to play one of the wifi fix from Here Start's from MK9 until MKE might fix your issue.

EDIT - What about the Rom issues itself? I haven't had a chance to test everything, but I can't make calls. It calls the person but the screen freezes blank and then flickers. Should I reinstall the rom first or use another?

Do you mind dial *#06# if you have the right imei (dnt type ur imei here) and dial *#1234# and write it down here pls . And try to do a factory reset and wipe cache in rexovery before you flash anything.

IMEI is the same, except for an extra /1 on the end?? Rest as follows;
AP I905XXUEMKF
CP I9505XXUEMK8
CSC I9505BTUEMK5
Tried everything from you earlier post except going through the final wifi fix versions. Nothing has worked so far though....
I'm in pretty much the boat.... I was using Omega ROM 4.3 but wanted to go back to Stock unrooted firmware.
I flashed Stock 4.3 (XXUEMKF to be precise - both Baseband and Build) using Odin 3.04
Now I cant turn wifi on
When I go into Download mode I dont have any KNOX lines and my Binary is Custom not stock!!!
Don't want to mess things up anymore than I already have by trying to flash everything under the sun!!!!
Back to using my faithful Note 2 for the time being then I guess!!!

I tried to flash different modem to fix a small wifi issue I had which eventually worked.
But since then my sound just died and I cant make calls either. It seems to be related to the sound issue.
I was on slimrom 4.3.1 and then tried to format the sd-card and wipe cache, data, system etc. to start over. Still not working
I then tried flashing CM11 but it didn't change everything
I'm worried that something is wrong with my bootloader as I cannot use the *1234#. It just says: "connection problem or invalid mmi code"
When I'm in download mode I cant see anything about my knox warranty status. It says 0x30 instead.
Im currently downloading stock firmware and will start over but Im thinking theres an easier solution and that someone might have the answer

Download and Flash this file via odin by Selecting Phone/CP . and tell me if it works

Wifi functionality and issues have nothing to do with modem. Modem only affects to voice gsm calls and 2G, 3G and 4G data. Reflash again your original modem and try to fix your wifi problem by other way.

Hey OP / kasperwo - did this work?? I'm having the same issues. Repulsa helped me before (thanks again) but then I went and flashed a different rom and the same problem came back. i think there was an underlying issue that basically was "covered by a bandaid" and which reappeared after flashing a new rom (CM11 i think)
so after all this i downloaded the stock german 4.4.2 leak, wifi stopped working, lost root access.
Then was able to flash Philz Touch recovery, re rooted using that, then flashed a different rom (wanamLite) and still no wifi etc
Last night it was reading:
AP: I9505XXUFNA5
CP: I9505XXUFNA5
CSC:I9505XXUFNA5
Its all the same now except
CP: I9505XXUFNB8
Any help is much appreciated

try to reflash the stock 4.4.2 stock FNB8 rom again , or try to flash the BL on wanam

DAY 1: My phone bootloops when i flashed a modem. So I flashed a firmware base on my country (Philippines N9005XXUEND6). I used odin 3.09 for flashing, did check the FRESET TIME, AUTOREBOOT, AP BOX and BOOTLOADER UPDATE.. It was successful but on the homescreen, "setup wizard has stopped" flashes on screen so I factory reset via stock recovery, then it runs ok.. Set up is done,. But another problems are:
1. entering camera, it shows black screen then says "warning: camera failed".
2. entering the phone dialler it takes seconds to respond
3. music is freezes
4. unlocking the phone it takes seconds to open
5.wakelock takes seconds also to respond
6. no sound
N9005XXUEND6 is the firmware I flashed.
DAY 2: I flashed a different firmwares XXUEND5, XXUENB4, but i notice that i after flashing, no setup wizard in the homescreen. It is the same settings,wallpaper and i have the messages and conversations in my inbox. It looks like the firmware didnt update but i look up in the baseband and build version it does change.. A friend of mind says that after flashing a firmware setup wizard must pop on the screen but mine doesnt.HELP ME MASTERS.. Im losing hope..
I cant figure out the problem, my drivers is installed, i have the firmwares, odin 3.09, and all required tools for flashing
please help me masters.. I did trying reflash the firware and do the reset, the problem persist.. thanks in advance
I have a similar problem, but I think yours is much more simpler hopefully
You find the data unchanged because you didn't do a factory reset
To do so, turn off your phone then open recovery mode by pressing VOLUME+, HOME & POWER buttons together until it opens
Choose Wipe Data/ Factory Reset --> Yes
then reboot your phone
My phone turned out to have a RAM problem and still haven't fixed it, it will cost me a lot especially that I voided my warranty because I rooted the phone

If you could fix it don't forget to tell us about it
BTW I found a post online that says the problem could be due to separated camera from the motherboard
So if you don't have warranty as myself you should get it to maintenance service and tell them to check the camera

What is your Knox Warranty Void status ?
if it's still 0x0, you should send it to Samsung service

Hey, did you burn plywood the correct version of rum for your device? Moreover, you must make fool wipe, what version you had before making the root? That if there is a 4.3 to try to go back to 4.4.2

You said you tried updating the firmware of your region and the problem persists .. You should let someone flash the software using a BOX (not just using odin) (preferably go to Samsung)
if it's not solved then it's most probably a hardware problem .. I didn't drop my phone either but that's not necessary

Hello guys what is described up is happening same to me ... tryied to update firmware from sammobile with a stock firmware Vodafone Romania and Odin show me some new lines when it updates like NON NHUL and a TGZ ZT etc ... suddenly failed to update .. and the phone freezed ... messagge was FAILED to update .. I did a restart and the two comps showed and the text : failed to upgrade firmware etc etc ... try use emergency firmware update trough kies ... restarted V Down +home +power : ) tryied to reinstal my fisrt NC2 Poland firmware succeded but
1. no sound
no camera
no music I guess That is a problem with the new Firmware ?Q? Probably we can ask MR. Chainfire or someone hwo knows ? I tryied all things ... but nothing happened even to restore data from kies /backup/trough Odin reflash old backup with TRP/CWM.
ANY ADVISE ? Never download even from sammobile or sammupdate if they say is ok if you never saw someone hwo succes
NEWS : I've noticed that suddenly when try to update again my Note3 shows only one language Chinese , probably becouse this new update NF at the end is for chinese exinos ????

Bugs : No sound yet ...but i can acces settings sounds

When i receive a call the phone shows answer/reject mode ..when i answer the phone become black screen amd keep vibrate.
Trying to call ...the phone call wizard has stoped wait/stop.
Things solved : Again can send and receive sms/mms
Camera works again and flashes
Sec android wizard works ...
Pit file euro open worked. I'm still having problems .
I checked. Again to see ...i tryied to install a singapore firmware nf6 I guess that was the problem.

I saw now the CSC is XSP this is the only prb but also is csc free no bloatware.also you can root back again and you can restore your old settings except :
1. CSC settings and APP settings that camed with your original firmware
2. when insert your sim back you will be notified to update internet settings to your provider ( for me Vodafone RO) , you can change them back to google.com . is ok THX for your apreciation.
I tried flashing the stock firmware and now I keep getting the Note 4 logo going on and off every 5 seconds. Tried flashing 2 other roms and both show a failed sign on Odin when they reach hidden.img. I can still reach download mode and recovery mode though. I've also tried installing the stock firmware via Kies and its still stuck in the bootloop.
if you have flashed CM13 from RaymanFX build 8 or higher recently then you have a corrupt IMEI and that causes the BootLoop
also check if the C-roms or stock one are for SM-N910H and not C model , bcuz there are also bootloops caused by Modem , goodluck

I had build 10 from Rayman's CM 13 before this. Is there a way I can fix it? The one I downloaded was for N910H. I even tried one from Kies. Thanks for the reply

there are around 3 fixes available for downgrading from cm13 to Stock 5.1.1 you can find them in page 2 i suppose
be warned to make a fully fully backup from IMEI before you try the fixes , i just did the trials and it was successful but forgot to backup , now having dm-verity failed everytime i turn N4 on. godspeed

I can't seem to find it, could you please link me? Also can I apply these fixes even though my phone is stuck in a bootloop?
The bootloop is gone but I can't connect to my network. I couldn't backup the IMEI file because the phone was completely wiped.

Without the imei, you cannot use the phone for any cellular activities like sms, calls and mobile data. Also, editing imei is considered illegal so you will not find any methods to restore it here.

HOW TO SOLVE THE " DM-VERITY VERIFICATION FAILED NEED TO CHECK DRK FIRST " or when i install a stock rom this one first appears bUt not in reCovery " DEVICE DOESNT HAVE DRK , INSTALL DRK " ????????
it all happened after i deleted my imei then succesfully restored it with backup when downgrading from that god forsaken CM13 made by raymanFX (it was build 8 i think) , now OTAs and Security patches all face this issue in recovery when installing after being downloaded , now im in middle of nowwhere with no backup and ive tried everything but none works and im not a hacker nor an information thief just a member waiting for HELP... (SM-N910H)

Someone told me that i need to find a cert file for my Phone and i found it , how is it related to DRK and what should i do with it??
Whatever happens to the phone, if the phone turns on, doesnt have any hardware issue it can be revived.
The universal method is flashing stock firmware through odin
Download your country's note 4 firmware from sammobile and flash it through odin
Works most of the time

yeah. try flashing samsung stock firmware with odin. have you done it

YEP Odin flash is most of the time a good fix.

well . odin was the first thing to try i have gone even far far away from odin and non works . but a video on youtube got my attention , a guy with a s6 edge had this problem and fixed with some sort of software (i attached it) , a friend of mine says that its sth called BOX and i dont understand him !https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlMQQPpqELI

The same occurred for my LG G3 D855 which has erased its IMEI just for trying 'restore upgrade errors' in the LG mobile support tool. From that onwards I have firmly decided not to flash manually in any way except when official upgrades / uupdates are released via KIES or via OTA update.
Please do not flash by your own as it is always risky. It is not a PC where you can take out the affected hard disk and fix it in a working PC and backup the data.
To all manual flashing persons :
If your phone succeeds in manual flashing, donnot brain wash others to do the same. Not all persons always do R & D in android like you.

Thanks for the reply but the main problem is that any OTA that comes to note 4 i download them and the device says to restart to recovery to install the Update and i say yes but when it goes to recovery the recovery wont function well since it shows dm-verity error and supported API : 3 the update process fails to complete . My imei is as cool as always i havent had a problem with IMEI since i bought the phone
at least 10000 people have note 4 and none has had the problem ???? REALLY ?

dear chappati , according to that video i need a physical thing which is called a BOX and a software called GC PRO because that guy had my problem and fixed it with a clicking , but im reasearching for 5 months and nothing comes out . i need information PLZ
Hi, i used to had that problem too, when i first flash a custom rom to my N910G i back up my stock rom.. everthing including EFS.. after that then i wipe everything like normal procedure when u flash a rom. till then 1 day i wanna go back to stock rom i accidentally ticked EFS while i wanna restore that stock rom back up and then i thought it was nothing serious until i flash stock rom with odin and when i boot into stock recovery that dm-verity message was shown, did so much research but no luck. my n910G was on a Singapore firmware, that time it had a update i just try my luck by downloading the latest SG firmware and then that message was gone! m now already on MM no problems like that anymore
