[Q] MY HTC WILDFIRE bricked

i rooted my mobile using alpharev and it turned my s-off and installed clockwork recovery mod 3.0.0.6 ,later i downloaded cynogen mod 7, and while updating it hung on now it is not at all booting it just shows htc in boot screev and reeboots again and again pls help me
Go back into recovery, wipe data and cache and the reflash CM7
Its definitely not bricked, so dont worry. Firstly, make sure you have wiped all data in Clockworkmod (Wipe Data / Factory Reset Option, Wipe Cache Partition also Format /system under Advanced). Once you have done this, try reflashing the CM7 ROM File. It should work. Reboot into Recovery by turning off your phone, pressing Vol Down + Power, Navigating to Recovery, and Pressing Power Button on it.
If it still fails, it would be better to use an updated version of Clockworkmod Recovery. This solved the bootloop issue for a few users.

Please don't multi post. Update your Clockworkmod Recovery then. The guide can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14693680
I had nothing but trouble using recorver 3.0.0.6 . Recovery 3.1.0.2 amd 2.5.07 have worked flawless for me though.
could u pls tell me how to update Clockworkmod Recovery , i downloaded ur file but i dont know how to update it
could u pls tell me how to update Clockworkmod Recovery
- First, Download the attachment in that thread, Place it somewhere, like on your C Drive, in a Folder called Fastboot.
- Then, Download the Updated Clockworkmod Recovery (Again linked in that thread). Extract the Recovery.img file from within the Zip file and place it in the Fastboot folder created in the step before.
- Connect your Wildfire to your PC. Turn it off, and turn on in HBoot Mode. (When your phone is switched off, then Press Vol Down + Power Simultaneously. Then, Navigate to Fastboot using the Volume Keys, and Press the Power Button. Your Wildfire is now in Fastboot Mode.
- Then, Open Command Prompt, and put in the following. (I am assuming your folder is created in C > Fastboot)
cd\
cd Fastboot
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
(In the third step, I am assuming that the file name of the updated Clockworkmod Recovery is recovery.img) It will show two steps - Sending Recovery, and Writing Recovery. After this is done, your phone has the newer version of Clockworkmod Recovery and you can flash the ROM all over again and test.

Command Prompt is to be opened on your Windows PC. Not on your mobile. Once you have entered into Fastboot Mode and your Wildfire is connected to your PC, thats all you need to do.
Open Start Menu. Then Select Run. Then type "cmd" (Without Quotes) and Press Enter. This will open the Command Prompt. Then follow what I said before.
(Note - If your folders name is fast boot, then replace fastboot in the commands above with fast boot. It's basically the name of your folder).
Rename the IMG file you extracted to Recovery.img, it will typing the command easier.
Lastly, my only request to you - Make only 1 post at a time. Others here are normal members and not someone with the full day free . When you continuously post something, its frustrating to read and I dont feel like replying anymore to that person.

Dont worry about it. That was just my view.
Anyway, I hope the folder creation was correct. I hope that when you extracted the Android Win Tools folder into your C:\Fastboot folder, you deleted the original folder?
ie:, In your Fastboot folder, you shouldnt have any other folder/sub folder, and it must contain only these 4 files:
- adb.exe
- AdbWinApi.dll
- AdbWinUsbApi.dll
- Fastboot.exe
Once you have ensured this, then make sure you enter Fastboot mode on your Wildfire Correctly.
- Start HBoot mode
- Then Plug in the USB Cable
- Press Power Button, then another set 4 Options will appear, the first being Fastboot
- Then Press Power Button again
After this, try running the commands in command prompt again. Let me know how it goes.
And it you still face any issues with fastboot flashing, then see my sign for the post link to complete guide. Go there and download attached pc49img.zip and put it on your root of memory card (formatted previously with fat32 partition) . Then reboot to hboot menu to update the recovery. That's all.

Great, Hope they were followed by the words "OK". If so, you have the new Recovery 3.2.0.0 on your Wildfire.
Getting the hang of Fastboot is very important IMO. It helps flashing Recoveries in 1 go, and, also helps restoring Nandroid Restores, among many other features. I am glad you have experienced it, and, not gone the "PC49IMG" way.

[SOLVED]problem

i followed these instructions...
STEP 1: Installing LK Bootloader & Recovery
(If you have already installed a NAND version, you can skip the haret boot part, but it is very important to flash the new bootloader from lk-photonic-pc.rar!! It contains important changes for wifi calibration!)
1. Download all files for NAND (see downloads)
2. Extract lk-photonic-pc.rar to somewhere on your PC
3. Copy update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-photonic-KANG-signed.zip and the content of lk-photonic-sd.rar archive to the root of your sdcard and run HaRET from your device
4. The device should boot to the fastboot prompt. Connect the USB cable
5. If your connecting your phone for the first time to your pc you have to install drivers from the folder you have just extracted.(See also here) You can see it in your windows notification bar if you were sucessful. Be sure to have already run haret and already being in fastboot console on the device when installing drivers! If you are sill having problems to connect to the device via fastboot try installing HTC Sync (from htc website)
6. Enter the Fastboot-folder on your pc (the one you have extracted) and run bootloader.bat
7. The device should reboot now, when white "HTC" Bootscreen appears press "Volume down" and hold it until you have entered fastboot console again. If you have been too slow plug-out/in the battery and try again
8. Run recovery.bat on your host pc
9. Device should reboot again, now on HTC Bootscreen press and hold "Volume up" until you have entered CWM Recovery
[\quote] after stage 6 phone just freezes and then comes up with device unable to boot press vol up to reset device. it is on htc hd mini please help

Honor 7 keeps booting into twrp.

Hi,
I have rooted my honor 7. All went well until I INSTALLED Quick Boot ( Reboot ) . I tried to see if I can get into recovery mode. The cell phone turned off came into recovery mode, but now I can not go out of recovery mode. Tried everything but mobile go back to recovery mode. Please help me.
Thanks in advance

Sorry if am i in wrong thread.
I don't know where the flag is set to tell the bootloader which mode to boot into. But I'd say this flag is probably stuck...
If you've tried all the options in TWRP's [Reboot] section (Reboot bootloader/system/recovery/poweroff) with no success, then your only option is to flash full stock
thnx for your reply. Problem solved
here is the solution
Step 1: Press Volume down - and Power Button For 10 seconds ( fastboot mode: ) while connect the USB cable from your device to your computer.
open the PC command line window, enter the ADB installation directory, make sure your phone and PC is connected,
Than type : fastboot devices
and than: type fastboot reboot
Thnx n hope this post will help other.
I Love XDA. thnx again:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Doesn't work for me the original recovery won't recognize adb device so here i have done this:
1) Flash a custom rom Oos based via twrp (i've done this with freedomos) DO NOT REBOOT phone after flash
2) Flash original OxygenOs firmware provided by oneplus site DO NOT REBOOT phone, not yet
3) Put original recovery in your sd card from your pc via twrp (if you don't already have it)
4) Install original recovery from twrp
5) After that, reboot to recovery and you should have the op original one, perform a factory reset via recovery
6) try starting device, if everything works you can finally re-lock bootloader (only if you want)

Help! I tried to do the sideload but in my powershell window says "loading: 'update.zip' *cannot read 'update.zip'* " I don't know what's the problem, my computer can detect my phone with "adb devices" and "fasboot devices" so that's not the problem
Reason for that is adb on Windows can't read large files as it's not Large Address Aware, I'll get the article I use that has a tool that enables that when I get home, it's basically a small program you need to run that enables that functionality.

[Z00ED]Can't install twrp .img in order to root

Hi There.
Maybe a newbie problèm but in order to unlock bootloader and Root my device, can't install the twrp.img file on cmd i can reboot on fastboot mode but fastboot boot twrp-......IMG still getting me no such a file...
I've checked and reinstalled drivers by autorised unsigned drivers, when i look on my Android adb device all seems good..
Any ideas?
Fastboot boot twrp.img enter see your phone load in to twrp mode .. then restart using twrp . After boot . Agin go fastboot mode and type fastboot flash recovery twrp .img (u can drag this file also if u want or manualy typing as u wish) . Enter and wait few sec. Its finish. Then type fastboot reboot (remembar before hiting entar tap volume down switch then hit entar). Now u feel viberet and see twrp logo . Then go wipe advanced wipe tik the ASDF swipe to conform. And then restart ur phone.... congarts u have succesfully install twrp ... enjoy .
THX it s more clear i ll try and let u know
First of all download the app TWRP from play store . Then download the latest version of twrp from there .
Then you have to unlock your bootloader by using the app unlock device tool . After unlocking the bootloader go to developer option and enable USB debugging . After that connect your laptop or PC to your mobile . An option will come on your screen to allow debugging to the device . Allow it permanently . Then open adb (I hope you have installed it otherwise download and install it Just google it download adb ) After installing open C drive and then go to adb . Then open command prompt there by pressing cntrl shift and right click . there will be an option to open command prompt there . After opening just type adb devices there in the command prompt it will show your device serial no. Then move the twrp file from your mobile to PC and to adb folder . Then rename it to recovery .
Then switch off your mobile and open fastboot mode by pressing power button and volume up button . then go to the command prompt you have opened before . type there fastboot devices . it will show your device serial no. Then type Fastboot flash recovery recovery. Img then wait for some time after the processing gets over in there . then switch off the mobile by removing battery and switch on to recovery mode by pressing power button and volume down button . Congrats twrp has been installed successfully in your device . You will see twrp window. If this works then thumbs up
