[Q] page buddy (headphone apps) - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On 4.4.2 when I plugged in headphones I got this little notification bar that showed me my most used apps when I had headphones plugged. Very nice, I liked that. But since I upgraded to 5.01 it still comes up with the notification bar, but the apps are not relevant anymore, ie it doesn't show my most used apps, but the default ones.
I'm sure I'm missing something, but I just don't see it.
Note: I did remove bloatware and I'm fearing I may have accidentally removed a relevant apk, but I did check in system/priv-app and it definitely shows PageBuddyNotiSvcK.apk, which I presume to be the service need for this feature.

App icons left after uninstall (rooted phone)

After rooting the phone, some of the carrier applications that come standard were deleted (which is nice)
Problem is the icons are still there on the application list Like O2 and RAN.

Update Notifications

I got a notification that 7 apps had updates (on notification bar). I clicked on it and it just listed the apps. I checked the Play store and Amazon, and neither had apps to be updated. Where is this notification coming from?
Is the notification repeating? Not sure myself but you should put what ROM you are using and maybe ask in the thread that is relevant to your ROM , you may have a better response there
This happens on my N7 as well now and again, once you highlight the app in question the update icon goes so it's not a big deal.

[Q] help "screen" not showing on battery status graph?

hi there guys
i have been moving bloatware from my i9500 with the help of this thread and the apps that are mentiond here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258952
, i didnt remove all of them only some but seems like one of the apk i have removed has been glitching my phone.
since removing them when i go to phone settings --> more ---> battery i can no longer see the "screen icon" showing how much % screen is taking, im not sure if the screen icon there dissapeard or has been replaced or merged with "android os" icon, i suspect that because before , i remeber screen icon was taking most battery usuage and now its android os (33-34%) wich was much lower before (12-13%?) when screen icon was showing
can any one help me with my problem please? could this problem be related to one of the apks i have removed? i mostly removed the usual bloatware (flipboard, widgets, chaton and so on, samsung link, samsung push ect...)
thanks in advance!

[Q] How do I remove the Android Wear Connected notification???

How do you remove the annoying Android Wear continuous notification? I hate apps that just sit in the status bar giving useless information like "Connected", if I need to know if it's connected I can just look at the watch!
Samsung Galaxy S5 with Stock and Xposed Framework
LG G Watch
I haven't tested this but maybe this would work for you:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.defim.apk.notifyclean
The icon is needed to always be showing so that the process is never garbage collected and thrown out. The watch software needs to always be running to keep a constant connection with the phone.
I'm not sure about you, but the icon actually doesn't show up in my status bar minimized, but it does show when I pull the status bar down which is fine with me.
I thought I would try hiding with gravitybox but I couldn't find it listed. I would prefer not to have it listed in the dropdown
Long press the notification ,then you will see the ''application's notification'' , enter it,then cancer the notification
Thanks all, I really appreciate the help!

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) Not Accepting Themed AODs Anymore

Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) on Android 7.0 w/ Samsung Themes v4.0.98.80319
Until recently, one of my options for the Always On Display was to use what came with a theme (for those that supplied AODs). If I selected something else, that option disappeared; however, I could get it back simply by re-applying the theme.
Without warning my AOD changed to the default and I lost the themed option in the AOD settings. Reapplying, or even deleting/ reinstalling doesn't give me the themed option back.
What's changed? Or has an updated somewhere meant that I now have to grant a permission somewhere (which I haven't found yet)?
Suggestions appreciated.
Hello,
There were some news posted earlier this month stating that this feature was removed from non flagship devices because it caused problems such as glitching. I remember reading it in the update, but I can't find the update notes from the Galaxy Apps Store.
If you go to settings and then apps, and find the AOD app, tap the three buttons on the upper right corner and tap on uninstall updates.
Hope this helps.
Yep, uninstalling the updates did the trick. Thanks.
