Hi all.
My new Samsung Galaxy S4 doesn't see any WiFi network around it. Not an Encore AP, not a WiFi made with Connectify.me on my laptop, not APs created with other smartphones with Android. Those WiFis are seen by other (rooted) smartphones by Samsung and by my laptop itself.
If I bring up an AP/Hotspot with my Samgung Galaxy S4 other smartphones, even my laptop, can see it an can get connected to it, but my GS4 doesn't see any WiFi network.
Any idea why it is happening?

Maybe a hardware problem? Try for a techeniction

Did you recently upgrade your ROM?
Sorry to ask, just making sure, your WiFi is turned on, right?

I have a stock s4, updated to latest fw. I tried to test wifi tethering but always encounter a device error. Do i need to do anything aside from rooting? TIA

Never mind, it worked after a soft reset.

Hello XDA forum members,
I have searched these forums for the last few days so hopefully I am not wasting anyone's time and this question has not been asked. Is there a way to put CM on the S4 variant below? I have attempted to use CM installer with no success because the device is not supported. I was going to attempt to side load the rom to the phone, but had second thoughts after reading the warning on CM's wiki. I was also unsure which variant to use. I know that the phone is GSM, and that it runs on the AT&T network via straight talk, but beyond that I don't think that the phones software is the same as the actual At&T variant. I would love to have CM on my phone, but I would like to be sure that it will not brick my phone unnecessarily. If anyone knows of any information regarding the installation of CM on this phone, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
rhino08

Hi rhino....any luck with this? I just picked up the phone as well.
Hello,
I have been looking all over for adding WiFI Tether to AT&T Galaxy Note 3 SM-900A on Android 4.4.2. Prefer if root is not required.
Thanks.
Does anybody else out there have a problem using Sidesync 3.0 with their Grand Prime with their Samsung tab? My tab finds the phone the phone says "connecting" then the app on the phone crashes. I have gotten a GS4 to sync up.
