I have Galaxy Note 4...on Stock Lollipop BOC5.....
I search almost the Google as I can as possible To find the solution but I couldn't find Relevant info......or May be my Searching words can be wrong To find out the issue....
Please tell me Is there any App or Customization or MOD like in Xposed(I know Xposed is currently Not Compatible with TW 5.x.x Roms but for future....) or anything Else that we Can use In Android To Select OR have Option either To select the Contacts Number or Contacts Name To Be shown Only or Both In Stock Messaging App....
or Any Other Messaging App That Provide this Option????

I am asking since it looks like it has been removed from Omega ROM and possibly put on bloatware its list but I was not given an answer putting the question in Omega ROM thread. I was also trying to find the answer using google search but I was unsuccessful. Could any1 help me out please?

hello. the first phone i don't find sms app in options.... i checked in apps in use, apps system and app installed but isn't there!!! i checked names default com.xxxxx but don't find no icon or name!!

There's no individual application for messaging in our device, it's implemented into the Huawei Contacts app, what you can find here: system/priv-app/Contacts/Contacts.apk

newbie here. my mother has an MI A1 running ANDROID ONE version 8.1.0 (security patch level - 1st november 2018).
she has a banking app which requires some permissions to be set manually, for it to function, so she searched the phone thoroughly but cant find the "OTHER PERMISSIONS" menu item anywhere. can anyone tell me where to find them?
PS. i can find the same in my REDMI NOTE 4 running MIUI version global stable 11.0.2.0 (NCFMIXM) but not in my mother's phone, because google has changed the menu layout in oreo. please help me.

Goto settings
Search for 'permissions'
Open 'App level permissions'
Open '> See all'
You should have the banking app in the list and set required permissions.
BTW: Android One and MIUI never had exact same settings menus...
cannot find the required permissions in that list
thank you JockeSve, but i cannot find the "RUN IN BACKGROUND" / "DISPLAY POPUP WINDOWS WHILE RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND" in that list. am i missing something? i can find these permissions with verbatim words in other android phones. please check the screenshot in the link in my OP. any solution? thanks in advance
