50 tips and tricks! - Galaxy S6 Edge General

most are for the Edge, some are for the S6 too, but you will definitely find this video interesting...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvnUXs0scTs

I was almost thinking of posting this myself, watched it the other day and he did pull a few out I hadn't seen yet.

yep, there were a couple that I hadn't seen yet either, plus for folks just getting the phone now, its a good place to see a lot of tweaks all in one easy video..

Time for a new phone.

Well my time has come for a new phone, right now i am on the mt3g. I am debating between the and the nexus one, but I am leaning towards the vibrant. So, how have you liked the vibrant? and for anyone out there that has a n1 and the vibrant, which do you like better?
Thanks for your feedback.
I struggled with making a decision but it comes down to the vibrant has a 16g of storage, plus covered under a less hassle warranty, and i love it and the battery life so far. it ran all night under wifi with virtually no battery drain, porn comes up super quick.
I have both. The N1 is having it's plug pulled... the Vibrant expects 10M sold and is incredibly fast and rooted.
Pretty easy choice! You will love it....
Thanks guys.
That's what is turning me off from the N1, is you have to jump through hoops to get it. the vibrant has awesome specs, and i can have it within minutes. anything you dont like about the phone? how does it feel? i guess i need to run to tmo today and play around with it, but i know if i do i will come home with a new toy.....that's not necessarily a bad thing...
I don't like the GPS. Takes forever to lock and is usually around 10 meters (35 feet) precision.
My G1 is always around 4 meters precision.
That's weird my gps works perfectly
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I used the GPS last night to show my speed while driving last night.. it locked on quick and the Speed display was spot on.... no complaints here.
With Android GPS I noticed is if you do a "cold start" (GPS is turned of and you turn it on) it takes a little longer. If you do a "warm start" (GPS is turned on but idle) it picks up a lot faster.
Definitely go with the Vibrant. Watch this video to see why:

Keep in mind that the Captivate is the same Galaxy S hardware as the Vibrant, just for AT&T.

Sold my Anna for this. You can't imagine how much lighter this thing is, how screen is better and bigger. I can't believe I am saying this.... I like touch wiz! Phone is really fast, awesome.
What I don't like? Like all phones these days, bloat! You can remove it though, and custom roms should get rid of it. Also, no camera flash, bleh.
thanks for the feed back guys. I went to tmo the other day, played around with the phone........I was amazed at how light and awesomely fast it is. Can't wait to get it.
One thing i noticed though is there was a little lag coming from a program back to home, my mytouch3g with cm5 was much faster, obviously that's not a fair comparison, and who knows what they had installed and running on the store demo phone, but I'm wondering if any of you have noticed any kind of lag back to the home screen?
As I'm sure you already have looked through the vibrant forums, make sure to go through the "tips and tricks"sticky. Its well put together and will address must if not all your questions and concerns.
As far as my personal experience I would give this phone a 90% approval rating. Using old android tricks to save battery and being patient has brought me to really appreciate the phone. Of course there are things that need to be addressed but no one short of the devs and/or froyo will have a fix, if they even have a fix.

+1, go with the Vibrant.
I had an N1...it's cool and all but not as cool as the Vibrant. To me it was a no brainer.
That video was pretty awesome...the Galaxy S makes the others look like atari when it comes to gaming. Well and I'm sure in other areas too...screen etc...as you can see in the video.

No lag here.
I'm very curious as to what people are talking about when it comes to lag. I've owned many smart phones and trust me I know what lag is. iPhone anyone? Lag central...
I have had NO lag whatsoever on my phone. You press a button and it pops up. Boom. Just like that.
So when people are referring to lag on the Vibrant, it's either they got a F#$%ed up lemon or too much porn...jk...you get the point. What the H3ll are they putting on the phone that's causing this "lag?" I don't get it...
Also, keep in mind that the demo Vibrant phones in the store have that demo video / advertising stuff on there...it could be the reason for what you experienced.
The wife got me the vibrant for my bday yesterday, I get it today! words cannot describe how excited i am! as we speak (12:00 mst) it sits in the ups box on my front porch. I am just waiting for lunch time (12:30 mst) to roll around so i can mozy on home and pick up my new toy!
double WOOT!!
^ haha, awesome man. I do encourage you to browse the sticky if you have not already. Hope it helps and let us know your impressions, or if you have questions not addressed in the sticky, post them here or PM me.
............My jaw is still on the floor, I LOVE this phone its amazing. Touch wiz isn't as bad, IMO, as i thought it was going to be. Absolutely no lag going back to home like i experienced with the store demo.
Next step is getting it rooted to remove some of this samsung/tmo bloatware.
Overall it is very light, very thin, perfect sized screen, VERY fast....I am happy with my purchase.

The I <3 my sgs2 thread

Just really getting tired of all these silly threads coming up on how someone has the most minute problem with this Zeus of a phone and needs to bash bash bash. I wanted to create a thread where users can post on the things that make them love their sgs2.
For me its the 1080p video recording. Just installed the modded camera apk from the Dev section and took a video. WOW am I impressed.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
I agree. Really impressed by the device. Using it for 3 weeks now and it never failed. Coming from Milestone, this is heaven.
I was thinking of starting a similar thread. With every person with an issue posting a crisis thread assuming everyone else is having the same problem the front page looks a horror story. Then the same three people with the issue post a dozen posts, basically to each other, and you have three pages worth of the exact same thing repeated over and over. Then, god forbid you post anything that doesn't support the latest conspiracy theory and you're flamed.
My phone's part of my life - not my life. I don't think that's so for some of my fellow owners. I mean seriously, I know the phone's not cheap, and it's not perfect, but compared to everything out there it's fantastic. Using a car analogy, if the dash lighting on your BMW's not to your liking you suck it up. You don't try to get a gaggle of those that also don't like the dash lighting and attack BMW. Either live with it, trade the car in, and/or never buy another BMW again. The same thing applies to the SGS2. If Samsung does lurk this board we're undoubtedly providing them with tons of laughs as a small percentage of users are ballistic having had the realization the phone wasn't designed specifically for them.
Anyway, I just got back from an extended trip and here's some of the things I really like about the phone:
1) The software's tight. It responds quickly and consistently each and every time. I've had no funkiness turning the various data functions on and off and all the integrated apps work well together just like they're supposed to.
2) As a media device the phone's the best out there. I downloads a bunch of MKV files before the trip and the phone isn't even phased. Web browsing is fast and fluid and I personally like the Media and Reader Hubs.
3) As an audio device the phone's great. I have about 2,000 tracks on it that are DRM protected Rhapsody files and they play flawlessly. The audio output's great for the way I use the phone - through headphones, via Bluetooth, and through the onboard speaker.
4) The phone aspect works well for me. I can hear people clearly and they can hear me both through the handset and Bluetooth. So many new high-end phones suck at being just a phone.
5) I love the screen. The vividness of the colors and blackness of the blacks are unmatched. That especially shines through with videos, pictures, and web browsing.
Well, those are the things that stand out for me. Anything not mentioned doesn't mean I don't like it, they're either not important or functioning as designed. The latter being a good thing.
So to all potential purchasers, take time to read through this forum beyond the crisis posts. The mute majority is actually quite happy with the SGS2.
Everything nothing is bad some can be improved is my view battery display GPS good .

Agree but you must understand many posters love the phone as they cannot get a girlfriend .
Others are not technically minded enough to use the phone the ones who double post dont use search or read faqs must fall in to that category .
Then their are the sad ex Iphone users who need hand holding or HTC who buy a phone without sense ..

Well, I love my SGS2. I can post here It may not be 100% perfect, but no phone is. This device is the best on the Market right now imo, I recommend it to my friends. They really like the screen, the colours and ultra blacks
I seriously couldnt think of anything I dont like. Only thing I hope is developers start optimizing their apps for the Galaxy S II!

LMFAO! that's pretty funny! I actually think they COULD get a girlfriend, but it's easier to invest 600+ euro in a phone, rather than investing 600+ euro in a make over, getting into shape and dating. Lol. I love my phones, a lot. But that has NEVER stopped me from dating hehe.
EDIT: You can always find a way to get both in your life! Like, taking public transport to dates, and then while in the tube / bus / train, you could tinker with your phone ^^
I've bought Samsung Galaxy S 2 few days ago and it's incredible!
Granted, I used to have Touch HD so I don't really have anythin good to compare it to, but anyway, I'm in love with it.
P.S. This is like my second post or something
Have fun
I agree. In fact reading so many threads about issues here and there, I started getting cold feet and became concerned the device would be sub-par. However, its an amazing device.
I love the HD recording. I love that Samsung took issues with the previous Galaxy S series and added new functions. For example, there are now settings to change the touch-key light settings to 1.5s to 6s to always off/on or only in the dark. Nice feature. My battery life is better than I had hoped for and haven't even used the power mode feature which is also a nice feature.
My previous phone was a Captivate with serious GPS issues. The GPS in the SGS2 can get up to 4m-10m accuracy. I take the train everyday and while the Cappy used to show me a few km away on a highway, the SGS2 will actually show me as being on the train tracks with dead on accuracy.
It doesn't overheat, doesn't have any yellow streaks and I love my SGS2
I love being able to do anything within 3 seconds with my SGS2
Me: *click *click "Bring me pizza! Now!"
SGS2: Your wish is my command, sir. Meanwhile, could you please rephrase your voice command?
Me: ArrrRRRrr!

Now this is comforting to hear. Like the man said I was getting cold feet, first the camera issue, now the OELD burnin/yellow issues, people whining about wifi range and battery life.
You'd think this device was a disaster. Yet all the reviews praise the **** out of it. So I was starting to have some doubts about buying it but, it's really nice to see some positive community feedback that goes to show once again that a very loud minority can indeed make you doubt your choices...
Most of these forums are plagued with issues posting because
1. These forums are the easiest location to find solutions for issues. Great gateway to compare experiences (it would be great if people searched and posted in the same topic thread instead of making a new one)
2. It represents a very tiny part of the whole population of owners hence amplifying the issues no matter how many folks are affected by it
3. Most folks won't post unless they run into an issue
As for me. Device has been nothing but stellar
- Great battery life (much better than any other smartphone that i've had and i've had many since the winmo slide out qwerty keyboard device days)
- Improved SAMOLED screen over the last gen and it's noticeably sharper
- Form factor. There is nothing else like it and it's comfortable in my hand and my pocket
- Quickness. There is nothing really slowing down the device at all.
- WIFI - Reception is better than my galaxy s and gets better throughput than any other wifi device that i own except my computer
- Cell reception - My apartment is located next to the water and i don't get great reception in certain parts of my apartment and i get much better reception - four to three bars of hspa+!!! (I get dropped calls with my verizon bb sometimes and none for the gsii yet)
- Comes with gingerbread from the factory and updated constantly
My honeymoon period is over and there are certainly few things that they could have improved on but i'm glad i got the gs2 on the launch day.

Ah ah, best answer ever
Good thread. I also would like some issues to be resolved, but we all should understand one thing - with increasing complexity of devices, there will be some issues. It is bound to have certain compatibility issues with zillions of different types of formats used. There will always be some compromise made by OEM on what to put in the device - cost vs features vs weight vs thickness Etcetera...
For those who see everything in negative light, I have a solution.
deeply in love with sgs2
Its good to see some love instead of all the usual gripes and moans...
I came from an HD2 and wasnt expecting this phone to completely replace it, but it has. The HD2 is in a drawer and I dont see it coming out for a while. Feel kinda bad for it.. lol
Im loving the readers hub, saves me getting off my lazy ass to go to the newsagents that and the mind blowing speed, gorgeous screen etc etc....
Very happy with my SGS2

Post your personal S6E reviews

:highfive: congrats to those who have it early.
so tell us what you think about it, the feel on the hand, how fragile does it look and feel (is it slippery like the sony phones with glass, grippy?) , hows the performance of the camera, screen, battery, etc.
It's only been half a day but my early impressions are as follows,
-Fingerprint scanner is wicked fast.
-Screen is beautiful
-It is fast fast fast. I love Samsung devices and I admit that lag was always an issue. I have not been able to slow it down yet. Really I havent. Lol. Even the recent app switcher is fast.
-Like the themeing a lot. I can't wait for more themes.
-Feels good on the hand. The edge does make it a bit different to hold but I love the curved screen. Makes using the phone a pleasure.
-I have only taken a couple pictures but they turned out great. More on that later.
I'm sure I'll have more as the days pass..
I played with the phone in a T mobile store. For about 20 minutes battery was down to 93% from 100%.,Power hungry. Could you guys confirm?
Also I found the browser cannot hide the status bar hence no full screen browsing. Please also confirm this?
S6 edge in the bestbuy which is unbranded has no ability to sort the menu alphabetically. But T mobile edge has an option to sort.
You're correct on the status bar. Too early to know on the battery. The option to sort might have come in the software update that dropped today. Not sure though.

Yup, that an Edge, and damn did she slam that hard! Good to know it can survive what she just did, lol.
From a performance point of view there is no doubt in my mind the Edge is going to be great, the only doubt is battery life... I realise its a bit early for conclusions yet but once people have used their phones for a week or so, its the questions that everyone wants answering. Everyone's use patterns are different but as long as I can make it through a heavyish day ok, I'll be happy with that.

It's battery is only 7% less in capacity than S5, so I see no reason why battery life would be extremely different. The screen has higher res, but CPU is much more power efficient.

Yes...still, I'd rather yes some real numbers from someone who actually has the phone. We know very little about its battery performance yet, and I have seen mixed reviews with some saying its good and others poor.
I should just say that I have the phone pre ordered and I'm looking forward to getting it, battery is the only doubt I have...I'd just like to see some numbers and I think most other people would too.

I have pre-ordered it as well, but it is still 2 weeks before shipping. We will all see in due time. People in the US are already getting theirs, so we should have some info within a week as batteries start working normally after a few charges.
Also could you guys confirm available free memory?
I went to Best Buy yesterday to get a look at the S6 edge. Needless to say, I was very impressed. Touchwiz seems lightning fast compared to 4.3 on my S4. The shortcuts and ease of access really convinced me to buy this (when green comes along). The edge display looks absolutely amazing and does, in fact, feel more immersive. I love the metal frame and the new headphone jack location. Basically, this thing looks and feels all-around perfect. The black looks BLACK in person, whereas online it gave me the belief that it was a deep-blue. Don't know if I want to settle for the white 32GB or wait a month or two in hopes of the green appearing.

Eh, you forgot to mention that the screen was actually more efficient, too. Not only is it 14nm, the screen is like 23% more efficient than the screen on the Note 4, iirc.

I was not aware the screen would be more efficient with that much higher resolution, but that is a good thing to know as well. Might mean all this whining about smaller battery size is just for the sake of whining.
Thanks for your answers guys. Today again I walked into Best buy and T mobile stores to do my research more. What I found,
Battery: Yesterday when I played with the phone I suspected it to be Power hungry. But I think I should take it back. Battery is ok not bad after all. I am comparing with my LG G2(has a good battery, 3000mah) and I measured the time it takes to drop every %. S6 takes a little more time than the G2 to drop which tells me the battery is good. Also the picture below. I don't have an S5 so I can't really compare with that. I played a couple of games that were installed on the phone and the battery is still ok. This is by no means a scientific way of measuring, neverthless I wanted to share this with you guys.
Although I have chargers at home, car and work still a good battery(if not the best) gives a sense of confidence. and satisfaction that I have the best phone irrespective of all the breath taking features. Don't you agree?? S6 may not disappoint I believe.
Browser/Browsing: Browsing is a breeze. No sense of lag anywhere. But the status bar doesn't hide which I assume is a part of Lollipop. I would be curious to see if a dev can come up with a mod. A full screen immersive browsing on the S6 's beautiful screen would be super cool.
Youtube/Video: Flawless like its predecessors. Nothing special to mention.
Music: Flawless sound like its predecessors. No distortion. Sound is very clean with the headphones. I listen to a lot of Music and sound quality is very important for me. When I played the music on speaker I felt some vibration I wonder what that is??? I wonder if it is the speaker giving the vibration.
Menu:Arrangement of the apps in the menu is nice and simple although I would prefer the icons to be a little smaller. T mobile phones come with an option to sort alphabetically. AT&T don't have the phone for display yet(Slackers:crying so can't tell. All in all I like this new menu. No complaints.
GPS: I didn't spend a lot of time here but I thought it locked quick enough. Nothing special and no complaints.
Screen Quality : I thought the screen is much better than S5 (in the store) and on par with the note 4. But my G2 has a different color temperature which I believe make whites look a little bluish where as S6 whites are yellowish. To me both are ok. But I really have to admit the additional pixels on S6 make no difference in picture quality (S6 vs G2). Really a 1080p screen would have been enough. To clarify I am not complaining, just my opinion. Viewing angles are good unlike G2 (LG's for that matter).
I have to tell you, normal people passing by with no phone knowledge would stop by and take a glimpse at the edge screen, They all seem to like it. Seems like edge is getting all the attention it deserves.
Build/Design: This is where S6 edge outshines every other phone in the market. In my opinion, till date this the best design ever period. I have seen some complaints about finger prints. It is not bad after all. Looks like white takes less finger prints than others. Excellent build quality and feels solid in hands. Thums up.
Single handed use: It can be used single handed with no issues. Menu is set up for single hand use which I really like. Although my hand is not very big it fit nicely in my hand. Not sure about the non-edge S6. Should be the same.
Speed This is one thing that is very crucial. All android phones I used so far tend to be fast initially but as I go adding/deleting apps and other files phone tends to get laggy. It really gets on my nerves. But even as a brand new phone they stutter at times. But with S6 it is blazing fast. No lag anywhere (at least I did not see). App drawer is a little slow to open. Samsung probably configured it to be slower on purpose. Some might misunderstand it to be a lag, just a heads up. Speed speed speed is what it is.
Camera: I need not specially tell you about the camera. There are expert reviews which claim this to be the best camera. Flawless. Double press on the menu opens the camera in split seconds which is very impressive.
I care less about the heart rate sensor so did not test it. Although I care about finger print scanner I could not test it because it is not my phone.
This is a big leap forward not just for Samsung but for android as a whole.
I was disappointed about the battery yesterday but liked it today and took some time to test all the features. I like the phone, will get one. White Color 32gb. AT&T.

Wondering if anyone else has done this? Traded their tmobile variant of international. I mean I can't complain I got this phone for free but still! I have had no issues with my S7e. I miss my Note 7 but there are no better phones on the market. I've tested tons, always come back to the S7e. The screen is so nice the camera is great and it's water proof.
no real complaints here with mine. I also came from the note 7 as well. The n7 definitely had a more premium feel but this phone isn't all that bad. I haven't rooted mine yet because I haven't seen any roms worth jumping to. so far package disabler pro tweaks is all I have done. I still have my note 7 and I'm not turning in until they release a deadline for a full refund but I hardly use it because the battery life is for crap compared to the s7e.
Good lord, it's just a phone. It does what it is intended to do, and does it very well. Don't like it, plenty of competition out there. Not sure what you hope to accomplish by making yet another thread complaining about lack of options. Real root/unlock is never coming to this device. Live with it or dump it for one of the tens of other good devices out there, and move on with your life.

Wondering if anyone else has done this? Traded their tmobile variant of international. I mean I can't complain I got this phone for free but still! Peaked over at the threads over at our sister phone and man it is packed with roms and kernels etc. Just tired of the sluggish phone. Even on stock it is sluggish.

Try flashing the G935U firmware if you haven't. It seems to run a lot better for most people since it's stripped of all the carrier bloatware. You can then manually flash the modem file from the latest T-mobile firmware to have 256qam enabled.

It does NOT do what it is intended. Unfortunately I was sucker into this downgrade and I can not get another phone. Don't put words into my mouth, I never said there was a lack of options. I am merely posting this thread to anyone looking for the downsides of owning this phone. On stock, its laggy and hot. On a custom rom, it is even more laggy, hot, and if you plan on playing games on the Gear VR, expect about 10 minutes of play before it over heats. I'll take a video of it so you guys can see. There is also severe graphical tearing in Gear VR, while not constant, they happen more often than they should -_-
I'll take a video of it so you guys can see. I h ave a trusty fan next to my computer even ever it gets too hot and I need to cool it.

If I am on Echoe, isn't that the same thing? Or would that firmware with root work better than Echoe?

Part of the reason why I went with the S7 E. I got pampered by my Note 5 and it's discontinuation really threw me off.
I got another S7 E on top of my closet sealed that Tmobile gave me. Not sure if to turn it around and sell it or wait to see if Sammy comes out with any special promotion on a trade in.

I'm not rooted. My understanding is that the only root solutions on the Snapdragon edition require you to use an engineering kernel with poor performance. I'm happy just using Adaway with the stock Samsung browser and I can just live without the rest of the root 'benefits'.

Here's the thing nobody is looking for the downsides of owning this phone. You're looking for people to confirm your opinion and nothing more. Let me be clear, the problems you are having with your phone as you've described are limited to your device. Perhaps you got a bum device. It happens, I did replace mine under warranty for a hardware fault in the AOD and edge clock displays. Perhaps you loaded up your phone with so much garbage that it simply chokes on everything you have running in the background. I don't know and will not claim to know. The root lag and heat are well known issues due to the engineering bootloader. This is explained in the rooting threads here. You went ahead and rooted it knowing this, don't be surprised that you are experiencing issues that are clearly stated will happen if you root.
I have the gear VR as well and the few times I played games on it I had no heat issues or screen tearing issues. None. My phone is stock and exhibits no noticeable lag or heat. I can get 4-5 hours of screen time easily with room to spare. Now, I rarely play games, screen time is work related, but I have never experienced excessive heat when playing high-end games either. Of course I don't use facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat, and whatever other garbage you kids do nowadays.
So my point stands. Don't like this device, get another one. Get one that is easily rootable, get one with stock Android, or whatever you want. But understand that the problems you are having are either the fault of your specific device or your fault. If it's the former, a new device will help. If it's the latter, you should address the underlying issues before screaming about how bad this phone is. But there is no systematic problem in the GS7 line.
Whoa so much tension here. I've had 2 S7 edges and both exhibited some lag here or there. The biggest problem I had with the phone is the inconsistency in its performance and smoothness. With that said, I'm hoping Samsung will do a better job with optimizing Nougat.
this is insane. OP is throwing a fit about his phone being hot and laggy when he has it ROOTED. jesus christ man. this phone isn't laggy or hot, you're just using the wrong kernel for your phone. eng kernel isnt made for performance. it's made for engineering. unroot your phone and/or flash U firmware and stop being an ignorant crybaby.
ON QC S7/E, ROOTING CAUSES LAG AND OVERHEAT ISSUES. THERE IS NO FIX.
this phone isn't meant to be rooted. which means it's perfect for people like OP. because you obviously can't follow instructions or advice from all the root guides and threads on here. you just ignore all warnings and then make a thread to whine about your malfunctioning phone when it starts doing the things you were warned it would do.

You must be a sad little man or kid) to try and belittle someone else's opinion that does not agree with you loving the device. Sadly I was looking at the downside of owning this phone but I didn;t look deep enough. Why would you Pros and not the Cons. You buy a brand new Ford and it breaks on your before you even reached 50k mile but had you looked into the cons of that make a model you would know NOT TO FREAKING BUY IT. I wish I had someone post a negative review of the phone itself so I could of avoided buying it, twice.
As for your solution, as if giving up said phone for way less than what one bought it for it is not much of an option unless I want to take a loss. As far as you not having heat issues, I always have it and have seen others have similar issues. So you rarely play games yet you can sit there and tell me with absolute certainty that the phone does not over heat... right very reassuring. Remind yourself never to review phones. I do use facebook, but not that app, just the web browser. And I assure you, I am no kid, your attempt to insult falls very.... very short, much like your intelligence. As far as the phone not having a systematic problem, I can go on a dozens threads here on this site alone and even review sites and even youtube videos that say the very exact opposite of you. And again, this belittling thing your doing, either you have WAY too much time on your hands and are constantly looking for an opportunity to try and appear higher than others by belittling or you... are just a sad man or kid. Case in point, don't like my thread, don't comment. And I would advise against trying to belittle anyone else, whether done here or in your actual life.
My opinion, don't like my thread, don't post in it.

You miss the part that I had this issue even when I had it stocked. Should I direct you to the many threads, reviews sites, and youtube, not to mention the other posters who said the same thing? Either contribute or don't post in my thread as I mentioned before. You may fine nothing wrong with this device, rooted or not, I have had this phone constantly overheat, while stocked, and while rooted. Get over it your shock of me throwing a fit on a 800 dollar phone.

Trade it in on what? Black Friday is on the horizon so what ever deals there are will be made then.

There was no belittling on my part in anything I said, unlike your post. If you found it, you must have looked for it very hard and are overly sensitive when someone disagrees with you. Like I said, I have no issues with heat, battery, gear vr, or anything else. Whether I play games or otherwise. I suggested that your phone is bad or something you're doing is causing it. Sorry you don't like my suggestions, but it is what it is. Like is said, move on to a different device and hopefully you'll be happy with your choice. I know at least 3 other people with the gs7e that have none of your issues, as well as plenty of Internet reviews that state the same.
Lag fixed on the Nougat beta. Also has a few features I used to root for that are baked in now. Only thing missing is V4A and system wide add blocking.

New Mods? or are we staying back a year?

Hello my fellow V20-ers! Just checking with everyone to see if anyone has seen any new MODS become avail for the H910 (At&t) with in the last 3 to 6 months? I rooted my phone with the https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/rom-natf-1-00-test-5-debloated-stock-t3509750 with Mega Rom, and I like it, but when I use Snapchat, or take any type of video, it gets very very very laggy as far as operating it is concerned, the battery life is much better, I put the new google camera into it, and that takes beautiful scenery. But the lag with the video is just to much for me..
With that being said, has anyone seen any new mods that have come out in the last 3-6 months? all that I can find is ones that came out in the beginning of last year. any help would be greatly appreciated. Plus besides that, the only thing I dont like about this set up is the screen color, brightness. they should have left it alone and let us deal with that.
anywho, thanks for your time!
