Use towelroot.
I had to downgrade because nothing would work. I went to version d80020d

i tried towelroot too but it isn't currently supported for my device

I finally found a way to root this firmware version after a failed attempt with vroot.I used Root Genius and after reboot the phone was rooted with king user.If you want to change it with SuperSU the easiest way is to install a CWM , unroot the device and root it again with SuperSU zip from CWM because kinguser replaces su binary immediatly after you upgrade it with SuperSU.

What ROM are you using? If you're using stock AT&T what firmware version are you on? Make sure you're on the latest one

you need to update to d80020u which is the latest version and includes knock code

I didn't do anything yet. Like that I Buy it.

The only thing you need is AutoRec which will install a custom recovery for you.
For rooting 4.4.2, search for ioroot 25 or higher, or Towelroot.
Odin is used for Samsung phones only, so you don't need it.
