[Q] How to change Navbar icons in stock LG 5.0.2 ? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, is there a way to change the navbar icons in stock 5.0.2 Lollipop Rom for the D802? The LP ones from LG are so ugly... Maybe modify the system.ui?
Thanks!

Danke

How to cook a German ROM in a kitchen

Hi XDA Freaks,
mfg Reiner
oh my god this is a test to translate it in englich by google-tools:
Dear XDA ROM Freaks,
I gave German Rom 4.0033 to my XDA. Much is unnecessary for my purposes, on the other hand one the Flashspeicher should be able to be filled with the additionally needed Tools. The project ' cook your own ROM in A kitchen ' under http://www.xda developers.com/ROMkitchen/describes this for the English ROM's. That is not the only Handikap. The project works besides under LINUX/Unix, and there I (still) cannot keep up. Until today there is probably no German Rome kitchen/Tool, which is sufficient for these requirements. Perhaps that is to be done stimulus for gleichesinnte this, or their experience thereby here continue to admit. So that one can introduce oneself, what I mean here one left an English Rome to kitchen: http://cuba.calyx.nl/~jsummers/ROMkitchen or http://kitchen.romanweb.com/kitchen/processor.php. Good slide and thanks for your assistance mfg pure

Hy Reiner.
The Rom-Kitchen also works with the german ROMs.Only some files must be adapted to get it right working.
I´m also playing a bit with the rom kitchen and get it worked, so i´m using my own cooked rom.
With the Romkitchen your not able to rmove Programs from the rom, you only have the possibility to add software.
When you want to have a own cooked rom, you can sen me a email with the programms you want to have on it (only the programs you can add at the Demokitchen) and i can "cook" it for you....
HTH
Stefan
Hey, youve really got it working? Can you already cook a german rom with the .33-image?
Or can you post how you made it working, for being able to cook a rom on my own?
Bye, Dennis.

How debrand an Austrian (A1) x10i R1FA014

1. Download files:
-SE PC Companion
2. Install PC Companion on your PC
3. Connect your phone when PC Companion asks
4. Check for updates - on this screen you will get the REPAIR option
5. Select repair - and let PC Companion guide you through it.
C:\Programme\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db\13740270\blob_fs
6. Go to the following directory (folder may be hidden)
For Windows Vista/7 C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs) (Yes, ProgramData; not Program Files!)
For XP C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs
7. Sort the files by date in descending order
8. Look at the screenshot: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5554/x10deb.jpg
9. Rename file 1 from the archive to the first file at the top (they should both be similar size (~110mb)
10. Rename file 2 from the archive to the second file at the top (they should both be similar size (~16mb)
11. Now copy both files from the archive into C:/ProgramData/Sony Ericsson/SEMC OMSI Module/db/13740270/blob_fs. If asked to overwrite, then do so.
12. Run PC Companion again. Go through steps 4 and 5.
13. After a successful update the phone will be unbranded.
(If you used Generic NCB files it is recommended to perform steps 4 and 5 once more. This will update the firmware to the newest, R1FB001, firmware.)
Bitte helft mir
1st of all, if you do not post in English always provide a translation
are you referring to the "Debranding X10" in general section? then you should have asked there instead of opening a new thread
drop a note, if the answer is yes I will transfer your post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683793
@Moderator: Sorry that i not wrote back in english
in this particular case I can live with that
thx for answering his q
until I get an answer from OP...
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
first of all thx for help...
Sorry, I didn´t know that I´m not allowed to write in german...
I was searching for a while but the only thing I found was the describtion which I put at the top.
@yalla
Could you please tell if it worked for you the way IxXxI told you ?
Did you do the step to R1FB001 also ? If yes How ? (Omnius, Seus)
I read in different forums that people bricked their X10 after flashing debranded firmware so I'm a bit curious. Mine is also R1FA014 and A1 branded.
THX
dont work
ok,
I have create an account and installed omnius.
Then settings-> server-setting-> I have put in the pass login.
After I was trying to "unlock" the phone I also was trying to "flash" the x10.
Nothing...
I get always the message "incorrect password"
please dont think that I´m to stupid to put in the right!!
I was trying to log in by using the webside, works...
Was trying to change the pass, works on webside, only on webside...
I was creating a different acc. works, put the same massege.
I think for me this way to debrand does not work
any idea

Have you ever thought about posting questions in a question forum and not the developer forums? Reading rules, following them and not acting like some superior person, as if they would not apply to you, must really be tough.
danke für die korrektur meiner inneren einstellung
thanks for the correction - beside that i guess that most of the developers are in the development-forum ... but next time i will follow your suggestion - just for us all to keep peace in mind ...

Need help translating from german

Hi,
I'm trying to use "basebandswitcher" an App for switching bands for the Defy.
I have some errors that I couldn't find solution for anywhere, but a post on a german forum that seems to solve it.
Problem is google translate, and other online translators, do a pretty bad job translating it.
Anyhow I hope some nice German member could help with translating this small quote:

[POLL] Who's willing to donate for Nameless-ROM

German below
So after about a week I think there are enough people willing to donate something so Alexander is able to buy this device and give us a nice ROM.
We signalize him that we are in need of a great ROM for a great hardware.
To keep it simple and to not pay any unnecessary fees I'd like to share his PayPal Donation-ID:
Mod Edit : Links Removed
The money will only be used to support buying the phone and developing the ROM.
What's going to happen?:
Alexander Martinz, creator and maintainer of Nameless ROM (https://nameless-rom.org/) will be buying a ZUK Z2 Pro and will in the first step port Nameless 3.0 (Marshmallow) to this device as it is stable and should be ready much faster. After that Nameless 4.0 (Nougat) will be ported to this device. It's nearly ready for other devices already.
As you can see, the source-changes are published at github.
A great "Thank you" to all donators and Alexander, for willing to give us a great ROM for a gret Phone.
###
Was passiert danach?:

Okay. As there were several people who asked about it:
Alexander told me the following things:
When the ROM for Z2 Pro is out he will try to build one for Z2 too if it is really nearly the same device. He doesn't have one and will not buy one but will try to build one but it will be a blind flight.
The second more important thing he told me for everyone:
If he doesn't succeed on building a ROM for the Z2 Pro, he will REFUND!!! all donations.
I should tell this to all of you. Please be patient though as he does this besides his job and family tasks.
Right now he's on the Kernel combining the source code from ZUK with the one from Qualcomm and cleaning up the code.
He has built a new TWRP and got the custom kernel to boot on stock ROM.
Work is in progress
None of the other ROMs out there have sourcecodes available so he's doing it all from scratch.
I'll keep you informed.

German:
Okay.

I keep it short because no one wants to read a lot of text:
Alexander Martinz, creator of Nameless-ROM and maintainer of several devices is willing to put his effort into building the ROM to this device.
But for this he needs the device. He normally wouldn't buy it and so there wouldn't be any ROM. If we at least can show him some financial support we can help him buy the device and try to build the ROM for us.
It will be maintained afterwards as long as he has the device and it's not too old.
This poll is to gather the interest how many people would be willing to donate and how much.
###
Ich fasse mich kurz weil niemand lange Texte lesen will:

Perhaps I'm a littlebit biased but as soon as there's Nameless available for a device I'll ditch every other
It's very clean, close to stock but with little nice tweaks and a lot of power- and speed-optimizations. Most important it is rock solid and fast. Alexander is really a genius.
Every "needed" option is available, but no bloat.
A lot of stuff on CM is from him too. And Device-Control on Google Play Store for example too:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Alexander%20Martinz&hl=de
This is the official page with the officially supported devices:
https://nameless-rom.org/
Cool, I've been away from Android for a few years so I am out the loop on all the Rom / development scene currently.
Sounds like a good rom so I am happy to support as it looks like not many other roms are being developed for the Z2 Pro .
Do they do a good job of making the manufacturer specific functions work like the home button options? It is great to use specific fingers / actions to do different things & launch apps on this device.
I would also hope that the health screen that you swipe to in ZUI can somehow be carried over - I can't access this screen with other launchers as there is no widget available so I always have launch Zui home to use HR / UV sensors.
If these types of things can be included in Nameless it would be awesome.

The sourcecode for the device has been released. I don't know how good it is because someone told me it would be "incomplete" so we hope best.
Regarding the health-screen: I don't think this can be ported as it is something in their launcher. If the sourcecode includes drivers for the heartrate-monitor it could be included but which app would be able to use it.
Basically nameless is AOSP-build so from the blank original sources, not CM or sth. like that so I don't think ZUI-specific features are built in.
For me personally most important is:
A stable, fast ROM with low battery drain and all the basic buttons and features working like the uTouch, Cam, Vibrating, LEDs, Fingerprint and so on.
The few builds of CM, RR, MoKee and so on show that uTouch works but is not configurable, vibration works but not everywhere, LEDs work, Fingerprint too and so on. So we have a good chance to have a 6 GB RAM 128GB Flash device with LTE Band 20 and a great ROM based on stock Android.
Ok great, thank you for the info. Sounds good, I didn't try the other Roms you mention due to things like vibration not working.
Happy to support this Rom as it sounds like it could be ideal. hopefully enough people support to make it happen.
I'm ready to give money for update support, every months, but i have a condition about that, OTA !
Still waiting my Zuk 2 Pro 6Gb/128Gb version, but i will happy to know we gonna have updates security and last release of androit with a community Rom and OTA update system.

At first he would build it on 6.0.1. The second build will be based on nougat
There is not much else going on in terms of active ROM development and maintenance for this device so any chance for to support someone willing to create and maintain a ROM ongoing should be supported if you can.
It is a shame there are not more ROM's being developed given the specs of this phone.
