It is a pre-rooted rom with busybox and i made it from the devices firmware (NK1) im also reaching out to devs too because im trying to learn to make roms and apps and i think im doing a great job so far but i guess i need a bit of a push perhaps a mentor or tutor of some sort please if you have any input or help for what im doing here please leave a comment in this tread TY in advance
============================================================================================================================
I just realized i put this in the wrong area i meant to put it in the general discussion area and im not sure how to delete it from here so i can move it to the right place if someone can let me know that too that would be great ty and sorry.

I forget exactly what the bootloader file was called but your zipped rom should contain boot.img and a few folders like system, bla bla bla. To make sure, be sure that in your updater script, contains the correct mounting points/partition points so the zip rom can flash the stuff into the right areas. As long none of those mounting/partition stuff isn't leading to the bootloader. I would ask an Dev regarding those mounting points. I assume you ran this through a kitchen correct?

Dude..., Dude ?!? Dude ?!?!?!?!
sm-t330nu bootloader is @
/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 sbl1
[i think] xD
there is no way you could possibly overwrite that with any rom build/mod , unless of course you are
a world class dummy. And since there are no dummies anywhere on XDA [ ... EVER !!! ] :silly:
There's no need to worry right ?????????

M,
create an account at androidfilehost and apply for developer status so you
can upload there, or upload it to google drive or mega. I'd need to see what it
is you are actually working on. @sub77 makes a good point, if you won't
test out your own work then why get into it? You would be well served, as emoboy
does a lousy job of getting across, to suspend further question and do more
reading, reading, reading, especially my posts for a wonderful mix of lame humour,
dumb questions, insightful remarks, astute observations, bad spelling, and even
worse language in some situations ! xD

I would imagine because the filesize is too big, XDA has filesize limits for different file types, and I can't imagine an entire rom zip being smaller than the cut-off. Moonbutt74 is right (protip, he always is and even on the rare occasions he isn't he's still much cleverer than you or me), upload it to android file host (you do have to request developer status, but they should approve it within like an hour or two max iirc) or google drive if you're really too impatient to wait for android file host

Assuming you've already made an account and are logged into it, there is a drop-down menu on the upper right-hand corner of the page that should say, "Hey, <yourusername>" Click it and select settings. The fourth setting down under user settings > my preferences should be called "request developer/upload access", that's the one you're after

You need dev status for android file host, not google drive. When making posts use the Insert Link button to link to your upload links. Any file uploaded to your google drive that you allowed to be shared with the public should have its own URL. Any file you upload to android file host will definitely be given its own url. You can copy/paste that url into Insert Link into your post/thread

[DEV][APP] Acer update decrypter

I made a tool so we can decrypt the acer updates easier.
Also added decryption key change if acer decides to change the key.

thanks for nothing.
How 'bout telling him what it does, instead of just putting him down and calling him a noob?
@lpachuong, there's nothing we can do with it -yet-, since we have no way to re-encrypt them. It's possible we could do something like build a system.img and flash it with dd, though for now it's only good for poking around in the images.

Too many users ask lots of questions that could be avoided by reading the posts / some other topics. I can totally understand him.
Of course it's no problem to answer 1 or 2 questions - but there are many questions and lots of them do repeat.

It looked to me like he had read it, and didn't understand it, possibly to a language barrior.
Also, saying that it's not useful to him (in a polite way) is a lot better than saying that he's a noob and has no business working with it, and would have taken just as long to type. There's a point where he's just being rude to be rude. :|

Sorry, it's not. This info is available right here in this forum. All you have to do is look.
There is a difference between a noob and a newb. Right now all I see is a newb asking for information that can be freely found if one spends some time looking for it.
If you notice, the OP has helped quite a few people with legitimate questions and/or concerns.
Thank you for your understanding. But I should apologize for causing the troubles. I didn't know what the purpose of decrypting the zip file was, when there is no further step after that.
I guess I will be just more patient and wait until we can get access to the recovery mode. I just can't stand it when Acer has no update in Australia. I messed with dd the system and flex img before as well. Hopefully during this time, OP or someone else will come up with something that can re-encrypt it. I saw the chinese update.zip used signapk to pack the package but I failed to do so.
I don't mind being called noob =) People usually call me nerd so it sounds good to be called noob sometimes =D
peace.
dude you want to know how you're supposed to provide information and provide support?
read one of my guides below.
anyways dont apologize dude, just dont mind some of these cranky guys.
If I decide to keep my Iconia, I'll consolidate all that information and make a guide somewhere.

Robitron has been doing DEV work IMHO, his GPS stuff has made my Tablet work a heck of a lot better. Posting a question about missing files in this forum makes sense to me in light of that.
And by the way, I don't see the file either.

[PATCH] Old Bootloader [USB DOWNLOAD HACK] READ!!!

Hey guys, on the the forums!
I'm here today, to "show" you a small hack, for the SGS II!
All you need, are a few things, and then we can get started.
But, let me tell you, what I'm trying to expain;
If you are a person, that is new to flashing, then you might find this especially interesting, because this hack, lets you flash as many custo things, as you want, but the flash-counter does not increase.
As an example, I flash my phone, near-to every few days, because I test new and custom kernels. So, I found this hack, and it works!
So, let's get on with the tutorial!
First; the things you will need.
1. My custom Odin. (Because then, it's easier to explain...)
2. A USB Download-mode Jig/Dongle.
3.The Update-package.
Tutorial:
Turn your phone OFF, and plug in the USB Jig/Dongle. Once in download mode, take the Jig/Dongle out, and plug in the USB cable, in to your computer (and phone). Now open Odin, and extract the update-package.
In Odin, you will find buutons, called " Bootloader" and "PDA", and a checkbox, named "Update phone's Bootloader".
Clcik on "Bootloader" and select:"GT-I9100_OLD_BOOTLOADER" now click on Open. Back in Odin, click on "PDA" and select the file named: "GT-I9100_counter_patch".
Now, once you have made sure, that the checkboxes "Auto reboot device" and "F. Reset Time" are checked, just click on "Start flash" and wait for your device to reboot.
Now, flash Siyah-Kernel.
You flash this, by clicking the File named "Siyah2.tar" in the "PDA" menu....
After the flashing has finished, go back to your download mode: (Three-button-combo or CWM app way) And you will notice; that it still says
"Custom Binary Download: No.
Binary: Samsung Official"
If you liked my tutorial, please thanks me.
If you think, I could do something better, tahn message me.
Happy flashing!
Edit: The reason I said: "A Download-Mode-Jig is needed!" Is because you are probably new to flashing, so if you close Odin by accident, you will need the Jig, to unbrick our device.
And, incase you do something wrong, you will also need the Jig, incase it counted, where you flashed Siyah.
Sorry for not saying his earlier.
It's noted for next time!
Hi, what's the difference to : intratech,
besides flashing custom rom?
Does it influence the counter somehow?
Anyone can confirm this really works?
And why he says u need jig when u can boot into download mode without jig to flash the bootloader and patch?

Because it's easier to get into the bootloader the first time with the Jig/Dongle, and if it fails, you will still need the Jig/Dongle to reflash...
And, incase you accidently do something to the phone, during the flash -process, you will need the Jig, incase of a brick...

Yes, it does. It stops the counter from counting. So, basicly, the hacked Bootloader, tells the counter: "This is a stock ROM, if you believe it, or not. So Say it's stock, or else!"
Even if it's custom.

Nice
But frankly i will not risk flashing the bootloader now(the first one to be flashing)
And change the title to "Flash custom kernel without increase in binary counter"
EDIT: Are you f**king kidding me?One star?
If you are too scared, to flash the Bootloader first, then just do the Patch. Then the bootloader, that way, you get a feeling for it.
But, trust me, I've done this on quite a few phone's before posting. It works just amzingly. But when updating the phone, you may need to flash the Bootloader and patch again. I've not tried that yet. As there are no Updates for my GS II at the moment....
While there do appear to be differences between Odin executables (I personally wouldn't even think about using it because of my next statement), both of the Sbl.bin files in your archive are binary identical to each other and to the one in Intratech's thread.

No offense to familyguy59 (great show by the way) i know who's guide i would follow if i ever wanted to reset my binary counter. Now let us see who i would choose.
Familyguy59 that has only few posts or Intratech who has not only a whole thread with guides and providing stock official roms but look what he also has done for the community by what he does and what he provides.
So i know where i would put my money at. No offense again to familyguy59 i am sure your hack probably does work but like i said i know who's guide i would choose

Not to be rude or anything,
I don't get what you mean by Linux freak (you don't need Linux to compare hashes) . It is pretty much impossible for two files to have the same CRC-32, MD5 and SHA-1 hashes. I've also checked them in a HEX editor and even still they are the same.
Also when you say you "modded" odin, have you just changed the text in resource hacker to make some stuff n00b firendly?

Announcement:
Streakdroid.com has had DNS issues in the past, as such I no longer host my files on it.
If and when DJ_Steve decides to come back and reassess the situation concerning the streakdroid.com servers, I will be hosting all my files on Dev-Host.

[ROM][R2] HoneyStreak HD7 2.0 RELEASE 2(3.2)
Could you please post this? I am new to the scene and it has been hard to get started with this issue. Thank you so much!!!!
Is it
mirror2.streakdroid.com/honeycomb/Streakdroid-HD7-2.0R2.zip and
mirror2.streakdroid.com/honeycomb/Streakdroid-HD7-2.0R2-wifionly.zip ?
Some of the Honeystreak files are named confusingly, uploading those ones right now
Uploaded:
Streakdroid-HD7-2.0R2.zip
Streakdroid-HD7-2.0R2-wifionly.zip
that worked!!! I am all upgraded and ready to go. thanks again.

good for you :good:
350 recovery.img
can you post this please when u have time
recovery(350).img
You can grab my TWRP ports and put them in your dev account,
also, I'll try to get a copy of ICS-B4 over to you.
I'll add them to my devhost soon, i'm going to change the filenames to be more consistant with my CWM naming scheme though for TWRP.
It's simply TWRP_<device>_<build date>.<extension>
with <device> being S7
and <build date> being YYMMDD.
All my CWM ports are named like that and I always use YYMMDD for my build dates.
The ICS beta zips I'll leave as is, there's no reason to change those
Speaking of ICS, wondering when a version for stock partition layouts will ever be available.
Really likin ICS on my S5, but I dont wanna repartition my S7
In the process of uploading everything over to devhost.
Currently have all PKGs and FFUs I have uploaded.
I was wrong about custom rec file names, it's
<Device>_<bootloader>_<rec version>_<revision letter>.img
with bootloader only currently being valid on the S7 (either 2.2 or 3.2)
so I'm not currently sure how I'm gonna name the TWRP imgs, but as they already have a working mirror i'll leave it for the time being.
Any chance I could get the recovery for the LG7_514_21700_30.pkg ? It would be appriciated, sorry for the PM it has been awhile since I needed to navigate the forums and get help.
So I have no idea what is going on, streakdroid.com was back up for the weekend but all our data was gone. But now I can't even access it.
I dont know, mirror2.streakdroid.com is still intact and I can still access all my files and steve's files on it.
Is there anything you need immediately?

Unfortunately I still cannot access mirror2 only Dev-Host. Is there a workaround or like a super-secret password to access mirror2.streakdroid.com?
P.S. I'm new to the Streak community but did notice that you did a lot of work for us mere mortals. Really appreciate it Manii

i wonder what happen.. because i click the link once... and i can download it immediately... tried that on other link as well... and same thing happen...
I have nearly completed mirroring everything onto devhost.
Soon I will update all the links to there.
After that, I will likely no longer update mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii.
The files that are already there will remain, and if the dns issue clears up it will again be accessable.
Please test and confirm website is back up. I resolved DNS issues.
