Have you tried it yet? I have an Australian SM-G925I bought outright from Harvey Norman. Haven't found a way to root it yet.

I flashed the g925t on my g925i and it went smoothly and I'm now rooted. The downside is that I'm now with "KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1" haha but who cares

Hi there
I am in Saudi Arabia , I pre-ordered the device and I get that version SM-G925i.
Since that time I was upset because I was waiting for the international one , you know most developments are going to the international one.
My question is , are we going to get support and development for ours ( ROMS,MODS..etc.) ?
thanks in advance.

I was thinking about developing my own rom. I was gonna wait though. Im a bit of a perfectionist and i dont really have the time to dedicate what would be needed to fulfil the project

[Q] S4 Soft Brick

Hey so one of my friends is having problems getting their S4 to boot. Currently she has K0T49H.L720VPUFNAE on her S4. She has no custom recovery, but did have the phone rooted. Now the device can't boot. It gets past the Samsung Galaxy S4 screen and then goes black, the blue notification light pulses, and the phone makes a beep (almost like the initial boot sound) and then just hangs there. I've tried to odin back to stock, but I receive "failed! (Auth) almost immediately after starting.
On the Samsung Galaxy S4 screen both "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing" & "Warranty bit: kernel" are displayed in the top corner.
I can boot into stock recovery & download mode.
Any help would be appreciated!
It sounds like you are trying to Odin an older version on there than NAE. You cant downgrade, only can flash the NAE tar or the newer NG2.
Download it here, and try flashing it instead. After you flash, if it still wont boot, boot into recovery mode and do a factory reset.

I am trying to flash NAE tar and have tried the NG2. Both result in the errors mentioned above.
I also have gone into stock recovery and performed a factory reset.

Okay, its really strange honestly. I spent sometime looking online for possible solutions, and the only thing I can come up with is:
1. make sure you are using the usb cable that came with the phone, and that it is undamaged
2. if its a desktop, make sure the usb cable is connected on the back. if you have usb 3.0 ports try it on there
3. some people say odin and kies dont get along. I do not share this experience, but who knows, doesnt hurt to try uninstalling kies, and install phone drivers
How did this happen by the way?

I'm using my S3 cable since her OEM one is broken. I tried around 4 different cables since I had the same thought. I never had kies installed and I did install the drivers.
I have really awful internet stability and speed (like 100kbs) so I'm hoping that the download is just corrupted and I'm just trying to re-download it.
I honestly don't know, she gave it to her brother to look at first, whom I suspect made the issue worse. I'm usually pretty good at fixing these things and I thought that it was an easy fix since it could reach download mode. I really appreciate all the help still.
have you tried flashing a pit file?
here is a 16 GB Sprint L720 NAE pit file you can try. do that with caution, and as a last resort.

I got philz custom recovery finally, and was able to flash NG2 pre-rooted, but the baseband version is old and wifi/data isn't working. I'm trying to flash the NG2 Modem.tar under the phone tab in odin, but i receive fail auth still and secure check fail: apnhlos.
I'm currently pursuing .tar to flashable .zip python converters, because it seems I cannot flash anything but one specific version of philz recovery in odin, but can flash anything through custom recovery.

To be honest TWRP is your better option for recovery on the S4 (I was a staunch supporter of Philz on my S3) one thing you need to make sure when you flash TWRP it to uncheck the auto reboot option. When flash completes, unplug and pull battery and then boot directly into recovery, then it sticks. You may be having WiFi/data issues because of your baseband/ROM combo. Have you tried flashing the latest stock?
Need Help Device stuck After flash?
I have the sprint sph l720t model. I finally acquired root access. I tried to flash Cyogenmod. When I did, it finished and rebooted and a after reboot it says cyogen mod in a circle that just keeps on spinning. I tried to get back to my blue team win screen into recovery but no luck. I got the phone to go into download mode once. I do have backups on my SD card with all the files can I flash a backup? What can I do?? The recovery says in red kernel is not se enforcing then under that in yellow set warranty bit: kernel? Can I use odin to do something in download mode to get my device back up?? I did refash my MD.5 file again from chainfire no luck! Help? Thanks

You have a lot of options now that you are presumably on the latest baseband. Just download the ROM you want, copy it to your external SD card and flash in TWRP.
If you like TouchWiz I suggest Wicked X:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3115583
It's a fairly modified TW ROM, with quite a few mods that you can apply as you see fit. The developer is fantastic, quick to support and address issues. Every time he changes devices, I change to that device, he's that good. I've been stalking him since his time developing for the S2.
If TW isn't your thing, I suggest BlissPop:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62018060
When I'm not running Wicked X I'm running BlissPop. The only caveat is I have not been able to get data to work properly on the latest builds, but the experimental build from 9/28 that I run is flawless. If you can't find it on their page, let me know I have it up on Mega.
Neither one is better than the other, it just a matter of preference. They both have great battery life, especially when paired with Greenify.

Bricked Device

Hey Guys,
i have a Samsung Galaxy s4 i9505 LTE and i stayed a long time with Slimkat ROM which was 4.4.4, so i wanted to flash the offical stock rom 4.4.2 via odin and it says failed and when i start my phone it says: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. The bootloader calls:
Product Name: GT-I9505
Current Binary: Samsung offical
System Status: Custom
Knox Kernel lock: 0x0
Knox Warranty Void: 0x1
CSB-Config-LSB: 0x30
Write Protection: Enable
eMC Burst Mode: Enable
Is it maybe knox blocked the downgrade? Should i flash the offical Lollipop firmware or what?
so could someone please help im so mad and frustrated.

It could be that the ROM you are trying to flash has bootloader that is older than the ROM currently on the phone. You could try flashing the latest ROM as the latest ROM would have a bootloader, modem, etc. that is the same or newer that the bootloader currently on the phone.

So should i flash the latest stock rom?
Here's a test:
download the latest Odin-flashable TWRP for your phone;
open Odin and uncheck everything except f.reset time;
connect the phone and flash TWRP;
when you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove the USB cable, remove battery, replace battery;
use button combination to try and boot into recovery.
If you can boot into recovery, flash a CM ROM, install Samsung Phone Info app from the play store. This app will confirm the modem and bootloader on the phone.

This TWRP is for the i9505 International s4 with qualcomm processor: https://dl.twrp.me/jfltexx/twrp-2.8.6.0-jfltexx.tar.html
The latest tar version is 2.8.6.0. There is a 2.8.7.0 version but it is in an img format. You can use cygwin to convert the file from img to tar for flashing in Odin.
I recommend TWRP as many ROMs require it as the recovery program.

Sprint S5 Soft-Bricked after trying to install Chainfire Drivers

Hi, I tried to install chainfire on my new S5 after just rooting it and now it's softbricked. I tried flashing the stock firmware after this and I get an error message. Probably a newbie mistake, but I can't seem to get it to work. I have TWRP recovery currently installed.
Heres the error message after trying to install the stock firmware, also have the same problem when trying to use one-click methods.

Yeah, but it just seems to be stuck in the samsung loading screen still.
At a guess, you were already on Lollipop, and that ROM you are trying to flash is older than the version you were running?
Seen this a lot the last couple of weeks with this model S5, not found a solution yet
Try grabbing the latest ROM version from sammobile .com, see if that will flash
Alternatively - grab a custom ROM, wipe everything (system, data & caches), and flash that from TWRP
EDIT - Or from TWRP, go to the file manager, and try and undo whatever it was you did to brick it, (ie: remove the chainfire files from the OS)

Links to sammobile are banned here, you have to link them without them being a link if you get my drift
That ROM you linked is from Jan 2015
This one is from Dec 2015 (2 months old)
G900PVPU3BOK4

Ohh ok, and my bad. Would you happen to know when the latest version of the stock rom was released?
Alternatively, if I wanted to try a custom ROM what would my best bet be for the g900p?
That is the latest stock for your S5
Some reason the dates are different on the main screen vs the download, but Nov/Dec 2015 anyway
Model SM-G900P
Model name GALAXY S5
Country Spint (cdma)
Version Android 5.0
Changelist 4781399
Build date Tue, 10 Nov 2015 07:37:35 +0000
Product code SPR
PDA G900PVPU3BOK4
CSC G900PSPT3BOK4
Not sure about compatibility of custom ROMs for the G900P, but you could have a look around the CM13 thread, ask in there
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ent/rom-cyanogenmod-13-0-android-6-0-t3237502
There's a list of supported device 'types' not models, so might need a bit of googling

Ok, another thing is could i just run it through Odin? or would i need to have an external SD? because i don't think ill be able to get the file over to the internal SD in it's current condition.

ODIN is only for Stock Samsung ROMs. you have to flash Custom from either Internal or External (MicroSD) storage & TWRP / Custom recovery
Make sure not to wipe Internal if you copy it to there though
And yea, it looks like the bootloader is the issue, trying to downgrade to earlier versions of Lollipop with the G900P
http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...nt/od3-stock-tar-file-odin-flashable-t3128657
I will warn you alot of people are saying once they upgraded to this bootloader they couldnt get OA6 roms to flash so beware.

Ok so if I were to flash this rom, and I just wanted to keep it at stock. would it be the newest version? Because once i fix it i don't plan on flashing it or downgrading for the time being.

Well when flashing the different recoveries. I was trying to get working it said back up current recovery in Flashify so I did but forgot to move it to my SD card. then i flashed it thats where i was pretty sure that recoveries were different files but written the same way as roms or AP's in ODIN. but then when I went to test it out my phone is stuck in a boot loop with no recovery and I've been trying to use ODIN to try and flash a stock on but it keeps failing.

That is your firmware , correct . Unrar it and put it in the correct ODIN slots and flash .
PB5 and newer versions have been posted for a while now. Flash the latest and you'll be fine
Yea thanks all the help guys. Called Samsung and acted like the phone just stated doing it then she was like take it to your nearest best buy and have them reflash it so after I took it up there they used there ODIN like program and then boom! it was working.

Newbie Help ! Flash i337 ATT To stock then to Android 7

Ok ive never messed with android before, and have spent hours n hours etc reading and trying things... and have failed ;(
Tried to play with TWRP or whatever etc... that didnt work
Ive got a S4 ATT i337 that is on 4.2.2 it has some custom FW on it and its UNLOCKED.
I was using this a while back on TMOBILE so it IS unlocked (from AT&T)...
Ive tried to boot into recovery to SET IT BACK to STOCK (1st) then (so I could put it on 7.1)
I get a ATTENTION message that appears and says: System software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone. Please turn off and goto the nearest at&t store... (not happing haha)
I Have found the original FW for my ATT I337...
If anyone can help me in simple english of HOW to etc It would be a big xmas present to me !!!
Thanks in advance
Is the bootloader locked? If yes, you cannot run custom roms based on anything other than a stock Samsung rom.
Could you tell me how I can check to see if the bootloader is locked ? and I will
I read something somewhere about the baseband it ends in MF3
and Kernal version 3.4.0-812098
I dont know WHICH or WHAT ROM is loaded onto it but it IS version 4.2.2 android

Download terminal emulator app from play store. Open it and type "getprop ro.bootloader" without the " "
It will give you some letters and numbers. If the last 3 are anything but MDL or MDB then your bootloader is locked and you have to use safe strap and can only boot Samsung ROMs.
Stoney: Thanks for the reply... So I got the terminal an it replied I337UCUAMF3...
Can you tell me the next step ?
(Ill google and get SAFE STRAP)....
what file would I use with safestrap ? Can I still put Android 7.1 on this ?
Thanks in advance !!

If the bootloader is locked, and it looks to me like it is, you wont' be able to install Nougat or MM ROMs.
understandable ! Thanks for the info !!
So I have android 4.2.2 on it now (remember at&t i337 S4)....
is there a newer ROM like android 5 or 6 I can put onto it ? (stock ?)
I DID get safestrap and installed that

Don't think there is any custom MM but there may be a custom LP but a custom LP may require an updated bootloader and modem.
I would consult the ROM threads located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/development/rom-resurrectionremix-5-7-4-t3476519
well I screwed up LOL ;(
I did a backup of my ROM with safestrap (its on the SD Card) and tried to write the file and now phone is stuck on attention yellow symbol ;(
I CAN boot into the DOWNLOADING but odin just sits there ;(
I guess phone now = garbage ;(

does the phone appear as a com port in Odin? You're using the original Samsung USB cable?
the phone DOES appear in odin
Im using a motorla cable but does still fully work....
I also can get the phone into DL mode (pwr down, home, power)
and it WILL take a Download....
when it boots up it does says SAMSUNG and CUSTOM and a UNLOCKED Padlock...
But I guess I cant find the correct files ;( as it always goes to the attention from att detected blah blah blah software....
Id just be happy to get this to the newest ATT Stock FW and then unlock it I believe it is called 4.4.2 and im on 4.2
or IF it exists would be nice to get to at least 5.0 to use android auto

Did you try flashing a stock rom from sammobile.com?
Ive downloaded : I337UCUAMDB_I337ATTAMDB_I337UCUAMDB_HOME.tar.md5
(from sammobile)... 2.49Gb
but rememeber my bootloader says (ends in MF3) and the only TWO on sammobile are MDL and MDB..
but of course the file name has MDB in it..... I337UCUAMDB_I337ATTAMDB_I337UCUAMDB_HOME.tar.md5
I loaded it in Odin3 (run as admin) and clicked AP and loaded it there, and it fails:

Bootloader is definitely locked based on Odin log.
This may help to restore the phone and upgrade the rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-to-update-to-i337oc3-5-0-1-keeproot-t3075814
is there anything I can do ? It DID have a custom rom on it (well when it starts booting it says CUSTOM and has a padlock unlocked) and it was also unlocked (not stuck to at&t)... but now im just stuck with that attention logo ;(

I'm not sure how the phone had a custom rom and a locked bootloader and now has a locked bootloader.
Which rom was on the phone running?
I believe it was somewhat a stock firmware, nothing looked "fancy" compared to a regular at&t firmware but it was DEF unlocked as I used to have a tmobile sim in it ....
but it still boots up with SAMSUNG and a unlocked padlock and then the samsung ring animation, then the AT&T logo, now it just boots u the samsung unlock "custom" and then to the yellow exclamation point about non at&t software.
