Please excuse me for my ignorance, but is there a way to automate this? Or do I have to enter each line?

I don't think block works, I used hide, don't know does it function the same tho, but it doesn't seem like it.

Yes, this would be possible with a .bat file. Sadly I don't know how to do this. It shouldn't be that hard, .bat files are very easy built.
You simply can copy & paste the list. But you have to do right-click on the cmd and click on paste after you've copied it.

Hiding is just hiding.
Block does not work on lollipop, that's why I made this thread.
Block does also not work on rooted lollipop, but disable

If you have kitkat, yes. If you have Lollipop, sadly no.

or you can use Debloater http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294

Location consent (and other permissions)

When I click the Location button on my new S5, it asks for consent. This is a right pain in the ***! Why do I have to keep clicking the Agree button, making it two clicks instead of one? Its stupid! Any way around this?
Also, I am using Swiftkey. I frequently get notifications saying Choose input method (Swiftkey). Why oh why!
Thanks,
Jon
im pretty sure threre is xposed module that automatically consents and stops it from popping up, just install xposed isntaller and then go to downloads section and search for "disable google network location consent"
---------- Post added at 11:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:06 PM ----------
also make sure you after you install it to enable it and tick it in modules and restart if you have to... if you havent used xposed installer before go into framework 1st and install it then reboot and install the module and enable it then restart if need be... hope this helps

[ROOT] Fire HD usability tips/tricks :

I got my Fire HD 7 8Gb on a crazy Black Friday sale for about $30 (stacked Amazon deals), but it sat in the box for 1/2 year until the root appeared. Now I want to describe how the device functions for those who would like to undertake the whole customization process after getting root:
GAPPS and Play Store work, and having the latest version of Google Play Services (GpS) is not that critical (7.0.99 that works is recent enough). In fact, some people choose to block GpS via a dummy install (Google Play Services Blocker discussed @ 4pda). If your latest favorite google app cannot really work without the latest GpS, install the prior working favorite gapp in /system/priv-app, and block the updates via creation of the corresponding dummy directory in /data/app (as discussed for GpS in other posts)
titanium backup works fine
/system partition can be cleaned up if space is needed, by uninstalling some Amazon apps which are large and harmless such as Weather or Kindle or Silk browser
voice Google Now search works, and one can use Google Launcher too (seems sluggish), all this is installed via Google Play Store
With Nova Launcher (good quick launcher!!!) and GAPPS, home screen widgets work (choose the 2nd settings provider line when the widget choice question pops up)
the 3 buttons at the bottom don't look like the classic Android, and what I miss most is the task manager (the right Android button), so I put a Task Killer on Desktop to kill all stuff at once Update: It looks like swiping up from home button brings up a quasi-task manager. It's also possible to add a task manager to the swipe up action for the "Apps" button in Nova launcher, so there is some control.
AOSP keyboard from Lollipop works fine (undug from here) :
http://www.mediafire.com/download/p...dCyanodroid+4.3+GApps+(Lollipop+Keyboard).zip
The trick is to copy a couple of *.so files to the /system/lib from this package, or otherwise it does not run
For other languages, I could not add them into AOSP keyboard, only into the Amazon one. AOSP settings pop up first, but then transfer me to Fire's settings menu. Anybody knows how to add languages specifically to AOSP ? I thought here about messing with settings apk, but not sure that would help. I also tried a Titanium restore from another device with multi-language AOSP, no go either. I don't know enough Android to be proficient here.
Various Start Up items can be blocked via many apps available out there, and this makes Fire HD quite fast (my reference point is a sluggish yet gorgeous looking Nook HD+ )
Also, the USB OTG thing works even in the unrooted device, and can help for Titanium back ups when rooted, I could even plug in a USB card reader, with a micro-SD in there. Invest a couple of bucks into an OTG cable, and a USB reader on ebay, this way you get a flash storage for the device
So, other than a few quirks (non-standard buttons, no Task killer, and no additional languages in AOSP keyboard), Fire HD is a very usable and fast Android device. If these items were somehow addressed, I am not even sure that I'd choose a custom ROM since the current one seems very stable
I am now thinking that if one were able to replace the 3 buttons with the standard Android ones, add Task Manager to the right button, and recompile Settings with additional options enabled, than the device will be 95% close to stock Android. So one would create a custom ROM from KitKat, and then pull out a few key files from it and put them on Fire HD in key places hopefully without bricking in the process.
If there are more thoughts, let's discuss!
I got my Fire at the same time for the same ridiculous deal and have recently started using it more because of root. I'm interested in what Amazon system apps you've uninstalled safely? I've only gotten rid of weather so far but I want to get rid of more stuff because 8GB is way too little...

OK, here is a rough quick guide for spring cleaning. Note that Amazon never intended for us to be moving stuff around, but that does not mean it should not be done! The main objective is to free up some space in /system, so that one can add GAPPS and block updates if the new GAPPS don't like the older Google Play Services. For reference, /system is about 1.1Gb, /cache takes 0.85Gb, and then /data is ~5Gb . There seem to be ~1Gb missing somewhere.
Assuming your adb with root is all go (non-bricking safety first!), go grab the 4.5.3 ROM at Amazon for the unlimited supply of stock Amazon files in case you want to restore something you've messed up (assuming you are on 4.5.3):
https://kindle-fire-updates.s3.amazonaws.com/update-kindle-20.4.5.3_user_453011120.bin
(grab other ROM versions if you need them : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61005379&postcount=3
Renaming *.bin to *.zip will enable you to unpack it, and dig out any files you want for restoration.
Not recommended, but an easy hit is "Ivona TTS", you can delete \system\tts\ivona\eng.usa.salli_31536000000\vox* for extra 82Mb (sorry for wrong slashes), if you miss Ivona later, restore from ROM file. But given the next option, perhaps keep Ivona for now since you may gain sufficient space in /system by just moving apps around.
Other easy hits, move these non-odexed apk's from /system/priv-app to /data/app :

06/27/2014 11:56 PM 7,038,811 com.amazon.avod.apk
After reboot, they should happily function from /data/app, cleaning up 163Mb of space . There are more things in /system/priv-app that can be moved, but the file size gets smaller, so I did not bother to investigate other ones. moffice also lives in Google Play Store, so you may junk it fully since it's so easy to re-acquire.
These non-odexed apps I did not touch yet (132Mb of space), but they are candidates too if one wants to automate the relocation with an updated Jmz Fire tool. Basically, any benign user app where you recognize the icon is safe to move to /data/app (keep the otter swimming in /system/priv-app just to keep factory reset happy, since I am not sure how it is going to like the moved apk's):

Maybe Im just not getting it. But what is the point of moving system apps to /data? You are losing more space by doing that. Which means less apps can be installed. I can understand removing them completely to get rid of /data/data and make more space.

Well, I don't think it's possible to get much MORE space (and ~200Mb cleanable from /system are peanuts anyway if you go ahead and delete Amazon apps you don't intend to use). But one can get space in /system to install some more desirable apps as *system* in order to get around various limitations.
If you need more space, get a stylish OTG cable that bends correctly, and keep your media files on a USB drive instead of the device itself!
Thanks for all the work you and others have done to get to this point!
A few things;
I installed Nova Launcher, and kept having to confirm that I wanted it as my launcher, so I froze the native launcher in titanium. No problems so far, is this a good idea? Is there a better way to get around this?
One thing that's not working in Nova is being able to set a wallpaper. It says it's setting, but then background stays black. Are you able to set wallpapers?
I'm a fan of LMT pie control, it's working fine, haven't tested everything yet. This is great news for me, I love being able to slide from the side to go back, home, etc. (Recent apps doesn't work).
Did you install SuperSU as a system app? I'm hesitating to do anything that someone else hasn't done first

I cannot get wallpaper working either, so I guess it's black screen for now!
It's trivial to make SuperSu a system app (from SuperSu itself), in fact, it should then survive factory resets as per this oldish post :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36956709&postcount=7
It looks like Amazon did not think /system would be written to, so factory resets should not touch it!!!
I also can't get widgets working, even tried a few other launchers. It's no loss, they weren't working on the original launcher. With Nova gestures, Play Store, LMT, and some of the Google apps it's a huge improvement.
SwiftKey keyboard comes with a lot of available languages and is working fine for me, and is great if you're willing to use a third-party keyboard.
I usually make SuperSu a system app, this time I hesitated because it's such a weird and unpredictable os

FWIW, widgets are working for me on Nova, at least after installing KindleBG module in Xposed. I didn't check them beforehand. (See my thread about getting wallpaper.) Hope this helps if you decide you want widgets.
One thing to watch out for: The first time you try to place a widget you get "Complete Action Using" prompt with two choices. Both say Settings. You must choose the bottom one. The top is for Fire settings and if you choose it every time you try to place a widget you'll open settings.

I second this one, I had the same experience with widgets! On the 2nd try I got it right with the bottom choice, and since have installed all kinds of widgets in Nova. Also, widgets work with Google Launcher too if you want to use it.
I installed xposed and the KindleBG module, and... wallpaper works, but not widgets. With the wallpaper it gets set without having to go through the two setting options you both describe, and I can use wallpaper apps (like Gradient Wallpaper) or images from my device. When I try to set a widget, it drags to the home screen, then the Fire systems settings come up, just as before, no options.
The only other nuisance I'm having is the Kindle reading app fc's or doesn't open, even after reinstalling and installing different versions. Of all the apps to not work on this device, eh?
It's great that you two are stupid enough amazing enough to experiment like this on your devices so I don't have to

Hooray for Xposed and wallpaper . . . would you mind posting your success over at the "How to get wallpaper" thread so folks won't be scared off by Xposed? (only sorta kidding
Widgets: It sounds like you missed your chance. Once you start going to settings you're doomed. On my 2013 Kindle, only factory reset would fix this. (Hmmm, if you could factory reset without getting the OTA pushed, which maybe you could do if you wanted widgets badly enough . . . ) @bibikalka?

That figures, lol. If you don't mind keeping Amazon on your Fire (so to speak) you can put a shortcut on the Nova home screen to unblock and run the stock launcher with one tap. I do this to go to stock for reading and video.

No need to be this harsh to get widgets yet!!! You could easily factory reset without being pushed the update (just don't enable the wireless first, block OTA via adb, reboot, connect to wireless), but why ... I wonder if this work around might help:
use ES Explorer to go to /system/priv-app
Rename "KindleSettings.odex" to "KindleSettings.odex_"
Rename "KindleSettings.apk" to "KindleSettings.apk_"
At this point you should lose the standard Settings menu (that's OK, not a big deal). Try setting up a widget, see what it does. Since the standard Settings is unavailable, this hopefully allows you to use the other one.
To get the standard setttings back, had over to /system/priv-app
Rename "KindleSettings.odex_" to "KindleSettings.odex"
Rename "KindleSettings.apk_" to "KindleSettings.apk"
Reboot
I've tested the renaming procedure myself, it disables/enables Settings. I wonder of one could also do "pm disable ..." instead of renaming in ES Explorer
Anyway, try this, and report back if you are able to get widgets.

Thanks, and it doesn't quite work. After dragging the widget to the home screen, the screen redraws, and nothing, the widget doesn't stick.
A factory reset seems drastic to get widgets, I can live without them for now. Especially on a small screen like this (I'm used to a Nexus 10). I'm willing to try other things, though. I too wondered if something could be changed in a file somewhere or in build.prop that would fix this, but I don't have the knowledge to do it.

Well, messing with build.prob is a quick path to a brick - it has Feb date on mine, so nothing writes to it.
Factory reset clears /data partition. Most of the settings live in /data/data , so you could try to rename that into /data/data1 and see how "clean" the device becomes (Rename KindleSettings back to the working condition, i. e. with proper apk and odex before you rename /data/data !!!). But before doing this, try another thing:
while keeping KindleSettings blocked, get from the PlayStore "Google Now Launcher" and "Google Search". Try to get widgets working in "google now launcher", see if there is any progress in there. Can it be that now Nova Launcher is "stuck" with bad widget settings?
Well, that was interesting. In the end I got widgets (thanks! ), a few anxious moments first.
After changing the names of the files, tablet started going crazy and crashed, rebooted to 'fire' screen and was stuck there. Did a hard reboot, it got to original Amazon registration, kept going back to first step, where you choose language. Eventually it got through that to more crazy flashing from one screen to another. Eventually it got to a plain home screen, and I opened Root Explorer to try and rename the files back to their original. It said I didn't have root. After trying other things, root eventually came back, I renamed the files (one had moved location), and then was able to add widgets, the two 'settings' options were there. Whew.
It also wiped data from all my apps, so I have to reestablish all my accounts, reset everything in Nova (hadn't backed up), etc. All's well that ends well, though.
I made sure to go into jmz's Fire Tool app and reset the preference to block ota's, it had gone back to default. I'd also blocked ota's in adb, so that may be redundant. Don't want to take any chances, though.

com.samsung.android.bixby.service
com.samsung.android.visionintelligence
com.samsung.android.bixby.agent

com.samsung.android.drivelink.stub
General System Services
com.dsi.ant.sample.acquirechannels
com.dsi.ant.service.socket
com.dsi.ant.server
com.dsi.ant.plugins.antplus
com.android.egg
com.sec.android.widgetapp.samsungapps
com.sec.android.app.launcher
com.samsung.android.mateagent
com.sec.android.easyMover.Agent
com.samsung.android.app.watchmanagerstub
com.sec.android.daemonapp
com.samsung.android.app.social
I restarted the phone and now I see the phone is starting screen. It's been a few minutes and nothings happening. Did I brick my phone
You removed the app launcher which basically is how your home page runs. Are you using another app launcher? If not you need to reinstall it somehow.
---------- Post added at 05:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:49 PM ----------
People making lists of bloatware to remove should not be putting the app launcher on the list, its not bloatware. If you decide to download and use another app launcher, then you can remove the stock one.
Your phone is not bricked, worst case your reflash your phone. How did you root your phone? Stock recovery or twrp? Magisk?
If your using debloat in magisk to uninstall these and can get back there, it has a menu option to list what you removed and you can reinstall it that way.
In the future i only recommend removing 2 or 3 things at a time and restarting the phone.

HD10 (2019): Use Amazon prime video app without completing tablet amazon-registration

Is there an option to use the Amazon prime video app on a HD10 (2019) without completing the Amazon registration for the tablet? Just log in to the app solely?
Thank's for help/ideas!

What version are you on? I have found that you wont take the update if you enable the apps as long as you dont reboot (just disable the OTA again when you are done). But i am curious what apps you disabled that would prevent registration... If you only disabled the ones for the OTA then you should be able to register. I have a few of these with the OTA's disabled. I have (1) on 7.3.1.0 and (2) on 7.3.1.1 and all are registered. The latest is 7.3.1.2, if you are on that you might as well do what you need then disable whenever you want...

This is indeed a very good script from which to pick and choose what you debloat and is by far the best one I have found. What I like about it is that there is a helpful description of what the package does.

From what I see for the Adb commands, the is a package install command which works in a similar way to disable /enable and therefore uninstall is not an issue as the package remains on your phone unless you are rooted.
If you are a little organised and keep a list of what you uninstalling it is not an issue in my opinion.
