My phone doesn`t start anymore - Xiaomi Mi 2

My battery diet and after 1-2 hours i arrived home and put it on charge, the notification led is red but the phone won`t start.
If i press around 7 seconds on power button, led stops and then starts again.
Does anyone has this problem?

If it dies due to low battery, than you have to keep in charge et least 30 minutes till you be able to start it. You cant just plug in and start. It happends me many times.

i did a shock to the battery, and now is working
BUT
I have almost a week since my phone battery drains very very fast (5 hours max) and is getting very hot, in the lowest part of the phone, sometimes it warms up even if is not in use.
Another weird thing is that if i restart the phone battery drops a lot, even 30%.
I tryed many roms (Ivan 5.0, Ivan 5.1, CM12 and MIUI - latest developer).
Any ideeas why i get this?
Is battery dead?

phone charging problems

hey xda friends,
i have a small problem with my batterie /charger.
it is charging very slowly i am running cm7 so i plug it in very often yesterday at 6 pm it was almost flat so i plugged it in but keep on chatting and surfing/reading so battery wasn't gaining and it kept reading 5% (same as when i plugged it in) i thought well it's just usb so i use a lot of power and it keeps it's level
but when i got to bed (1am ) it let my wallcharger do the task
today when i got up(6am) i looked at my phone and it only read 80% (before i deplugged it) perhaps somebody knows the problem (battery /phone) i have just original parts (charger and battery) i am running cm7 for a while (yesterday i just switched to 2.3.3) never had this problem before....
i tried
power off
power on
pull battery
wipe battery stats
....
thank you for your help
Could it be you have something draining the battery heavily?
try a full wipe then reflash

no new installed apps and unplugged it drains normally
Pull the battery, and with the battery out hold the power button for a good 30 sec, on most hardware these days this is how you usually hard reset the power management unit. Try it and lemme know how it goes.
i dunno if this will work for SGS but i guess you have nothing to lose.

thank you for your help unfortunatly it didn't work ordered a new batterie will report
push it real good nanana
if the battery drains normally.. .. then perhaps it's the charger itself (???)
I was seeing something like this but not as drastic. Tried a different wall plug and things were better.

I have a similar problem. My phone also never charge to 100 percent. It reaches to max 85-90 percent and if i continue to charge it starts discharging. If i let it to charge till morning, when i disconnect the charger i read 65-70 percent. I have another battery but not original, it behaves more weird. Dont know if the battery is problem.

I have tested with the wallcharger. It charges to 100 %. And the phone battery drainage is normal. Like 2 days.
Remaining possibilities.
1) Firmware problem. Reflashed the phone with the new firmware. I will see if it changes anything. Not likely though.
2) Hardware problem. The phone's charging usb part damaged and there is some kind of disconnection.
3)May be bootloader got damaged??? Even if the phone closed, it doesn't charge to full capacity.
Edit: The problem seems to be the second one. While flashing with odin it failed many many times. I was just scared that the phone was brick.
Then i realised that the connection with odin is not stable. I press with my finger the the usb charging cable to left and right and I have seen that
the connection comes and goes. After that i have succeeded to flash the phone while pressing to the mini-usb part with my finger. it seems that
that while charging also the connection is not stable so it never fully charges.

Nexus 4 powers off while charging and battery is depleted

I have a problem with my Nexus 4. Since about 2 weeks ago, without changing any settings, my phone started turning itself off at night. At first I thought it was the sleep of death issue, but it's not. It does this even with the Safe Charge app installed. What's weirder is that when I wake up, my phone is not only off, but it's entire battery is drained. About 15 seconds after unplugging it and plugging it back in, the red battery indicator light begins to blink, and about a minute or two later, I am able to power it back up.
Charging the phone for short periods of time doesn't have this effect, but charging for hours will do this to it.
I DO have SlimKat ROM installed and its custom kernel... I will try to revert to stock and see if that has any effect, but does anyone know anything about this? I'm worried it's a hardware failure, which is bad news for me.

i can't say for sure but that seems to me your battery has started to die!!
did you find any solution to this?
My nexus had the red light of death some time ago and I eventually bought a new battery. but battery time was still horrible with the new original battery - phone lasted only for about 6-7h with full charge with almost no usage.
I now found out that even when I turn the phone off completely the battery looses it's charge after about 8h.
It's definately a hardware problem - does anyone have any idea what part might cause this and if it's possible to fix it?

I have the same issue!

Phone doesn't turn on

Hi all,
I'm having a bizarre problem with my OPT. The thread title doesn't really adequately explain the issue. Basically, if I shut the phone down, it will not turn back on. It won't boot to fastboot, recovery, or system. There is simply no response. If I plug the phone in, then after hours (or minutes, randomly), the battery icon will pop up with a red charging light (indicating a low battery?). However, it does this even if I shut it down with a full charge.
As an example, I shut it down before i went to bed last night (with ~80% charge), and left it plugged in. I got up this morning to no sign of life, not even a charging light. I unplugged it, plugged it into my PC, and an hour later I hear the little "new device" sound, and suddenly the red charge light is on. I wait some time, then attempt to turn on the phone. Then I hear the "device disconnected" sound, and it's dead as a brick again.
It also does this once the battery gets full. Eventually after attempting to power on the phone over and over again, it will randomly decide to turn back on, and then the phone works fine until shut down/rebooted.
Has anyone experienced this or have any advice? I'm hoping I just have something corrupted in my boot files or something software/firmware-related, but it makes the phone essentially unusable (and I certainly can't install a different ROM or anything while it's behaving like this).
Hi
Flashed Bad file ? Power problem ? Dead battery ? Charger problem and / or cable ?
But I already had that on my OnePlus 1 and I just changed the battery ... If it helps . Good luck anyway !
Be tested no choice. Unless you have the guarantee and a lot of time to waste in OnePlus...

I haven't flashed anything recently. I got the phone in September... unlocked, rooted, flashed TWRP, but haven't done anything since.
It's acting like the battery is completely dead, and it needs some time to charge before it will allow me to turn it on. But the battery is almost full.

You often dumps your O+ thoroughly ?
Because if so, it's not a laptop battery after I could be wrong but from my misadventure with OnePlus 1, it tires more battery than anything else. (On phone) :silly:
That way I'm not saying Fakir but I think if you have the guarantee, you should try to open a ticket to return your Oneplus. :good:
When my OnePlus fully discharged for a while he puts around 10 minutes to re-ignite (Oneplus 1) it is also how I ****ed my first battery on the OnePlus 1. :crying:
Not try to completely unload the O+2 from...
I'm just trying to help.
( PS : I still want to clarify that OnePlus 1 when it makes a point that the battery is empty it puts at least 10 minutes to light if I have the logo of the empty battery in red, even super you tell you my phone is dead ! And It is not ! If you know how is the process of loading a battery. And if such is your discharge too fast or you have a problem or charging your battery discharges of a sudden, I tell you it's more than problable so that your battery is lame. ) ( Sorry 4 my bad english.... )
The battery wasn't dead, I just shut the phone down. I very rarely discharge it all the way. Battery life is fine when the phone works. It's almost like the charging circuit THINKS the battery is dead and won't let it turn on. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or software issue.
Actually I just turned the phone back on. I just kept pressing and holding power until it finally responded and turned on. But now I'm afraid to reboot it again, or i'll be without a phone for 6+ hours.

Software yeah maybe but i think its more probable a hardware issue, i dont know.

Sorry I can't help you any more, hoping that the community and champion these seeds tries to meet you too !
Did you try to do a full wipe and install stock OxygenOS 2.1.2 ? ( Without SU or XPOSED ?)
Good luck anyway ! For me it is 0:23 am in France and I'm k.o :silly:
Good night !
May the force be with you ! ! !

Hard Brick - Phone Not Turning On

Hye,
I was just updating the ROM which is Nitrogen OS. And then i'm flashing the Flash kernel but it stuck for a quite long time. So im pressing Power button + Volume down to reboot into recovery.
And then the phone is not turning on again.
I'd tried to charge the phone using OEM / after market charger / pc and no LED turning on. On the pc , there is no device detected on the Device Manager.
Is there any possible way to reboot into recovery ?
Thanks for helping.
have you tried adb commands?

Leave it on the original USB-C charger overnight or several hours until the front led light comes on. Then do the 2 minute power only button. If it doesn't power on within 2 minutes, it's not going to. The bad part really is that even if you put a new battery in it, it may not fix it. How was the phone behaving before? Any of these.... getting hot, bad SOT, turning off below a certain battery %, not charging fully to 100%? If your battery was acting up recently you could try a battery. If the battery was strong and it just happened out of the blue, likely the phone (MB) is toast. Is there a Huawei service center in KL? Semoga berjaya.

I recently flash the new Nitrogen ROM and after successful flashing , went back to recovery to unroot with SuperSU. During flashing, it was stuck and had to hard reset it and this was happen.
Nothing unexpected behavior at all, the battery kinda mess up since i'm a heavy user. SoT for 2-4 hours. I'm contacting the sc but right now we have Chinese New Year eve. Therefore , they'll closed it till Monday.
And for the bad luck, my warranty was expired on 27/1/2017. Kinda sad for me. Hopefully , they'll make an exception for this situation.
Btw thanks for that good luck. Appreciate that.

Battery stuck at 50%

Hi everyone, my Xiaomi Mi A1 black is stuck on 50% battery since yesterday. The phone charges, but it still got stuck.
I have tried a wipe from recovery, but it didn't helped. I let the phone discharge completely and shut down by itself and then to plug in, but when it started charching it still shows the 50% indicator.
Any idea? Thanks in advance.
Noone?
Seems too strange.
Try to let discharge until it dies, the restart the phone by pressing vol up + power btn (recovery mode) and wait until it dies again.
Then, you can connect it to the charger and wait 2-3 hours. It must be kept powered off.

Thanks, I tried to let it discharge and charged again for 3 hours, but I didn't make the recovery first. Actually, when it dies, it doesn't turn on again...I will try anyway with your method.
i would suggest you to get a replacement or a refund. this looks like a battery issue to me which is obviously hardware. so it's better you yet it repaired /replaced or get your money back. as far as i know i haven't heard anyone having this issue.
Same issue.
Hey legends, I have this same issue with my miA1 black. It's only about a month old and the battery works fine. Just the Meter is stuck on 50% and I have no battery data available in the settings menu. Any ideas?

This issue happened to me two days ago, to fix it you just have to unplug and plug the battery connector from the motherboard.
Fixed!
All sorted, thanks for the help ?
p.s. most difficult device I've ever opened! It was really stiff but the battery connection was easy!
thanks
Thanks for your help problem fixed for me.
I just replaced my lcd on redmi 7 onclite and that issue happened to me.
To fix this bug
First turn of the phone then unplug battery connector for about 5 sec and reconnect it again
