I did this and now I'm stuck on the logo screen after flashing cf auto root via odin. I can still get back to the download screen so if anyone knows where to get a stock image that would be great. ..lol

I believe you flash the normal GS6 file not the GS6 Edge file but read thru.
Good luck.

you should edit your post and delete the link so no silly reader here decides to click on it..

I have stock i-497 4.1.2 MF2 Odin File

I snagged this during my kies update in case anyone needs it. Never could find it out on the net floating around anywhere, so I figured I better get a copy of it before it deletes itself after the update. File name is I497UCBMF2_I497ATTBMF2_I497UCBMF2_HOME.tar.md5

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Been trying to get file uploaded to megashare, but it keeps hanging up. I am at work, so, I'm gonna wait until 4-5 p.m. and restart it. Maybe a night time upload will go since everyone goes home then. I hope someone can use it. I searched high and low looking for it online, but never found it. So, I did my research about where it stores the file for a kies update and was ready for it once it downloaded. I really hope it can be useful to someone. I just can't believe this isn't already floating around anywhere on the net.
File transfer stopped at 55% last night. FTP'ing the file now. FTP supports resume so it can't fail now.
Just realized they have a 550 MB download restriction on free accounts. It looks like you can enter a passport code for free that will give you 2Gig though. Just click on download and it will prompt you to enter a code. Arg! Will try a diff service.
Used a leech site to pull it off. Thanks.
Cool. Glad it helped somone.

Do you know of any roms for this tab? Besides stock? I have one also, and it frustrates me that there is nothing out there for us.

Not that I have seen.
I'd give up my left and or not excluding my right nut or nuts for some SGH-I497 development. Just my luck to have my wife gift me a tab with no aosp support. one of these days im gonna look into porting a rom on this if I ever ge the time. msm9860 has alot of development and I here the sgs tab 7" and one of the sgs3 variants is the same just diff screen and digitizer. Man I really dislike touchwiz.... I gues if it was sense id hang myself.

I think we have a better chance of waiting on an official update than anything else at this point in time. I'd love to run AOSP/CM on this tablet though.
is there another location for this file, seems like i have to wait about 100 hours or so, crazy. for what ever reason my i497 will not update or odin any other i497 firmwares, i497vlamj2 failed at sbl1.not sure if this will work to

I can't thank you enough for sharing. Wiped and attempted to install a ROM using TWRP and it failed. Seriously thought I was screwed. Thank you again.

[Q] Did I just turn my G2 into a masonary block?

So, I think I've bricked my LS980. Was rooted runing the stock rom happily when I stupidly accepted a LG UIUU? update. Phone rebooted into TWRP recovery and thats all it will do. Didn't make a backup yet because as I alluded to earlier, I'm stupid. When I power off from TWRP it asks to Install Supersu to gain root yet that does nothing. When I boot into download mode it says rooted on the bottom. I have no idea where to go from here. Is there even an option? I'd love to go back to stock and never mention this again... Any idea? Sorry that I suck

Any way to block update requests on stock ROM when you have custom recoveries? That would be a good idea to prevent mishaps.

When you get ota and is ready to install just use root explorer or root browser and go into cache and delete the update....then click install an it will fail or do nothing and just cancel!

Hey cmm67 I don't know if this will help you but I was trying to get my phone back to stock a couple days ago and was having trouble. Mine would stay in download mode at 0% every time until I retried the instructions for the lgflashtool. I was extracting the file into the LG flash tool folder using Zipeg but once I tried 7zip it seemed to work. Once again sorry if this doesn't help at all I'm writing this from memory (hence being so vague about the instructions) and on my phone. Hope you get it fixed!

[Q] cant unbirck help please

so my friend download an app and didn't read anything about it before he installed the app. The app was suppose to replace the home launcher but he was suppose to install another app before he installed it but he didn't. I have tried Odin, Kies, and Heimdall with no luck. I have tried them on different computers and with different cables. His phone is a SGH-I337, yes it is rooted but only for one app that was installed that doesn't affect anything. But now it only go to the download screen with the android man even when booted up normally it only fails the [auth] on Odin and it wouldn't even connect to Kies. Any help would be GREAT, he is only giving me 2 day to try and fix it for him then he is going to buy a new phone. Thanks in advance EVEN IF ITS JUST GUESS I'll still give it a try.
What app did you try to install and what firmware are you on. Odin should work if you use the right firmware.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 LTE AT&T SM-T337A bootloop Help.

I've scoured the net all day and I cannot find a way to fix my new tablet. I thought I had it on http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/link-original-firmware-images-tab-4-7-t2978495 but I got a 404 error. Does anyone have that file?
I had forgotten that you could not do a permanent root on 5.1.1 and used kingo root on it. Now i'm in deep trouble. My new unlocked (once at&t) tablet is boot looped and it has the custom icon, which means once the seller sees that they will know that I tried to root it if they are techy enough. So I must at least get rid of the custom before I can send it off to them for a replacement. (I might be able to blame it on a kid but I don't know how that will fly) I've tried kies, odin and everything else I can find but haven't be able to fix it. So I was hoping that someone here could advise me. I don't care about the info on it, that's replaceable but I really want to know how to fix my tablet. I can get it into recovery mode and download mode but it's stuck on the at&t logo. Can anyone help me? Thanks
From now on I'll leave lollipop alone

I wound up returning mine to the seller....they accepted my explanation and agreed to RMA it. I wont touch this next one, I learned my lesson. Samsung loves to lock the boot loader, I'm lucky it didn't happen to my old note 4 when kingroot unlocked it. It's a shame we cant find or make a good flashable image for odin. Then it would be safe to play. But I know nothing about android except how to use it.

After you fix it. Root with Kingroot only and you will be fine. Then search for triangle away online, you can get it free. Open that up and click to reset counter. That will remove the custom lock that you are seeing. Every time you reboot, you will lose root, just reroot with Kingroot and you will be fine.

It will be fixed. Just put file in the AP slot in Odin and flash.

So I ran it in Odin in the AP slot. It runs all the way through and succeeds however when it boots up it is still stuck on the ATT logo... is there any settings within Odin I have to change possibly?

Glad to help out. It is safe to root it with Kingroot but after you reboot, root will be lost. Just reroot with Kingroot and you will be rooted again without a problem. Ive been working on a way to maintain root but no luck yet. Just don't replace Kingroot with SuperSU or you will brick it again but at least it can be fixed again if you do brick.
Link please
Link to the firmware for SM-T377A mine is bricked!
