Today my camera stopped working. It shows a message after a few seconds that says camera isn't responding to you want to stop or wait. have done soft re set , uninstalled flashlight app , talked with samsung and downloaded smart tutor , all to no avail . I am a little afraid to do a factory re set , do you think it's possible that there is a virus on my phone
I had this happen as well doing a cold boot fixed it.

hi all i just got the tap yesterday iy was working fine but while i was making my first call the screen stuck on black although the voice was working , i restarted it after many tries , but i discovered that the wifi is no longer working, i tried reset factory many times also but nothing changed .PLZ I NEED HELP

i have a 2weeks n7000 , it was working fine , but something happen to my contacts app , it start crashing when trying to add contact or in a random way when i try to see contact.
so i flashed another rom , and then phone started crashing on phone app.
when i make a call , insted of passing to dialer and show you the end/speaker/mute etc , it stay on black screen . the call still on and i can speak , but i cant go to the dialer or back to menu , after some time it goes back to main screen , and on the top notifacation bar i see the call , if i go from there to the dialer , i can access it , but everithing like very slow. , i press speaker, it takes 10-15 secs to speaker to start. after some time i get error msg , phone have crashed.
i have tried to flash 5 different roms (stock from samfirm) and also tried full wipe and fectory reset , also formated phone memory.
this problem happen right after fresh rom is installed.
any ideas ?

Problem:
My SGH-I337 is about 2 months old. I applied the UCUAMF3 update OTA and afterwards everything worked fine but I found the camera program took a long time to load and would only display a black screen. I would have to restart the phone and launch the camera first to get it to work. Today I continued to have this problem but could never get the camera to work. It would only display a black screen and I can touch the screen and see the focus square and I can select settings and change mode but it takes a long time. There is about a 15-30 second delay after touching a menu option on the screen. At first I was able to switch to the rear (screen) camera and it would work but eventually that stopped. If I let it sit on the screen with the camera I will here a beep every so often but it may be because I've touched the buttons. Everything else works fine and I have no problem with anything except the camera app or any app that tries to use the camera like Amazon to scan a barcode or Facebook to take a picture. Usually these apps become unresponsive and then quit. A couple times I got a message that said Camera Failed.
Things I tried:
Rebooting and removing battery
booting in to safe mode and the problem is the exact same
Force stoping camera app and doing a clear data and clear cache
Wiping cache partition.

fyi: I had exactly the same problem before the update.
After the update, the problem persisted. I did a hard reset after updating and the problem went away. The problem has not returned since.

when you say hard reset is that the same thing as restoring to factory defaults?

Yes. I went into Settings>Accounts>Backup and reset>Factory data reset
Hardware or Software
So far I've done the hard reset twice via the hardware buttons and once from the software. I'm still puzzled if this is hardware or software. I read that the july update had new camera firmware and that is when my problem started. But since everyone is not having this problem I would guess it isn't a widespread. Still not sure if it is hardware or software. Which I could re-apply that July ROM again to see if that fixes it.
Guys , i have been facing a strange issue on my Note 3 (SM-N900 running stock JB 4.3 , not rooted) .....Whenever an application acts funny i.e whenever there is an Force Close of an app & thereafter when i switch off my device & restart the phone keeps on rebooting till i open the back cover & remove the battery & reinsert it !!!
Is this normal ?? I installed my favorite LWP "Ditalix" (purchased premium stuff through in-app purchase to make it ad-free)....I was changing a few settings in that LWP & i experienced a black-screen issue (something must have gone wrong) , i had to switch off my device & on restarting , the phone went crazy & kept on rebooting till i removed the battery & reinserted !!!
Today i reset my device to factory settings , formatted my External SD Card (someone told me that it could be one of the reasons for reboot)...I have purchased "Beautiful Widgets Pro" ( very popular set of widgets available on play store ) & i installed it & i was downloading a few clock & weather themes via in-app facility & i experienced FC a couple of times , thereafter i again shut down & restarted my device & this time the device started after 1 extra reboot , i rechecked & the same thing happened again ....I uninstalled "beautiful widgets pro" & again repeated the process & this time it started on single reboot .....One more odd thing happened this time , usually on restarting the device the "multi-tray button" appears on the left side of the device but now it doesn't , i have to long-press back-button to make it appear......
Is everything ok with my device ???

Was just about to post a thread similar... Besides the random reboots and bootloops..... too many apps FC. I never had a phone where so many of my apps FC. Nova Launcher force closes about 2-3 times a day. Alot of apps instantly FC upon opening.
ok so ill explain everything step to step (what happened to phone) please someone help me
so i heard that if you disable bloatware apps (like amazon kindle amazon music etc.) phone could get faster and have more free ram. i did disable everything i could and yes phone got faster but week after i noticed that knock on stoped working...
i searched for it and heard that if i restart my phone it would work again. it didnt help. 2 weeks after second screen STOPED RESPONDING when main was off (second screen was on but did t respond it only showed time i couldn't go to quick settings) when main is on i can use second screen normally and it works as it should. then i noticed that knock off still worked and got confused (knock on isn't working but knock on is). i restarted one more time and heres wtf happened. my phone couldn't read sim card ( got locked to sprint again??? or is it software issue because they told me i my phone is unlocked when i talked to sprint agent) the bloatware apps were gone, HOW ARE THEY EVEN GONE THEY ARE PART OF THE SYSTEM YOU CANT DELETE THEM and fb and messenger were disabled even though i didnt disabled them before factory reset. it still has the second screen and knock on issue. phone otherwise phone still functions but i don't have knock code knock on and second screen when main is turned off and i cant call anyone . to be more specific second factory reset that caused all this **** was done with recovery mode. please help ?.
