I currently own the LG G3 but after a lot of research I am thinking of switching over to the Note 4. The only thing that I would really miss about the lg is the quick remote app. I have used many remote apps but it is hands down the best. I have extracted the apk file and installed it on my girlfriends S5 to see if it would work on samsung or not, it did not. Is there away to get this app to work on the Note 4? I know that it comes with the Samsung smart remote but my LG has been way more successful than my girlfriends Samsung at accessing any and all tvs, surround sounds, etc.

Just so that people will know what up.
I bought one of the ics-x7hd units and i do love it. The mistake that i have is that i thought since i am getting this new unit and since i had a Samsung S2 phone why not go all the way and get the new S4 model. The phone is great! The unit is great! the problem is that they are not great together. (Yet) all of the bluetooth features like phone, Pandora, and music work fine. Drive link works great as well until you plug it into the head unit. It will start to work and show the dont play with it while driving screen but once you hit agree it will shutdown and display an error on the phone. I have called Alpine and they said that they would look into to it but who knows how long that will take. I would feel worse but they also do not currently make a plug that works with the new Iphone 5."I read that from an iphone user via Crutchfields site. I am happy with the unit and it produces great sound quality just be aware that if you want to use it with the Samsung S4 its gonna bit a while.
If anyone has any feedback or solutions i would love to read it.

I was able to side load a copy of Drive link 1.1.028 and it work with my Samsung S4. Now that it works i have a ton of things that i would change about the drive link app but it does do what it claims to do. Simple app that does a few features but not nearly designed to work at its full potential.

Hey I just got a ics-x7hd and I can't get my Samsung note 3 to link to it at all.
Can anyone help?
So I have had my Samsung gear 2 for two weeks now and love it. I have it paired with my Samsung S5 Active which is so great! After doing so research in the apps that can be downloaded to my samsung gear 2, I noticed that I do not have many apps in the samsung gear app store. But when I watch people on youtube with their samsung gear 2 they have sooo many more apps than I do, like the great apps like Fleksy and other cool apps for the gear 2.
After talking to different people on youtube that are showing videos of their app store and all the many different apps than I have. One of the people told me that since I have a Samsung S5 Active, I will not get ALL the apps in the gear mangager store. He was also saying about changing my model number to the normal Galaxy S5, so it will access more apps I guess?
Any help or links for rooting my samsung s5 active to being able to have more apps on my samsung gear 2 would be soo helpful!
I am in the same boat as you. I have the exact same issues and I have been researching all over the Internet and have had no luck. I would really love some help from the professionals on here!

My note 4 and android wear app do not work together it keeps telling me when I install it needs to refresh to uninstall and reinstall over and over. It worked fine for a week and then crashed. I have the LG G watch.

you can wipe out all the apps root ,and try to install again inside your cellphone.

Yea I am going to root this week I just needed to put the note through its paces for a few weeks. It works fine with my G3 phone but just will not cooperate with the Note.
Call me a sceptic, but they should be working in perfect harmony like my M8 and Moto 360.
(I think) Samsung is starting to sabotage Android as they are trying again to reinvent there Tizen OS.........lol

If LG said (when you purchased the watch) that it would be compatible with the Note 4, or if they list it as compatible now, then they need to follow up on that and provide you with support to get it working.
If you purchased the Note 4 and Samsung has is written somewhere in their documentation that they would support Android Wear watches, then they need to be pestered with your support needs.
It's possible that your carrier, who sold the Note 4 to you, could also be held responsible for providing support.
Though I love XDA, and that community help is, reasonably, always at hand, it's taking on the work that manufacturers and retailers are promising to do. In order for manufacturers and service companies to accurately price their products, they need customers to make their needs and expectations known. If those expectations aren't met, then they need to make less money by having fewer return customers, or returned product.
It may not be the easiest, but it's the right thing to do.
I used the Moto 360 just fine with my T-Mobile note 4
I use LG G watch R with my Note 4 and my wife Moto 360 also with Note 4. No problems at all ...

Can anyone tell me if there is a sidesync variant for LG? Or can sidesync be side-loaded successfully to the V20? I really enjoyed using that feature more than I knew before I bought this phone and would like to have that functionality back. Helps me multitask when working, lol.

Hey everyone I've noticed a lot of questions in forms concerning compatibility with the S3 frontier and the OnePlus 6t however a few months old. I currently have a Samsung phone that I want to change out to the OnePlus however I don't want to give up the functionality of the smartwatch in regards to Samsung pay etc. Is anyone using a non rooted OnePlus and the S3 frontier with full capabilities?
I have the g3 Frontier. Once I downloaded the Samsung software, everything works, including samsung pay.

I downloaded everything from the samsung & google play...no special apps required in my case.
Health works perfectly, as does samsung pay.
