For those who tried it, How did you like reFREeze. For those who havent tried it, look at the other thread.

This is not necessary, people that try ur rom will always post feedback in the thread, it's how everyone learns and the community grows. Not flaming, u made a rom something I can't do, but u don't need this thread.
EDIT(saw ur reply): I understand, that's their bad, they need to give you a chance. I'll give it a try later and post back in the roms thread.

Yeah just relax man, people will definitely try it. Give it time, people have work, families, and other priorities and don't have time to switch ROM's 24/7...even if it's tempting! I'll give it a shot too if I have time. But works been super crazy so we'll see. But don't double thread.. you don't want to clog up the forum

I check d/l on megaupload every 5minutes. This may be paranoid, but
I just want.to know if peoplelike my rom, as it was my contribution to the community
gee wilikers, batman, its a flame-fest in here!!!

I tried for a short bit. No FCs but as has been pointed out without the GPS, camera, etc not much point. Using Quadrant it was okay, about like most of the other 2.2 stuff. A positive note is that it worked well with the overclocking stuff.
I can only imagine how much time it took to construct so thanks for that - but you'll need to catch up with some of the other devs.
Again, thanks for the efforts.

I see things have started to cool off in the actual rom thread, this essentially just adds another needless thread to the forum. Mods please delete this.

Just the fact that you even acknowledge this person as potentially being you screams that you are him. You did the exact same thing in the last three threads that you made on three different accounts trying to fool people. You also are the only person on this forum who I've seen that speaks as if they're a little kid. Why are you trying so desperately hard to fit in? If you're not good enough then you're not good enough. Leave it at that. Clogging up the forums with your terrible attempts at making ROMs isn't helping anyone.

To the OP, seriously man, just give up on this. You can't just take someone elses rom +/- apks to it and call it your rom. i guess this happened alot with Moto Droid too. People would just through together a bunch of other peoples work and call it their rom, but they did credit the devs of those apks that were used.
Its good that you are experimenting with stuff but you don't have to release stuff to the public. Keep it to yourself to enjoy. Releasing someone elses modified work and then waiting on them to fix stuff isnt the way to go. It seems you want to get complimented for doing work and releasing something, but it just hurts your rep more the way you are doing things.

Can we get this thread deleted. What kind of 2 year old makes two threads moments apart.

I don't think you should call it YOUR ROM, considering close to 0% of it is your original work.

i did post a comment on your thread asking you to pm me but you never did and i got impatient and hyped up about things and i just rushed things and posted finished stable builds of your rom without your permission thinking things would be okay if i emphisized 3x on the thread i didn't do anything but finish your rom all credit goes to you for all other work. but again i went about things the wrong way i wasn't trying to take full credit for your rom i thought i made that clear in the first post but i guess saying it 3x still isn't the right way to go about things, glad to see we're working things out (btw everyone check out the title of his thread now ) for the better now bro! so i'd like to say this publicly, SORRY FOR USING YOUR ROM WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION LIQUID! If you're still interested in being credited for this, PM me with the download links, I'll check them out, and if they are ok, I'll put it in my original 2.1.1 thread with full credit to you. That's how it works.

no i asked to take down jasonmaloney's build and my build (two seperate things) b/c we both posted our build's on liquid's thread without his permission.....which was a big no no....but i made things worse by making a seperate thread....again sorry liquid. so there was no need to credit jasonmaloney, laie i know i messed up big time smh stupid move on my part

i said in my rom's thread that it was based of nfx rom and i gave him credit, i said what i did. i didn't do what i did with liquid's rom, two completely different things... il Duce ik i screwed up with this rom and again i won't be making any mess ups like this again (me = thinking before my actions from now on xda) sorry

My rom (I say that very loosely) is based on nfx, but only with full permission from nfinite and on popular request. Even further I credited (with permission ) anyone who helped in testing or debugging, and that is the proper thing to do.

Which means that it is my task and my right to put up the final update to my own ROM, not have someone else do it without even letting me know beforehand or asking me, and then posting my exact thread over again instead of PMing me the link to add it in the OP, and then telling me after the fact.
Kifno has already got in touch with me and we're working it out, you guys can relax now.

again we talked things out and i'm sorry bro. and yes i may just be improving others work (the espreeso 2.1 rom i posted) and changing things, i never took full credit actually most of it goes to nfx b/c everyday i wake up he has a pm in my inbox helping me out with the espresso 2.1 rom, it wouldn't be where it is at without his help. only thing i can take full credit for is my build.prop's thats the only thing i actually did from my own work as for the espresso 2.1 rom that was from the help of many other members on this site, i never took full credit for that rom. i use the term my rom, when i refer to the espresso 2.1 rom, b/c i changed it, not b/c i developed it from scratch and did everything to it on my own, i'm not a super-dev yet lol. i'm just improving other's work and learning along the way and giving them credit and asking permission along the way from now on until i know enough to make something of my own again (besides text files lol) that will be of great help to the community....but for now i'm focuses on improving my rom (AGAIN IT ISN'T COMPLETELY MY ROM MANY OTHERS HELPED ME ALONG THE WAY) and helping others with their work for the hero and problems....first person on the list....liquid!!!!!! (we're pming each other now folks working this out for the better so its alright)

You know what man, you're a smark kid, you just take things a bit fast.
You'll grow to understand what it means to command respect here, and I'm sure you'll earn it from everyone. This place is bursting with ideas and creativity, but just PM ROM devs in the future. Every ROM dev needs help, there's no denying that. Sometimes the help you have to offer isn't enough or isn't to their preference, but there's never any harm in PMing to find out.
As far as my ROM goes, with your help, we'll finish this up and finally put an end to all this over exaggerated madness.

Wow man great job kifno. It's tough to own up in the face of so many people watching this, you're really just a good person beyond the scope of these forums. I'm proud to call you a fellow human being. I've been watching this escalate and deescalate and I must say it's been a roller coaster ride. I must say some people have been a bit harsher than they should have, but it's understandable when looked at from a different perspective. Kudos to you again.
I'm excited about how the ROM is moving forward at lightning speed right now. Note, LS, that I'm actually using your ROM right now (2.1 stable) and I llllllllooooove it! keep up the good work, I bet it's time-consuming and frustrating to look through and optimize so much code!

And I'm not a grammar freak lol I don't treat my post as essays I just type what comes to mind lol that's why my paragraph structure and grammar look bad on the forums just like this very long run on sentence but really constantly working, and school, and keeping 5 roms (mine and ls 4 builds) and my tweak up to date with fixes and new tweaks and optimizations is very time consuming and hard to fit all in one day lol but I just want to help the community and I plan on doing that the right way, LESSON LEARNED HERE, BTW look out for kifno & ls projects in the future

So as some of you 3.5 users have noticed Evoking , immaturely closed the topics on both roms. I'm wondering if any real dev is going to take these roms under there wing, and make something useful of it?

I'm assuming he pulled it because of people like you that have no intention of stepping into the devs shoes when asking for immediate results on fresh roms that are ported and or leaked and they are the only ones that take the time to eden try and please active along with their busy lives..

Nobody harassed him lol... He got un-credited help from good devs, while he basked in the glory from there hard work. I really hope those devs take over the rom..

Just like anything else people got tired of waiting and took matters into their own hands.
Seems to me from reading the threads that things were progressing slowly on all fronts so other stepped in and tried to help. This is going to happen when you spread yourself to thin and try to keep of with several ROMs all at once.
I think it's BS to be called out in front of everyone BUT it's also BS to get pissy and be childish by closing the thread(s) at every turn because someone stole you're thunder.
Everyone just needs to grow up.

Totally agree. I thought bliss 3.5 had a lot of potential. Its the current daily rom I'm using and its fantastic. However there are some bugs that can be pretty annoying. If someone would take this rom by the balls and make it there own, this would be a perfect rom imo. Fast, good looking, lot of new tools, great battery life. Its miles better than the older sense roms.

Hi guys
As i said in the post in the thread in android development i thought i create this thread so all you guys can leave any messages you want to the devs who are trying to port ICS for us on our beloved S2...I am only doing this to help them out so that thread does not get to cluttered with thank you messages and people asking how long its going to take for it to port or saying stuff like it will nice to have it the weekend and stuff..
Leave all your messages good, bad(not rude though)or just pointless ones in here and leave that one for dev talk...So that way they can speed things up and then we will all enjoy a bit of ICS if we do it this way....
Ive got nothing to gain by doing this all i want is just like everyone else the ICS on our handset...But this way by opening this thread at least we can have our chats here than on the dev one..anyway happy chatting and leave what you want on here for the guys...

EDIT:Looks like the guys have got stuck and they need the source to be able to carry on their work. I am no dev but if there is anyone who has been following my thread or the one linked to my post here please guys lend them a hand as they have been doing great strides to port it over....Much would be appreciated if anyone has more info to bring to the table and help the guys get back on track again..Many thanks
EDIT2:i have now put a link in my sig for people to read and to see if they know anything useful that they can come here and leave something useful for the devs that might help them get back on track with the project again...So if any of you know someone or you are that someone please follow the link above to the project and hopefully one of our devs can see the info..Or post it here and i try and pass over the messages...I am only doing this as i want to see the ICS as much as anyone on our handsets..so the more we can get involved the better

Noob question: Once we do have ICS compiled, if we wanted to flash one of the current modems (eg: on some Australian carriers, they need a specific modem to work), will that be compatible with 4.0?

i am pretty sure that should be fine mate but first lets worry about the guys making the dream come true first and then we can worry about what modem we can use

follow the link on the main thread on development on the first post you have a link to join the IRC channel..i think that is the one...but please only follow it if you are going to help them out...The more help they get the better and quicker we have ICS

I got the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and i agree. It should stick to tablets, no point in porting it to phones.

Cant wait to have ics on gs2. Its amazing to see how fast these things are going on...started with a fake topic from someone turned into real porting from hard working devs. Thx to any devs workin on it and if i got it right parra for sharing the missing dump. What about a donate button to the devs as soon as an alpha release is out?

good idea..maybe a donation to an account were all the devs have access to and they can use that for resources to make the port complete...what does anyone else think

Sounds good but someone will take an unfair share ... so maybe if it went in to a single pot and then divided equally between them after a set period of time eg 2month
Ps, not saying I don't trust them all, but i just don't want any arguments between them

thats what i meant..one account or pot whatever you want to call it and then the amount shared equally amongst them..but how do you go about setting that up though?

Well we need someone trustable who could create an paypal account. Im sure all devs have an account. After a period of time the one we chose will transfer the same amount of money to the devs...or the devs create a team together with one account...or idk...there are alot of opportunities...we just need to find the best idea...

I don't know if this is appropriate or even the right place for it, but if not, mods please remove. I'm using and loving PSX KK and am disheartened that it's chief dev basically took his toys and went home. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who'd be willing to synch with PSX source and build for those of us not invited to his private party. (I'm assuming per GPL he's still sharing source.) Anyone willing to build a Pure Speed Kang?

A thread in the non-original development section might make it easier for people to keep up with any new builds, but I agree about the awkwardness of it. I can understand their frustration, and I've always been very pro-dev when it comes to people being pushy, but I just don't get punishing all the users who had nothing to do with it.
Love your font packs, BTW. Been using ExpletusSans for a long time, now.

Yea it would be quite awkward indeed. But i guess like you said, a thread in the non-original dev section would make sense and hopefully cause no harm.
Or maybe just a thread in general instead, since im really not "developing" anything at all.
