Many thanks to our Lord for his hard work in last weeks.
Now it is a "real" S5 ))

Sound control?
The Boeffla control app v. 2.1.73 only offers volume adjustments in the Boeffla-Sound section. I tried running the Boeffla Sound Control App v. 1.7.1 from the market as well as a presumably modified version I found on XDA, but both force close immediately. Is there a way to take more advantage of the Boeffla-Sound options on this kernel (2.0-beta3-CM 12.1)?

Issue with CPU and GPU frequencies
Hello...
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and i have installed CM12 with the latest kernel 1.0 beta3 and i experience freezes and hot reboots...
I have not overclocked anything as you can see from the pictures and i have left all frequency clock settings at default values, but when i go to CPU-Z i see the values of CPU and GPU overclocked...
In the attached images i have the default settings in Boeffla for CPU on 2457MHz and in GPU at 578MHz and in CPU-Z i see that max CPU frequency is 2.84GHz and GPU is 657MHz...
Why is this happening?
Thank you in advance for your help...

Issue with CPU and GPU frequencies
It is being answered by Lord Boeffla...
All is normal. Tools like cpu-z and others always display the maximum possible frequency, regardless of what you cap the frequency to.
So, it just shows something not correct.
You can verify that very easily by using tools like CPU Spy etc and you will see, these high frequencies are indeed not used unless you allow it.
The reasons is: These tools always assume, when overclocking frequencies are available, they are used. Which is not the case by default in my kernel.

nameless rom KLTE 4.4.4
does it work on namelessrom nightly with stock kernel?
edit- will overclocking freeze my phone? i tried ktoonsez's kernel and it froze my phone. i had to reflash /system and rom, thankfully i kept all my data.

Hello Boeffla,
i use your kernels since S3 and i was so happy when i read, that you also support the S5....
I'm very happy with the kernel and i never had problems with the kernel at all (using smoove, interacitve, conservative)!
I really appreciate when you further support the S5 development!

I tried this kernel (2.1-beta8) on BlissPop v3.6 (BlissPop-v3.6-klte-OFFICIAL-20150701-2254), but some features didn't work (ex: couldn't use tethering).
IMPORTANT: BlissPop is "customized" rom, so you must read and understand when want to use:

Kernel working with s5 SM-900m?

I would like to test this kernel with Exodus ROM 5.1.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/orig-development/rom-team-exodus-klte-t3135876). Is it compatible? If yes, how do I know what version of the kernel to take (CM11, CM12, CM12.1, Stock Lollipop 5.0)?
Thanks.

Problems with bluetooth on g900t
I have a g900t with cyanogenmod 12.1 installed. Whenever I try to pair my sony speakers to my phone the speakers do not work properly. So my question is, can I installed this kernel on my g900t? would this fix the bluetooth problem?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am new to this. Just got my S5 today.
The phone still got Android 5.0 with TouchWiz on it (original Samsung firmware) and is not rooted yet. I want to install CM 12.1 later. What kind of kernel do I need now? If I install the kernel via Odin is my phone then rooted and ready to install CM 12.1?
Thanks for any help.

You have to enable root, or to flash SuperSU (a third party, actually the most popular root solution for Android.).
I would actually like to recommend you the stock CyanogenMod root, but I myself am using SuperSU for a while, and I would have to search how to use the stock CM root with 12.1.
So either install SuperSU app from the play store, and download this zip: download.chainfire.eu/supersu, boot to recovery and flash it, to enable Chainfire's closed source root, or Google 'How to enable root on CyanogenMod 12.1' to find out how to use CyanogenMod's own root solution.
Edit:
So I dont have to type everything (instructions how to enable CyanogenMod's own root implementation, IIRC, and if nothing has changed in the meantime, it is Koush's implementation, which is open source:

Try downloading leanKernel 3.1 AOSP version.
Usually because lean and temasek updates very often due to commit changes, their newer kernels usually break older versions of CM by showing a black screen after you see SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3.
The old(er) kernels will work for sure, don't use the latest update. If a previous update doesn't work, move back a step.

Double Tap 2 wake and other things
Hi all,
I recently purchased an SAMSUNG galaxy s5 (snapdragon) and installed KT kernel just to get double tap to wake. Everything worked fine with the installation except one thing...there are many options in KTweaker related to how to sleep or wake your phone but none of them works at all.
I donna what's the purpose of specifying those tweakes if they don't work??? And you, Ktoonsez are saying this will drain S5-s battery in comparison to LG G3??? Are you kiddin''....SUPERAMOLED doesn't drain battery so i think this is just an excuse as you're not able to implement this on S5 too as you already did on S4....shame it!!!

stuck at logo after kernel flash
I am on the liquid milestone 3.2. I saw that this is the same kernel but updated version that came in the rom so i wanted to update. No matter
Now i am stuck in a boot loop. phone powers on, stays at the LG logo, goes no further. I can get to Download mode, but no recovery.
Is there a way to recover this thing with out having put a locked stock rom on it??
DT2W double tap to wake
I love the Kernal so far however i've got a question about the double tap to wake features. Is there a way to have the screen turn off by double tapping somewhere OTHER than the notification bar at the top of the screen? Also it takes me about 4 or 5 double taps to get the screen to actually wake up, any ideas on any of this ? Thanks!
Hear myself in the phone... rom or kernal problem?
hello love the work you guys do its exciting and interesting. Ive relatively recently started playing with custom roms and kernals etc. love this one because i get excellent battery life as well as a solid LTE signal (two things ive had trouble finding with lollipop so far.. might just be me). Anyway ive got an issue with hearing myself in my phone when im on the phone... its like everything i say approx half a second after i say it.. needless to say its rather annoying, is this a rom or kernal problem? volume settings issue? not sure.. Also my proximity sensor occasionally wont register that my ear is near it.. baaically the screen stays on if im say checking my voice mail or on the phone.. not sure why this happends.. Everything else works great.. some info: d801 lg g2, lastest rr build for lp and i have the lasest blackbird for lollipop. its a really solid combo and im loving it.. thanks for any information you may have

These are ROM related errors...the call echo especially... Depending on ROM I could help....also see if it still persists in my latest update
Love this kernal, and I flash when installing a new LP build, but I've been having problems lately. After initial setup or reboot I get the" NO UCI SUPPORT " message. I'm running LiquidSmooth's latest build for the LS980, is anyone else having this issue.

Settings Reset
Everytime i restart my phone settings of app reset and disable special feature..
This kernel should work on all custom roms currently we have based on cm sources. SO it should work on CRdroid rom. i have personally tested and its working fine.
And about the settings getting reset aftr reboot. Its happening to me also. Havent found a solution yet.
But instead of this You can use Set-cpu app which has an option to retain settings (governor, scheduler, clock frequencies) even aftr reboot.
How to download it ? Download link redirects to its app .

Phone overheats after flashing this kernel!
I've been using the stock kernel with no problem of heating whatsover (except when on charging and playing some HD games
simulataneously).
Flashed this kernel and received a call of about 2-3 mins. The phone was burning in my hand and the temperatures sky-rocketed to 65 C.
Rebooted the phone a couple of times with no change. Have used the kernel for almost a week now and now switching back to stock one for now.
From where do I enable ThunderPlug, and edit the Number of active cores etc.? Please reply, I see no such options. Also, what is the best and the safest current value to charge the battery real quick without harming anything.?

For those who have their phones go into bootloop because of flashing this kernel
if your phone shows a blue screen at startup and then bootloops,
you can boot and nto fastboot and flash recovery by this method(it worked for me)
1)remove the battery of your yu yureka
2)plug it into a pc(with the battery already removed)
3)hold the up volume button with the battery already removed(i know its daifficult to do with the cover off but its doable)
4)now insert the battery into your phone(holding the up volume button and your phone should be plugged into th pc)
your phone should now go into fastboot mode

N910F want to go back to official rom & kernel

hello take a while xda forum and the truth is that it has helped me a lot earlier with S IV and now with the note IV .
I have a problem and that the note 4 are no longer suits me as before, lag, some applications crash ... .
I got installed a custom kernel and custom rom i would like to know if it's possible to go back to official kernel and official rom.
I know how to do to roll back to official rom but with the kernel i search a bit and dind't found the kernel.
I know that 's a tall order but appreciate it if someone could lend a hand and tell me I have to do.
Thanks in advance and follow so that this community helps a lot to people who are not expert in android.
Are you sure that flashing official firmware is the right decision? Loosing root and all the good things that come with it?
Lags and all that sh^@+ happens.. but I'll tell you somenting: it happens even more with official firmwares..
What I suggest you is to flash another custom rom (one of the latest) and see how it goes.
Anyway, answering to your question about the kernel: flashing an official rom you'll flash the official kernel too.

To Change the Selinux Status Use SELinux Mode Changer...
If you are Changing Selinux Status For Viper4Android Here You go Official ViPER4Android Audio Effects...
If you are on TW than Viper4Android on stock kernel
Regards your Headphone Volume you can Give A try To Poweramp Music Player if you Don't want To go Through all this Stuff...
You Can also try AOSP Roms Like Official Cm12.1 for 910F and 910G Even in Nightlies it's Stable Enough To Perform As Daily Driver (Xposed ,V4Android all will work)...

Bro Flash the Deodexed Rom its All Stock Just Some Changes To Support the Stuff That Stock Kernel Not permitted...like Removal of Knox,Init.d Support...etc
Here is Deodexed Lollipop For SM-N910F & Flash this Bootloader & Modem(Please Flash Bootloader & Modem in Odin Accordingly The Rom,like if you Flash BOD2 Rom Choose Appropriate Bootloader or Modem)...
For Selinux Changing You Need Also init.d Support...Here is Init.d Support without need of use Custom Kernel Or This Init.d Enabler (No custom kernel) + Busybox Installer Choose Any one of Them...
I hope It'll solve your issue
