Hi Guys !!
I have a very big problem and strange also ...with WIFI ...
This is the problem: After a HR and installing all my apps .. all is ok ! ad i can connect to my WIFI home AP ... all works great and connect allways and automatically ...
Now is where the problem begin ... When I go to the university I can also connect there (They have a free wifi with no key) all is again ok BUT when I return to my home It's not possible anymore to connect ... no matter what I do .... It won't connect anymore .... I tried to remove aP settings and re-create ... but is the same ... The only thing I can do to repair it is a HR ...... and after it all is the same ... WIFI HOME OK > WIFI UNI OK > WIFI HOME FAIL again....
I'm using last official ROM from qtek (WM5)...
Please any help would be really apreciate !

try another one e.g. 2.69.21
I tried with every rom that exists with same results ... I'm going to try something today and will tell if it works ...

Well as i see .... after conecting university ... when i try to conect to my home wifi again ... If i see the wifi conection details (ip adresses) .... All info is incorrect ... I mean DHCP,DNS and all else is still like if i were conecting in my university ... but im connecting at home !! to a different SSID is like if WM is no re-catching new connection info if the new ip adresses...
So the idea is how to make WM to set properly ALL info of the new connection (IP,DHCP,DNS,Domain name ....) and stop using the info of a different past connection ....
Please i really need help with this ....

I have put up Android to my HD2 - Tmob ( Meedjay new version ) . But it wont show the 3G/HSDPA ...how to config settings to add da APN ??
And the other thing is does the Inertet sharing through Pc function works ?? i really need to use it ....and when i plug in the phone , my pc dsnt recognise it ?? ADB thing wont get installed !! how can i do that ??

all of the answers to your questions can be found by searching this forum.
For starters go to APN settings and enter epc.tmobile.com, that should get you 3G and H.
The WiFi tether and Wired Tether you need the apk, I don't think these work natively on that ROM but I could be wrong.

when you turn on wireless you get a message saying "unable to scan" (and of course your mac is unavailable)? if so then i have a solution for a rooted phone.
you could use the terminal, but i think its less complicated if you use root explorer (its in the market)
in root explorer go to data/wifi/ there should be a single file there. delete it or rename it to something with a different extension. and that should fix it for you.

today i m showing you a 100 percent working wpa_supplicant for galaxy s2 gingerbread rom for ad hoc network. yes it is test by me and also this is modified by me too. no one is responcible and cant take credit for developing it. currently i m using and testing on litening rom 6.1 and it works flawlessly. so no more wait for new wpa supplicant. becoz wait is over now. use it and reply me about ny bugs. i will try to revamp it. bye

Edit: i can connect only if i set my ad-hoc network unproteced. If i add wpa2 or even wep security the phone gets stuck on "Obtaining IP address...", but it could be my ubuntu notebook.

edit2: figured out where to put it so dont worry. Cannot obtain IP address though on an unsecured ADHOC network.

It alows your phone to use your laptop/desktops internet connection. Create an ad-hoc wireless network on your laptop/desktop and then search for that network on your phone connect and voila your phone should now use the interent through your laptop/desktop.
I like it cos it means I can use my internet connection at work instead of 3g.
SGS2 on lite'ning v4.2 (2.3.4)
Open: 'obtaining IP' loop
WEP: 'obtaining IP' loop
WPA: [no connection]
it is not cwm file. first u have to unzip it then copy and paste this on system/bin folder on ur rooted gs1 and gs2.but this will work perfectly on gingerbread 2.3.4

you should use litening rom ver 6.1 not 4.2 otherwise it will not work correctly.so first update ur rom in 6.1 and then use this wpa file ok

I can connect in the morning but after turn airplane mode on-off, then I can't connect till now.
It shows obtaining IP address, even I try to re-boot both phone. T_T

neither wit unprotected or wep protected adhoc network

Hello, how did you manage to solve the looping 'Obtaining IP address.." problem ?
Also got the same problem of Obtaining IP address. I tried many configurations of changing the ip address manually with static ip address settings
Its working perfectly on our rom.

For all noobs:
Use root explorer
Unzip and put the file in system/bin
Reboot
Done.

I've tried ad hoc on 4 different laptops and it only worked on the newer ones
I can confirm this works 100%. I tethered the internet connection on my Macbook Air with the phone using AdHoc Wifi successfully.
Hi.. I need help from all you guys..
It started yesterday,when i am browsing in my phone with my connectify from my laptop because i didn't use packet data.. But suddenly,it disconnects itself.. It never happened before this,now my phone can't connect to my connectify hotspot.. But ironically,when i use my phone to connect into a Public WiFi for example : At hospital,shopping mall etc it just connects.. Is there anyone know how to fix my WiFi problem??
Oyea,when i had the problem i was running on Stock Modified ROM with White 1.3 Kernel + WiFi Driver.. Even when i'm using Stock ROM,it still doesn't connect on my connectify hotspot..
