use titan as handsfree?

Hi guys/gals
ina follow on to my previous question :ie can a titan be used in europe basically and with sprint unable to help me with returns i have one more if you dont mind.
is it possible to synq my titan with another type of phone i.e nokia 6610 and have the titan act as the handsfree ? via bluetooth?
basically like the satnavs where you have the dialer but it uses your phone to connect , seems like a strange request but this would at least allow me to use the phone features

check on unlocking titan, or converting to RUIM... basically, it will let you use a SIM card in the phone, so you can use it overseas...

No it will not let you use a SIM card it will let you use a RUIM card.
A RUIM functions like a SIM but for CDMA networks. In addition the vast majority of Europe is GSM, the Titan is CDMA. Two different network technologies that are not compatible. You can not use a CDMA handset on a GSM network.

I know how CDMA and GSM works... however, if you look at the FAQ on CDMA stuff, the MHz channel is the same for one of them, the 1800 i believe. I did this, and my phone works on an Indian SIM card..

8525 is a GSM phone and requires a sim card. what i want to know is it possible to do something to the phone that would allow me to use it on Sprint which is a CDMA network meaning no sim card.

they are network providers, so i assume you mean unlock the phone to use them?
no flashing will not do that. you would need the network unlock code, however isn't metre cdma? if it then the hd2 cannot work on it.

you cannot flash a phone to unlock it. as stated above you need the unlock code, you can get this from your network provider for approximately £15 just tell them you are leaving the country for a holiday and want to change your sim card to a local network sim card in the other country (to get a better rate). If you would prefer you can easily unlock your phone on the internet, again for aground £15-£20, just search on Google.
as for your other question about cdma im not to sure.

re: cdma i'm only 95% sure but i think you're out of luck, i think its a whole different hardware.

Japan 305SH = GSM Version, BUT locked to SOFTBANK, the JAPAN Provider. If you manage to unlock the Phone, you can use it with any GMS Provider.
US 306SH = CDMA = NOT WORKING IN EU or any GSM Network !
To understand the difference between, read this. CDMA vs. GSM: What's the Difference?
Now the interesting part, maybe the US Version has the Hardware for GSM Networks, but its just blocked by the Sharp-Software.
What do we need to use the phone in EU or any GSM Network
A Person whos able to unlock the Japan-Versoin form Softbank or to disable the possible software block of the GMS function on the US-Version.
So far there is no public why to use the Phone in any other GMS Network than Softbank.

Hello, so if I take the phone outside Japan it should work with any GSM network without unlocking from Softbank? Currently I bought the 306SH and it is not working on GSM in India. Haven't tried it on CDMA. It is no contract but locked on Boost.

You need to Unlock it. But so far there is not way to do that.

Anything for the prettiest developer ever! lol btw, i have learn quite a bit about network unlocking this device and adding 4g network for other sims (non GSM sim CDMA sims only like sprint), please let me know it is something you may need for me to share.

Yes, please share the process. Thanks.

Sure, i can give a heads up while i cook up a guide. THIS ONLY FOR CDMA TYPE SIMS NOT GSM SIMS SORRY.
- Basically you need to be S-OFF (Sunshine.apk)
- Install HTC Drivers and HTCDiagnositcs Drivers (google them and how to install on device manager).
- Place the phone on Diagnostic mode ##3424#
- Select DM Mode ON
- It will ask for an MSL Code (you can get this from sprint or if they hassle and make it hard you like they did me, just get MSL reader from google play *must have root for that*)
- Select Serial Port ON and again place MSL Code.
After that, you must install the FDS program to change the the signal from NV to RUIM (this makes it so it can accept non Sprint SIM) *i suggest you google FDS and how to change configuration. It is free on google they trail version does the job.
- Check what COMM port the cellphone is comming under in device manager once all drivers including Diag mode drivers have been installed. It is usually Comm11 or Comm12.
- Once that is done, in FDS Main screen check ADD COMM PORT and add the comm you see your phone under device manager.
-After that hit connect/read and all you device info should appear.
-Once all is read go to PROGRAMMING TAB and there hit CONFIG and then READ. All you device info should reappear if all is well installed.
- On the very top tab you should see "NV", on that tab change it to "RUIM" or "RUIM PREFERRED".
- Hit WRITE at the bottom.
Once that is done, go back to your phone and DM MODE OFF and SERIAL MODE OFF or you screen will not turn off automaticly.
*PROFIT*
After all this, i am able to use my local CDMA carrier and thier LTE SIM just fine. THis phone does not have the 1900mhz LTE frequency they use but thier 3G is very good and stable.
If you are just like me that bought two of these sons of Bit*** thinking they are GSM, at leat you can use them n other CDMA netwoks with thier cdma sims Currently using mine on TRICOM CDMA network of Dominican Republic

Did you try enabling LTE 1900mhz band using dfs to see if you can get LTE?

How did you get the Sim Unlocked For some reason I can NOT get mine unlocked I keep getting INVALID SIM
Any ideas what I am doing wrong
