Why don't Fuse BLU Vivo Air topic with KAZAM Tornado 348 + Worldwide Phone Names - Blu Vivo Air

Why BLU Vivo Air Menu topics can't be Fused with Kazam Tornado 348 inside XDA?
They are exactly the same phone, same Hardware and i think they can share Updates/OTA's/ROM's/Recovery's developed to them...
:highfive: if someone know the Forum ADM/GM to can ask to them if it can be possible...
to have a Central Menu topic with Kazam , Blu and Gionne Can Share topics like Samsung Galaxy S4 phones (where have the same name/phone but the phones have different hardware modifications)
it will be awesome if can be maked because can amount more people to join this development team...
:fingers-crossed:
---
Just to let the People know:
GiONEE is the Factory/Brand who developed this phone and them sell the "rights/project" to another brands can sell their phones on another markets...
Just to everyone can know the re-branded names of this phone worldwide there is a list:
- GiONEE Elife S5.1 (Assembly Process Video)
- BLU Vivo Air
- KAZAM Tornado 348
- Allview X2 Soul Mini
- Fly Tornado Slim ( IQ4516 )
- QMobile Noir Z7
- Condor Allure A9
- Walton Primo X3 mini
+++ More names to come.. Japanese market and south africa market names names?

Yes, I absolutely agree!!!
It's ridiculous for me following both Blu Vivo Air & Kazam Tornado 348 topics on XDA. And there is also the original Gionee Elife S5.1 (the original Chinese model) and the Russian market "Fly IQ4516 Tornado Slim"....
Now there are already 2 seperate XDA forums for the same phone, and then are are actually now 4 model names of the same phone!?!?!?
I suggest merging the two existing XDA topics and including in title "gionee s5.1 + kazam tornado 348 + blu vivo air + fly IQ4516 tornado slim"
This is too confusing now!
Basically some of us are forced to break the XDA rules and crosspost because of this...

have more... i already found more 3 rebrand names to THIS SAME PHONE... =#
My recommendation is make the Top of the topic Saying this phone is the Gionee Elife S5.1 and put a line describing the names of rebrand names phones... it will be more easy to everyone understand that...
and make a Generic General Discussion topic.. same to Accessories... but separate every phone development project(same to Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Original Development projects) to everyone have more sure about what can be able to do or not with their phones...
and on search device continue showing separated names to this phones but after click go to this generic main menu topic...
that will help this phone community grow up and get more development projects :highfive:

we need send everyday a suggestion to xda to they can notice that to fuse the topics about our phone to we can have a better development community :highfive:
Link to suggestions

Updated: Topic Name and Add a Cell Phone name list about this same phone in particularly...
... if you discover any new brand name to this same phone post bellow
-----
And to how want create an account on 4PDA.ru... the trick with the Captcha is NUMBER + NUMBER on Captcha With Russian letters...
Like for example ; 22плюс18равно -> 22+18=40... 40 is your answer ;D
.. i call the guys there to post here too their development process ;D

Bit of a necrobump, but why not make the different names their own search result, but make em redirect to the page for the first device in this bloodline of copies (Wasn't the Gionee the first one?).
I've seen a couple of other devices do it, but I'm not sure if it's still possible.

Sure, that's great Thanks a lot!
so I'm off to bed
I checked the 1st 20 pages on x1 general, 15 pages on x1 rom dev and managed a sorry 3 on x1 themes and apps
feel free to point out threads that I missed, it's not always easy detecting them, especially when the title doesn't give them away and not all threads having X2 in their title really belong here
until tomorrow
best

Thread Required For The Racer

Hello, there is a phone called the ZTE Racer which is quite similar to this handset but is in the low-range android devices section instead of the average range.
It is much well-discussed on Modaco and AndroidForums.com, however I would have expected it to be on XDA aswell - but it is not.
I do not know how you're meant to 'request' for a dedicated thread, but I saw this as my opportunity to post a thread on the discussion page of the phone's 'older-brother'.
So Here Goes:
'XDA Developers could you please create a dedicated thread (the same as other devices) for the ZTE Racer (Also known as the ZTE Link) as I would like to add 2 stable ROMS for the device, which include:
Generic 2.2 (Stable and Debranded) - RECOMMENDED
Generic 2.1 (Stable and Debranded) - SIMILAR TO THE STOCK ROM (EXCEPT DEBRANDED AND A FEW APPS REMOVED).
COULD YOU PLEASE CONSIDER THIS - SO WE CAN BEGIN POSTING - THANK YOU.'
I did some research and I am not the only one who requested this:

Ideos X5 WIKI -Please Help to Update-

Hi all
There is a wiki page set up for the Ideos X5 devices. It may well be helpful in splitting the useful info that you good users have added to this forum. Please feel free to edit it appropriately, but please remember this is most helpful to newbies so be as clear and conciseness with the information you add. It could become a great resource if everybody gets behind it. Feel free to use this thread to bounce ideas around for it.
Huawei U8800 IDEOS X5 WIKI Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Huawei_U8800_IDEOS_X5
Thanks to PaulMilbank for bringing this to my attention.
Take it easy
O_G
Updated a bunch of stuff on the Wiki, now has a lot more order and info. I have only got a couple of days experience with this forum though so others with more experience can now improve on my page editing. It now has a separate section for u8800 and u8800 pro roms so hopefully that helps.
It needs to be updated in the recovery section as I have just listed all the recoveries I can find, but some are really old and I don't know which recoveries are for what version. EG: 5.0.2.7 from genokolar seems to be for the 2.3.5 update, but does it work with 2.2.2 and below roms?
Paul
well done
i think that the most important thing now should be to understand why huawei's links to download stock roms are all offline....for example i need the stock vodafone branded firmware for my u8800pro but the link is broken
Would be great to have those, but they dont seem to keep older links.
Maybe we should start another thread pulling together all the known to be good rapidshare, multiupload etc mirrors of those files and get people to contribute their links.

this should be the simplest. solution.
BTW, i have looked for the stock 2.2.2 vodafone-branded firmware but i was not able to find it on the net.
Wiki now has a common problems section with some fixes and workarounds listed.
good thanks

here is the new Ofiical 2.3 - 31.12.2011 - Normal ,but i cant edit the wiki page, can someone add it?
Wiki not works for me.
If someone has gathered all ROMs from Huawei, he/she can send it to me and I will host them on my PC, apache server with 20Mbps uplink. I can give FTP access and www directory.

Can someone confirm or deny this rom?
I tried to use the link by removing the stars and it doesn't get anywhere so not sure what V100R001C00B540G001 is compared to the V100R001C00B522G001 release which is supposed to be the final.

The link of B540 is for U8800+. Here it is: http://www.huaweidevice.com/cn/down...DownloadFile&flay=softw are&softid=NDEwNTY=华为
w0w great.
i have some, not all, i can search for you
there are not any info about u8800-51
why all link from huawei are offline?
I think they just don't store them for long. Manufacturers probably dont want people messing with their phones and breaking them then just restoring an image before returning it under warranty.
I had no problems with the update or on the download. Great improvement on this rom.
Always good to give a new life to our phone
I've updated the U8800 ROMs.

[Important] - Development Thread Titles!

Hello all,
Firstly I would like to introduce myself, I am the newly appointed Forum Moderator for this forum and hope together we can keep this place clean and a great place to develop!
The first thing I have noticed is thread titles are pretty inconsistent, many lack key information a use might need to know and this makes it not very easy to scan through the forum and find what your looking for.
Hence I would like to introduce Development thread title structures
The layout is simple enough, and I ask ALL developers to move to this new structure as soon as possible to help keep the forum tidy.
The structure is as follows:
[TYPE] [ANDROID VERSION] [NAME] [OTHER INFO] [DATE]
[TYPE] - Here you would enter if you thread is a ROM, or Kernel or Mod etc.
[ANDROID VERSION] - Version of android you thread is based on or for (If a ROM this could also include the base ROM used i.e CM10)
[NAME] - The name of your ROM/mod
[OTHER INFO] - Anything else you feel users want to know before entering your thread
[DATE] - The date or the last update/release/change of your thread
An example of this format would be:
[ROM] [4.2.2 CM10] [Zac's home grown ROM of coolness][Now with extra cool!][22/03/13]
If developers could please change their current threads as soon as possible, and all threads made after this post should conform to this layout!
Thank you
