Updated to ART Compiler

I updated it last night. When it was finished updating I noticed it was optimizing apps after it restarted. I got excited and thought "Lollipop" for a second but it appears they simply changed compilers ( JIT to ART ). This is still a welcome change as the ART compiler is known to be faster and more efficient for a lot of apps. A lot of apps did install again after the update but everything was seamless, no loss of data as far as I know. Also the Android Version is still 4.4.3.

4.4.3? Shouldn't it be 4.4.2?

I installed via odin from sammobile. Cf-autoroot works. Need to install superuser by chainfire separately. Works great.

Mine OTA update fails to install at 24%. I'm rooted with stock ROM and recovery. I even unrooted and tried it again, and the same thing happens. SamMobile doesn't have any firmware (of any version) for this tablet (SM-P600) for the USA??? Seriously?

Thank you! I couldn't remember what the region code was. I guess I could've just looked at the current firmware to figure it out, though... Doh!
And "Cellular South" is the USA region code (expecially for a WiFi tablet) because...? Haha

Edit

Laggy

Im assuming you installed cellular south latest from sammobile. flash cf autoroot and let it do its thing. After reboot, goto playstore and download/install superuser chainfire. it asks you to disable knox, etc. Reboot and use rootchecker. I am stock rooted without custom recovery.

OK. I updated, root was retained. No need to side load it back. I didn't remove xposed first, I DID however turn off the modules. Everything is fine, turned mods back on and rebooted, still fine.

So you have all options required to do what you need within the all such as wipe etc. If flashing any firmware, yes you'll have to reflash xposed. The great thing about the app is that you can put it in a queue to do it all at once so wipe, flash new firmware, flash xposed, done.

It happens with autoroot for 910H.
Or, you can just flash twrp using odin, flash bootloader using odin, and this rom using twrp.

I'm a relative noob to flashing rom's. Can someone tell me if I'm understanding this correctly?
Installing this update will *unroot* my phone? So after installing this update through odin, I will need to install twrp again while in download mode? And then, once that's installed, reroot my phone?

Edit: yes, TWRP 3.1.0.0 not working...
Looks like it's just the German model that's out, which is kind of odd. Hopefully the other regions will follow soon.
Given I'm rooted with custom recovery, I think I'll wait until a US version gets it. I would like to minimize the number of backup/restores I have to do.

I'm confused. Never used that but does it require custom recovery because that's not working
I managed to get root.... I used the recovery mentioned above. I flashed the kernel-less root for the Note5. Then I flashed no-verity-opt-encrypt..
You need to wipe data first or else none of this will work. This is working for me but as always, flash at your own risk...

Is it possible to flash it only with Odin without root?
And do I loose everything ?
Got the OTA today for my US 813. Upon boot, play services were broke, nothing would fix, constant reboots led to a full wipe. All seems well now, but an unexpected pain.
Just got the OTA for my US 813, will report back if i have any issues. I plan to do a factory reset once the update is done to start fresh.
EDIT1: just got done installing the update and did a factory reset, the only issue so far is it doesn't see my 5Ghz wifi anymore. Doing another FReset to see if that fixes it. Will try the EUR one if FR doesn't fix my wifi issue.
EDIT2: no 5Ghz wifi
