[Q] camera. doesn't work - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My samsung galaxy grand prime's camera stopped working.
Whenever I open the camera app, only the following message shows:
Media Sever failed. Camera needs restart.
I have made Factory data rest. But camera does not work.
Plz help with this.

Try flashing stock firmware...if the issue still persists it could be a hardware issue...hope your warranty is still valid

Pull out your SD Card. Backup all its data. Wipe it and reformat it to FAT.Reinsert and it should work now

Camera not working

For some reason camera and video camera stopped working even after a complete system restore. I can open the camera but when i click record it just freezes and after that phone works very slow and needs to be rebooted. Its not rooted, everything is stock.
Any ideas?
Did you try wiping the cache/dalvik? Did you try wiping your user data (aka factory reset)?
No need to do all that.. I had the exact same issue. It is because there is a corrupt image on your sd card.
Take all of your photos off of your SD card and back them up onto your computer. Your camera will work after that. Once that's done, you can add them back one by one until you find the bad one or just leave them on your PC if you don't care.

Have you tried re-installing the factory stock firmware via ODIN or Kies? You can find more info on it in the Development section. If that doesn't work I think you may have some hardware / warranty related issues. Good luck.
You can also try to download a camera app from the Play store and see if the camera functions OK with a different App.

[Q] Camera Failed to initialize

hey guys. My S4 recently have some problem with the front camera. I cant open my front camera because it shows a warning that say camera failed. i have try to clear data of camera at application manager, wipe cache in recovery mode and reset factory setting. when i asked at a local service center , they said it is the software problem but they cant do it.. Can any of you guys help me to sort out this problem?
Thank You
Reinstall Android OS.
If this not help you, you have a hardware problem. You need to change the camera.
Thanks
thanks for your reply ,but i have already flash stock rom and same things happened..
If same thing happens with alternative camera apps (from google store for exemple), then i think it's a hardware problem (might be a communication between components)

[Q] "Unfortunately, (apps) has stopped..."

Hi, this is my first time asking q in here... is this a right thread? :silly:
Last time it happen to my sister Samsung S3 phone, and now it happens to me (I used Asus Zenfone 5). The problem is, its not one or specific app that crash, its almost all.. the error massage overlapping the other error massage! its almost impossible for me to navigate through my phone. Each time I click "OK", other errors pop up.. usually its not happen to the apps I install, the error happen on android service app.. like phone, contact, calendar, google service, etc.. etc.. the only solution I did to my sister phone is to wipe everything (since I root her S3). I have to wipe everything.. if I wipe internal only, and install other custom rom.. its not working.. I have to wipe everything. Now back to my Asus Zenfone 5.. its not rooted.. I try to restore using Asus recovery, wipe everything first, and when i try to restore it, (the recovery file probably damage) its fail.. Now my asus stuck in bootloop.. I try to fix it, but could not find the file required since i used asus zenfone 5 LTE (a500kl) which is a bit difference from normal zenfone 5..
my question is how to fix this "Unfortunately, (apps) has stopped..." error without wiping everything???

Hi there,
I will move your thread in the correct forum dedicated to Galaxy Note 3 Q&A for more relevant answers.
Good luck
Try flashing a stock ROM from sammobile.com with Odin.
