I tried uninstalling a few apps that caused problems:
Code:
Calendar
Calendar Storage
Samsung Push Service
I don't like the default calendar app layout. I use aCalendar instead but it seems to need the default calendar apps. I restored the default calendar and storage apps with Titanium Backup and everything started working fine again.
I use File Manager (Explorer) instead of the MyFiles app, MX Player instead of the default Samsung video player, 1Weather instead of the default weather widget, and Kingsoft Office instead of POLARIS.
I'm still trying to find the package for the default picture viewer app so I can uninstall it. I use QuickPic instead.
I keep an eye on my CPU and memory stats with Elixir 2 and the widgets.
I got rid of startup apps with Startup Manager.
Recently I started using Greenify to keep apps from running in the background.
I use CPU Tuner to improve my battery life.
I installed AdAway from F-Droid to get rid of ads.
The performance and battery life are better on my phone than the day I got it. The CPU usage used to idle at over 30% when I watched it with Elixir 2 widgets. Now it idles at 5% - 15%. I gained a huge amount of RAM from uninstalling so many apps and using Startup Manager and Greenify. I used to hover around 300MB of free RAM, but now I have 700MB - 1.1GB most of the time. Every once in a while I run the 1 Tap Boost from Clean Master to get some of my RAM back, but not nearly as much as I needed to when I first got the phone.
Looking forward to hearing about other apps people uninstalled without causing problems.
Thanks! I did the same thing using the same sources you mentioned but I never had time to type out a big list. I too can say that most of these work. I froze everything you mention...did not uninstall. I have never heard of Elixer...I will have to check it out!
I did exactly that the second day I got my phone. there's no doubt about it ..uninstalling all of those apps results in an amazing transformation of battery life and performance for this phone. I'm quite surprised on how many bloatware apps was placed on this phone to begin with.... over 50!
most recommended that all follow and uninstall as much as you can your phone will be streamlined to the fullest.

Galaxy J727p removable debloating list

Putting this here in hopes of helping other J7 perx users pull the most from their battery . Thanks to Ashyx we have root on our device!! Wich makes this possible. Recovery atm is still being worked on so bootloops are no fun, figured id help everyone out, took quite the number of bootloops and several hours to come up with rebooting after every single uninstall to pin point certain apks, hopefully it is useful.
First make a backup with titanium backup!!
(The list does not rob the os of many features, but if theres something here you dont want taken out then simply look over it or restore it)
68-70 apks removed with titanium backup, lets get goin.

Do not remove dictionary.apk or device maintanance.apk, as both result in bootloops. Make sure to run the sd maid app from the playstore afterwards to clean things up!
Also feel free to adventure and add to this list!!
any news my friend about more apps that can be uninstalled?
Note of advice while debloating Stock Oreo ROM for SM-J727P
All the listed apps in here just apply fine except you have to keep in place the native Email and Message apps because if you uninstall any of those the Camera app stop working properly right away https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77722457&postcount=29

I have an Oreo debloat script in my Spacesung thread. Everything without a # sign in front of it in my script is safe to remove. Additionally, it's also safe to remove Samsung experience, the theme store, and Touchwiz launcher, if you have another launcher to replace it. You can remove google videos as well, I just forgot about it. The native Samsung video player will kick in from the gallery if you do. I prefer it myself.
For those who still rock with this warrior phone.
As of this writing and latest ROM version J727PVPU7BTH1 do not uninstall the included Chrome web browser apk as it would prevent you from signing in to the Play Store account.

Removable Apps ?

Hello,
I just got my sm-j730f (after 3 years of goo services from a s5 mini), and I have rooted it immediatly.
Now, I'm trying to clean it with the useless preinstall apps. I begin by the microsoft apps (word, excel...) and some google (films, music), but in this list, there is at least one app wich cause de the phone to bootloop the next restart...
I started to remove app one by one, and at this moment, I just can't remove ondrive without bootloop (list of remove app: word, excel, duo, google play video and films, google music, upday, talkback, smart switch, skype, samsung notes, samsung health and powerpoint but I don't have really use my phone after)
I will edit the list after more tests
So I'm looking for a list of removables apps (I only find one for the j727p)
Thanks and sorry for my english
Have a nice day guys!

*Discussion/Rant* So Many Apps but No App Updates

One of the reasons why I went for s8, after having terrible software experience on s5 and s6, is that now they let you choose a lot of the app that you can uninstall.
For example: Shealth, Email, Samsung music, Google Play Movies, Google Play Music etc. (no more double apps)
And for S Finder, although it might look like it's integrated with the launcher, it is an individual app (you can see it in your recent apps).
Or Device maintenance being an individual app and not integrated within settings app.
So I thought, that's awesome, samsung probably did that so they can update individual apps through playstore or galaxy store quicker rather than system OTA updates.
But still they are updating apps like S launcher only with the Oreo update.
Why couldn't they give us small updates, like the app shortcuts, through app store? Or hiding folders in gallery app?
During my time with s5 and s6, I don't remember getting updates for Camera app either.
s7 nearly has the same camera specs as s8 but the post processing upgrade is only for s8.
I don't care so much about the system updates than app updates. Samsung Experience OS is more android to me than Pixel's OS.
Samsung clearly has more customizing options to play with.
But they still lack so much when it comes to their own app updates.
Gallaxy Apps...from there u can update ONLY Samsung apps.

How to install Samsung Health and Bixby Routines on your Tab?

As it is well known, the stupid Samsung does not allow the installation of these two apps. In other words, these two apps do not appear in Google Play or the Galaxy Store. But before, we could download and install these two apps on the tablet from somewhere else, like apkmirror.com. Bixby Routines 3.5.01.28 and Samsung Health 6.21.2.007 were working, months ago. Now I checked again and the latest versions of both apps can be installed, but they don't work. But Bixby Routines 3.5.01.28 works again. But Samsung Health 6.21.2.007 no longer works. In short, is there any way to install these two apps on the tablet?
