Let`s wait some time :highfive:
(Edit: Poster above posted a dangerous link and didn't even apologize or note his edit once pointed out)
So you post an unofficial clickbait site that has absolutely no knowledge or authority on anything regarding future Lineage releases?
Did you even check the date of that article?
People can brick their phones following that awful site. Delete that post.
If we get Oreo it will not be stable first , we must wait a little longer untill stable releases ~1/2 month(s) or more
Source code: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest(branch "android-8.0.0_r4")
Thanks to @mustang_ssc for the links
Well LineageOS already have LOS15 branch for Bacon. So no we won't get Oreo, sorry guys

Does the 64-bit rule also applies to the final release?

Maybe i am wrong but AFAIK that is not the source code. I see a PGP key, some mk files, scripts and similar files for compilation tasks but nothing about the source code itself.
Oh cmon.. We have to get custom Oreos
still not confirm that it will support 32bit devices?

It made sense until the guy above edited his post without any notice.
He linked a fake Lineage site while passing it off as the real deal.

On the link you posted i can only see the "build" folder, which is used to execute the compilation. This folder, automatically downloaded when you download the source of a rom such as RR, Slim or LineageOS, it contains as i mentioned you scripts and similar files to execute the compilation.
I googled a bit and found it has been released:
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest (branch "android-8.0.0_r4")
This is the repository that contains the whole source code for Oreo.
So yep, we have Oreo source code, so now it would require to adapt our device tree and other specific repositories for our device for Oreo. It would not surprise me if someone successfully compile an Oreo build for our device in a very short time, like it happened with Nougat
We have android O since its preview. A developer of 1+1 had built successful. But its preview so appearance look like android N only code name. So believe me, we will get it soon. Btw you can see mi3 has it now, so no reason why 1+1 cant have it. Google slogan: "Don't be evil"

Project Treble

Hey guys! Was browsing thru build.prop today, and saw this line. Not much other than that we have official support for project Treble, but I thought you guys would like this. It is on the second to last line.
Good find man.
@The Flash can you get this post moved to the Guides, News, & Discussion section?

Pay attention whether sim cards will work for you. Because earlier, from a forum 4pda there were complaints after installation of this firmware.
