any cyanogenmod developer here to port CM9 or CM10 roms to galaxy y
I search the most thread and found that galaxy mini same specification as the galaxy y has CM9 (ICS) or CM10 (Jelly Bean) roms ported
and there is no CM roms for galaxy y
please if any developer read this ,,,, I request him to please port these rom for galaxy y
I am dying to use these roms on my galaxy y....

see the Android Development Section... and be active enough to read all the posts in the thread(at least try the one posted by the author)...
search it... the devs are already making progress in CM7 & CM9...
but they cannot get some drivers from our phone's GPU product maker...
u can still download the beta versions.... and read the things working and also the bugs and things not working... search the forum before starting a new thread....

i had already tried beta version but it is not working yet
whenever i flashed that rom my old roms starts up....
and i already search for that so please if you have any than link me......
its very rude to ask things like that,
we already have people working on it,
so its either you wait or get another phone
do some research too,
SGmini is nothing like SGY except that it is an LDPI device,
did you really think we would'nt have a CM if we have same specs are mini?
be lucky someone else is doing the porting for you and its free,

GALAXY Y= BROADCOM (sh#t)
Gamer R=CM 10
WhiteXP=cm9
MasterKEy and NANO surfer=cm7
just like deathnotice says get another phone(high end or mid) or wait.. and be lucky because they're doint it for free

You cannot use another phones models rom on your phone
You would need to port the rom to your phone
I tried Same But problems are there.

Flash stock rom via odin - see my firmware thread - link in my signature for my threads then it's under firmware section & select correct firmware thread for your device although I only have b5510
I would suggest getting the correct firmware from sammobile.com as I don't know if the b5512 is just a regional variant or uses different firmware
Remember you can't flash other devices roms - you have to correctly port them

I am using carbon v1.4 works great. I have already flashed compact kernel. But the thing is my gt-b5512 goes low on battery in about 6 hrs with internet connection. I also have installed prevent running bcz gingerbread doesnt support greenify. So, i want to ask if u guys have the same problem? or should i try the hatyon rom? replay ASAP!

I see four different roms here Carbon 1.0,Carbon 1.1, Carbon 1.2, Carbon 1.3 & Carbon 1.4. Since im new to rooting. I would like to know a few things. Should i download all these vertions of rom or Carbon 1.4 only which i think is the latest?

This is the development section - questions go in the question & answer section
There is cm11 - you will find it in the Dev section & the support thread in the general section (both threads are on the 1st page so I'm sure you can find them)
Note apps will still need to be armv6 compatible
I installed cm 12 on my samsung galaxy s3 neo and i dont really like it . I would like to get cm 11 but i cant do twrp recovery... I tryed evry single method.
