1. Go here.

2. Most of these ROMs are debloated, pick one, and flash it.

Not exactly, if he used the "script" part correctly. There's were a couple of scripts which remove a s**tload of bloatware when flashed in custom recovery, but really, REALLY faster way is custom ROM.
Maybe I shouldn't have responded at all, this is not the Q&A forum, nor the Exynos development forum (where most likely the script can be found), after all.

Here you go. Just extract the updater-script, add or remove apps that you don't want and put it back in the zip.

Hi
All safe to remove, But 1st freeze them with TB then reboot

[Q] How to install themes and kernels

How to install themes and kernels in G3. Can someone make a video Please.
Sorry if this might come off as rude, but why would somebody make a video for you? Why would somebody do that, if you (obviously) weren't willing to look for the info yourself? Go to the themes section, you are bound to find info on changing themes, go to the development section and open a custom kernel thread, you are bound to find info on flashing kernels.

go to the theme sections for more details..!!
you need your phone to be rooted to install themes..!!
many themes have different requirement and procedure.!!
generally you are required to replace the framework_res and tw_framework files in system/framework folder using root explorer..
you can also try the one click theme changer and g3 theme changer apps!!
more info in the themes sections.!!
you can install kernals by flashing them via odin!!!
more info in development section!!!!
you can always refer this link too!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858583
this is there in stubborn_donkey's signature!!
and always try to search in the sections for your answer.. if you still dont get any then you post a new thread..!!!
Thanks guys for the reply. If there was a video it would be nice. I tried to install theme by using cmw and install zip from sd card, then my phone restarts and gets stuck in that and i have to flash the os again.
to install a theme just use this
to install a kernel download the kernel whta you want and flash it with odin, normaly it comes in a tar file including a zImage inside

That was not the right way. U need to download a theme and replace the respective files
Acid lestitious 2.0. Fugumod 2.2
It's quite simple.
1. Kernels come in .tar packages, and you need only to flash them on your phone with ODIN as one package. They will overwrite your current kernel.
2. Themes come in .apk files. You should put them in /system/framework/
For that, I use adb (android shell).
But if you asked that question, you probably have an odexed rom, which makes it nearly impossible to use themes, so read around on the forums first!

[Q] Some Note 3 SM-N9005 Help Needed!!!!

Hey Guys and Gals,
I recently got a note 3 and I did root it and install a custom rom on it. The custom rom I have installed is Omega Rom. I heard that you install a custom rom because you can customize it much more than the stock rom but how do I customize it?
Also I am open to suggestions to install other roms which can be customized easily and I do not lose the S-Pen Features.
Also since I have rooted my phone which are the apps that are recommended that need to be installed?
Cheers

Look for the Omega files app in the app drawer for installing mods. You will not loose S-Pen options with Samsung based custom roms.

I personaly liked JackyAway rom and Lean Kernel, usefull apps are Titianium Backup, root explorer, Mobile Odin Pro, Triangle Away, superSU Pro, Helium. But there are many good roms and kerels, just try some cause its all a matter of preference.
In my opinion I would just read the first page of each rom and take a look at what the dev has done. Read fixes and make sure everything runs as it should. Sometimes they will post screen shots of what the user interface looks like and what tweaks they offer. YouTube each rom if you don't want to read everything. Many will explain the pros and cons of that particular rom. Hope that helps.

all custom roms sucks...as much you gain from them you loose more

I tried every rom posible and all have the biggest bug ever ...at least for me it is but nobody is talking about ...there is something i don't know ? there is no need to be mean to my question but why all roms have this problem with keeping the playstore apps updated ...why the apps revert to previous versions and why this is hapening only to custom roms ?.. if then i ask you what is the use of custom roms? ...
these days even a five years child can root install a custom cwm , a custom kernel a viper4 sound mod and debloat a original stock rom
Lol.
I haven't experience anything like that, in any Roms i have flashed.
Throw your s4 and buy some updated android device.

a custom rom is exactly what it says it is, a customised version of the original android operating system that somebody has, in their own precious time, played around with to try & give us something a little different for this ageing device. Chances are that if you went out tomorrow & bought an S7 edge & fired it up you would have to update some gapps, whichever you may use. I think you need to take a deep breath & have a little more appreciation & understanding for the things that go on here. If a 5 yr old is able to do what you claim then maybe you should turn your hand to contributing to the community................... but thats just my opinion......no offence intended
Is this guy for real? Apps simply don't revert to previous version after you update them. There's a simple setting in the playstore that allows auto update of your installed apps to the latest version when they become available. And is this how you lose from custom Roms? Lololololol I thought your device blew up or melted.
Buy an IPhone and explain us how cool is it. You'll enjoy it, for sure
Pls close delete this thread its useless.

and dude who started thread. It is simple. Don't use custom roms...

Believe it or not, but I have seen similar behavior with some of my apps.
I update it dl today and tomorrow I have to update again, but there doesn't seem to be any changes in the changelog.
But this happens rarely.
So I believe the OP exaggerates. This also started happening only recently, so it's either something related to the new Android updates - which means older ROMs (5.1 and below) should be safe - or something related to gapps.
To everyone who asked for this thread to be closed and/or brought up the fact it's in the wrong place, why did you not click on the little triangle at the bottom left of the post and report it? Mods can't do anything about it if they don't know there is an issue.
As to the OP, I actually tried keeping an Android 2.3.3 ROM's Google apps up to date - one of the features of the ROM I offered. To do that I didn't include anything but the Play Store. Today, such a task would be difficult. If you like, you can download a GApps package from OpenGApps on a daily basis and flash it yourself.

New Firmware - Old ROM

N910c user here with the latest 5.1.1 Firmware from SamMobile (N910CXXS2CPK1_N910COLB2COJ5_N910CXXU1COJ5).
Is it good/bad to flash an older ROM? A Custom ROM that based on an older firmware?
The device is currently on stock and rooted.
Mods: Please do delete/move this thread if there is a similar thread or wrong thread section.
Thanks!
Anyone?
Your questions are not easy to answer. It's all personal preference.
Some like ROMS that are as close to stock as possible, some like ROMs that are slim as possible, and don't have all the stock apps and want to install something else. Like a different messenger or launcher or email app.
Some like to have the latest and greatest on the phones or a Custom ROM that is based on another firmware. The problem there is most don't understand that the firmware was never built for their model of phone, so it won't always work right.

SimplROM Lite is about as slim as you can get. SimplROM is pretty good. There's a lot more dependencies then there used to be.
Take is slow and keep doing backups. If something breaks you can go back and bypass what you removed and move on.
