I just need to know when Samsung will update Galaxy Note 3 (N9005) to Lollipop?!
ANY NEWS ?!
If there would be any news, don't you think you would've already heard about it?
Samsung refuses to give even a clue about a Rom release. If you ask they give the old response that the firmware is in testing and may be released at any time...
Well as Exynos devices (however only for Russia) have got the official update I don't think ours will be much further from release. Now whether I will upgrade to it or not is an entirely different question. I think the update should be available within one month from now.

Do check for what version it is though, I mean 16 or 32GB, I don't know that. Again, that is for EXYNOS models only.

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has gotten their update yet? I've heard that the american S3's on Sprint are getting their update already... I am on the international S3 and still nothing... that kind of sucks considering the fact that the international ones are supposed to have the upgrade earlier. What about you guys?

Got the update. Not sure if update for your CSC is out yet. Should be out very soon though.
Why are you even waiting? Haven`t you learned anything from reading these forums?
Pick an official ROM you want from samsung-updates.com, download Odin3 and flash it.
This will NOT wipe your phone, it will NOT void your warranty, it WILL make you not wait anymore

Absolutly no need to root if all you want is just flash a stock rom with odin...
I opened kies today and and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware. I'm also in the us.

Thanks for letting me know. I totally did not know that... the thing is that samsung-updates.com do not have 4.1 for my region I guess.
My phone is : PDA:LG2 / PHONE: LG2 / CSC:LG2 (TTT) . So it must be a regional thing since you got the update today...

There will never be a specific US region update for the International GS3. The same was true for the International GS2. You'll have to download another country's ROM if you want to update. It doesn't matter. Just set it to U.S. English and that's it. I'm on AT&T and the ROM's CSC code doesn't matter either. I recommend the latest UK unbranded ROM build XXDLJ4. There are plenty of ROMs on this forum based on this build.
So what you're saying is that the upgrade OTA is determined by the current region of the rom? i.e. where I purchased the device?
I'm in San Francisco now but I bought my device in the Netherlands.
Can I just upgrade to the UK unbranded without a problem? What about US features like installing Google Wallet etc.

Dude just download the faryraab stock official and inside the package is Odin
Its so super easy. I have an American purchased 9300 that was originally a Brazilian firmware. Now I am always on uk btu mainly because its the latest and greatest.
Go to the general section and look for the latest official and its right there. No need to wipe or anything

Yes its a Good News for all Note 3 Owners,I think HTC declared Kitkat Upgrade for HTC ONE so Samsung must come faster to relies update to his new device.

Wouldn't get your hopes up it'll take Samsung at least 3 months before they get it out and even then if they do what they did with 4.2 and the s3 they'll just keep refusing to release it UNLESS there going to put a big update into knox in 4.4 that will completely stop and break all rooting.

I read everywhere that the Note II was updated to Android version 4.3 - all the US carriers.
I own the international version, GT-N7100 (imported by newegg.com from UK). I purchase it because I didn't want to wait for the US carriers to procrastinate with their updates. I thought that having a version that Samsung directly updates will be more prompt.
Here we are, forth week of January 2014 and I still have version 4.1.2
I wonder why is Samsung not updating the GT-N7100 to version 4.3.
It's surprising to notice that not too many people complain....

Well guys if you're in such a hurry to update (I completely understand - because I was too) then just flash with Odin. Download ROM for your country from Sam mobile and flash it! I did it couple of times because I couldn't wait for OTA (and OTAs wouldn't work anyway becasuse I was rooted)...

Yup me too. But I prefer to do it via kies. I go to sammobile and the moment I see my country formate available I connect my phone to pc and update via kies.

It's pretty much not in their business interests to give the latest updates to their phones. Otherwise people would not upgrade or change their devices every year.

finally today received 4.3 update for Sri Lanka
Does anyone have a leaked firmware update to 5.0 lollipop? For the sm-n900v (verizon)
Every other carrier already has it out. I'm on 4.4.4 kitkat. And want to update. I will root if nessasary as long as it doesn't affect knox. Thank you in advance.
Lol you should really read threads and look for information before posting. Most people wont even bother with your question if its already answered in a thread somewhere . First of you cant root 4.4.4. as of yet. I have a bounty going to get some incentive to get root. But it looks to be locked down tight and i dont see it coming anytime soon. No your stuck reguardless if there is a leak or not you have to wait for the upgrade release by verizon i would recommend not getting the firmware if you want root and wait to see what happens with development.

There is no leaked firmware from Verizon, no other firmware will load on the Verizon Note 3.
4.4.4 can not be rooted

Samsung haven't announced their release dates for the Note 3, but this list can give you a pretty good idea of when it's coming out:

I can confirm that it doesn't trip knox, and that it does install 5.1.1. Here's the tricky part. When the tablet boots it still says galaxy tabs s2, then flashes the samsung logo, then flashes the nook logo. I have all my previous apps now with the addition of several Nook apps.
It's almost as if it's a random hybrid.

it's not a official update.
Has anyone looked into the XAR one above?
UPDATE: the XAR does not have the Nook integration. In ODIN mode the Current Binary is Samsung Official and System Status is also Official.

I believe cellular south is an American provider (not a service I have). I have the WIFI only version and so far everything seems to be running smoothly.

There is only 4 ways to obtain a official update, downloading a rom and manually installing them is not considered official, I'm sure Samsung won't give you any download link to official rom.
Those are official, you officially don't know what you are saying....
